I made an appointment at 8am for an oil change. Milton was handling appointments, and the jerk on his phone in front of me wouldnt move and Milton didnt tell him anything so I waited for 10 minutes to get helped because no one else was there. Finally I get everything sorted out and they tell me it will be a 45 minute wait, which is ridiculous! I could change my own oil faster than that! But I had a coupon and figured saving money is better than saving time. Finally my car is done and Milton informs me my timing belt needs to be changed. I nod my head agreeing and say "yeah I noticed that the other day too" but of course, because Im a woman, he had to explain why my timing belt needs to be changed and that leaving it is bad for my car. He wouldnt listen to me as I tried to say "I know, I work on my car all the time. I know what needs to be done!" Finally he starts ringing me up after lecturing me about taking car of my car properly, which I already know and do, and then some guy walks in from the back and interrupts us to say he needs air in his tires, I assume hes an employee who had come in on a day off or something since he came from the door leading into the garage. And Milton, instead of telling the guy to wait while he finished helping me, left! He just walked away while I sat there at the service desk with my card in hand ready to pay. Are you serious?!?! The customer service I received was a joke. I work in customer service and that is unacceptable to allow someone to interrupt and then just walk away from the person youre helping. He went in the back for a few minutes, while I sat there still waiting to pay, and finally came back and didnt even apologise. Needless to say, they lost my business and all my friends and families business as well.

I recently went to pep boys to have 1 headlight repaired. After receiving a quote over the phone for the headlight repair from 1 of the service representatives I went into the pep boys. The service manager number 808 Frank Gonzalez first tried to convince me to replace the timing belt in my engine for 800 dollars. After I told him I was unable to afford it he told me that the whiter and brighter headlights would replace all of my high beams and low beam for only 20 dollars more than the telephone quote, this however was not true. Frank told me all of this while aggressively pounding the keys on the keyboard and exhaling very loudly as if I my very presence was the bane of his existence. Frank Gonzalez was very rude to me and made me feel very uncomfortable for not knowing the terminology and certain aspects of headlight technology. When I came to pick up the car I had a new pair of hyper white low beams, but my high beams remained the same old ones. I was told by another service representative that Frank had gone home and there was nothing I could do to attempt to correct the problem short of paying for the additional hyper white high beams which would be another 40 dollars not including installation fees. I told the service representative that I felt I had been cheated into buying a product that did not do what Frank said it would. Tough luck. My negative review is not so much of a negative review of Pep Boys is a whole but more specifically of service manager Frank Gonzalez and his disregard for customer service. This guy will aggressively try to upsell you, and then make you feel stupid and uncomfortable for not being able to afford his pricey fix to your potential problem.

WENT TO HAVE MY BRAKES CHANGED 2 MONTHS LATER THE DEALER TELLS ME THEYRE ALMOST OUT SO I WENT BACK TO PEP BOYS AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY CAR THAT WAS THE PROBLEM AFTER BITCHING AND MOANING ENOUGH THEY "CHANGED" THEM AGAIN BECAUSE THEY WERE ON WARRANTY 3 MONTHS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN THEY CHANGED THEM FOR THE 3RD TIME AFTER I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SERVICE THEY FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT I GUESS ITS BEEN OVER 6 MONTHS BUT I WONT BE GOING BACK 3-4 HOUR WAIT TIME FOR BRAKES THEY DO ALWAYS TRY TO CHARGE YOU FOR MORE THAN YOU NEED AND AFTER MAKING ME WAIT 3-4 HOURS THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO GET AN ATTITUDE WITH ME BECAUSE I ASKED HOW MUCH LONGER THEY WERE GOING TO TAKE WITH MY CAR LIKE I DONT HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN WAIT AROUND FOR THEM TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT THIS HAPPENED THE 3 TIMES I TOOK IT IN IT WASNT JUST AN OFF DAY THERE WAS ONLY ONE NICE GUY THAT I ALWAYS SAW THERE AND WAS HELPFUL I DONT KNOW HIS NAME HE WAS YOUNG I THINK A BIT BALD, LIGHT COMPLEXION EVERYONE ELSE SUCKS

Im out of town and My wife told me the "AT" light came on. We live next door to a Pep Boys so I suggested She goes there since they are a 1 stop shop for fluids and repairs. However, when my wife went inside and asked the man inside for help checking her fluids, an employee behind the counter named Rubin, a Hispanic male with a pony tail, told her NO and that she would have to pay $90 for him or any other Pep Boys employee to check the cars fluids. This was a huge shock since Pep Boys has been a trusted name since my childhood and my wife had our 2 small children with her and clearly was in need of help. We do not know if this man was being lazy or if he was trying to rip her off being that she is female. Rubin just gave Pep Boys a horrible reputation with us and we do not plan on ever going there again. They have lost a life long customer.

Definitely avoid Pep Boys, their prices are just as lousy as their service. When their coupons come out, strangely everything gets a little more expensive. Tried to get a price match because of their horrid prices, they told me i had to go to the other mechanic and get a written estimate. So ide have to pay for the inspection drive over to the other guy, get the estimate, and drive back. So i asked if they could just call the other mechanic to get an estimate over the phone or else i was going to the other mechanic. They put me on hold and i was able to drive all the way down to Pep-boys on hold from which i retrieved my car and brought it to a more honest mechanic. Funny part is, im still getting ripped off and its much cheaper to get ripped off at any of the other guys.

Unbelievable. Lets see EDDIE (Service Manager/pep duds), how many times does it take to get this right??? Headlights still an issue. 10 (TEN) times no exaggeration back to have my headlights replaced. This will make it 11 ELEVEN. The WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Avoid at ALL costs. Mainly because of the WOST SErVICE MANAGER in history or non existent service. Get another job dude. This one is for sure not for you. Management is a joke as well. I wrote corporate and they seem not to care as well. No call back of returned email. The laziest crew I have ever been around. I only go back now because its turned into a joke. My next step is a lawsuit for all the days and times Ive wasted. This is not a rant. THIS IS A WARNING.. Stay away from this place at all costs.
