Last year, I rented Public Storage in Fountain Valley at 17300 Newhope Street Fountain Valley, CA 92708. I had a great experience renting from that site. I liked the professional and courteous staff who were helpful and attentive. My billing was correct and I was not overcharged for service. I thought my experience would be the same here at 4501 W MacArthur Blvd Santa Ana, CA 92704, however, it was not. Like last year, I was moving out my apartment before my apartment lease expired. I needed to move my items into storage. I began renting a unit here July 7, 2014. Upon meeting Anwar, the manager, I was bombarded with a bunch of questions about what things I was going to store in there. From my previous hassle-free experience, the other public storage location had already begun processing my "paperwork" and I was on my way to begin storing my items. Instead, I spent time here having to explain every detail to him. I felt like I was committing some kind of crime. In fact, he was noisy enough to even ask me what I do for a living, as if I was going to store stolen goods. Is this the new requirement now to rent a unit - to explain the story of my life? Like the Fountain Valley location, I was billed for the first months rent for July 7- August 7, 2014. However, I have not even rented at this location for a full month, however, today, August 2, 2014, I was billed for another month of rent. At the Fountain Valley location, I was not billed for the second month until my first full month of rent was over. In fact, I was able to move all my things out before the second billing was due and I was NOT overcharged for any service I had not received. Today August 2, 2014, I have checked out with Anwars assistant. He did not give me a confirmation printout like the Fountain Valley location. He said I was good to go and looked annoyed to address my concern. I asked him when I was last billed, he said I was billed again on August 1, 2014. When I came home and went online today, I discovered I was charged for the second month TODAY, August 2. Anwars assistant not only lied about my last charge for rent but charged my credit card and has not terminated my rental unit! It states the my unit is still in service and my next billing is September 1, 2014. I am completely dissatisfied with the service at this location. I feel as if I have been ripped off and lied to. Now, I will have to get a hold of Anwar when he gets back to the office sometime on a weekday this week. I have also had problems with his other female assistant who is clueless about the keys to unlock the carts. Why is she not given the keys to the carts?

I needed a temporary storage for my stuff and was looking for a place to store my stuff, went on Google and looked at the reviews,was very impressed with the reviews of this storage place,went to the storage place and was greeted by manager Anwar,he was very polite and very knowledgeable about the storage,I was very impressed with the location,it was very clean and very well kept,he helped me find the right size, with a good price and promotion that was available,he offered me all the product that he had in his store,he explained me the benifit of utilizing the correct size boxes and mattress covers, I even bought few boxes and 2 mattress covers,he explained the contract and put me on autopayment,for my piece of mind,overall I was very impressed with the manger and how proud he was of his location,I thank him for his help and would recommend this place for anybody looking for a storage,thankyou Anwar.

I have stored my motorhome and trailer at this location for some time. I have asked to have the trees trimmed that were hanging over my vehicles. They trimmed once over a year ago. I asked again since they were actually laying on the top of my trailer. I was told the home office would not approve the trimming. I then asked if there was a different space available. I was able to move my trailer to a new space. I was charged the service fee for a new space. I dont feel I should have been charged since it their doing that made me have to change the site. I would not recommend this to anyone who cares about their property. I also had a trailer broken into and they didnt seen to care what so ever.

Anwar the general manager has been amazing from the second we first called to see if there were any available parking places for our travel trailer. We paid our monthly fee right online without even having to call which we loved! And when we needed to stay an extra week we went in and talked to Anwar and Kurtis and they were more than accommodating. We are SO GLAD we called and decided to store our trailer here, best customer service weve EVER received from a storage company. THANK YOU ANWAR, WE WILL BE BACK SOON! :-) -Adam & Chad Thomas

me and my wife have been renting here for a while now. we originally went and looked around at a few storage locations but this one was the best. it was supper clean and Kurtis took the time to show us everything. the security system is top notch, cameras all over, little alarms on the units and Ive caught the managers walking checking that everything is ok. I have never felt so safe plus Kurtis has always stopped to make sure we are doing well and catches up with us on how our family is doing. you cant ask for better service. thank you

I remember when I came here 5 months ago for the first time. My wife had just thrown me out and I desperately needed to get a place to store my belongings. Anwar was the employee that assisted me with everything. He empathized with my situation and hooked me up with a great storage spot. It was so refreshing to find customer service so receptive and genuine. My heart goes out to the people who hired Anwar because he is the reason I stayed with public storage and not any other storage place. Thank you again for the great service!

I recently relocated from Chicago, IL to Southern California and while looking for an apartment with my boyfriend we decided to store my belongings in a storage unit temporarily. We were looking for a facility with climate control, good location, security and friendly staff. This facility had it all! More specifically, Anwar, the gentleman that checked me in went above and beyond to make my experience as enjoyable as possible. I would highly recommend renting a space out in this facility!
