Ive been a tenant renting at first two units and now one for over five years. I lived in Sherman Oaks for a very short time in 2009 before transitioning to the west side. I needed a convenient unit (s), one very close to where I was staying. There are a multitude of storage units everywhere in Los Angeles, including Santa Monica and the surrounding areas. As long as I need a storage space I will never Extra Space Storage in Sherman Oaks...and its because of June and Larry. June has been extremely accommodating and just plain nice!! Always pleasant, always happen to see me, even if shes busy and I feel as if shes a friend. Now I realize we dont necessarily have to befriend those we do business with. But we should! And June does. Kindness, courtesy and service go a long way. And so does cleanliness. The facility is absolutely spotless, well lit...easy to access and completely safe. For all of these reasons, but especially June and then Larry, Ill drive across town and leave my business with Extra Space Storage in Sherman Oaks. I recall a time when I was first moving in carrying one of my bass guitars out of storage for a gig (yes but when you have abundance of musical instruments and limited space) Larry spotted the instrument and asked me about my playing and where I was headed. Hell still ask me about playing from time to time. And June and I have shared info about our families, our children. Now do I do this with everyone? Do I want to? No, but I certainly enjoy with June.... Its clear she loves her job and that love extends to the customers, people like me. Storage can be a pleasant experience and it really is at this particular facility. Kindness, courtesy, helpfulness ?? Youll get that here.

I had the BEST experience at ExtraSpace Storage! June was such a delight to work with. She literally saved the day twice for me! I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles and at 5pm the night before I was to move into our new home (the movers were to arrive at 8am the next day), I found out there was a problem with the closing and I couldnt move into the house as originally planned. After calling several other storage facilities in the area none of them were helpful whatsoever because they didnt have any appointments available that same evening despite my pleas of being desperate for a unit. I drove passed extra spaces and ran in at the very last minute and June was more than helpful at showing me around and assisting us to purchase a months worth of storage. Not only did she help me with that but the next morning when the movers showed up she assisted us with keeping the gate open for an extra long semi truck. I am very happy I found not only this storage unit but got to work with June during this stressful time!!

I stored my stuff at two other storage facilities before I ended up at the Extra Space facility on Sepulveda in Sherman Oaks, and it was my favorite by far. The place is large, clean, well-maintained. It feels secure and the staff has always been courteous and helpful. I like that theres plenty of room to drive your truck or van in (at one of the other facilities I used, I had a lot of trouble getting around corners with a small U-Haul truck, but at this Extra Space facility, no problem -- plenty of space). The pricing is fair, with some great deals for new customers (I hate that the rate goes up every year but I believe thats true of all storage facilities). And they have a nice variety of unit dimensions. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later than 7pm every day, but if that means higher rates, then never mind. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Ive been a customer at this facility since 2002. Management is great, June is the best! Larry and Shaun are friendly and always helpful. The facility is clean and safe. I have never had a problem or security issue in 13 years. You have access to your unit 365 day a year from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. I personally would like access earlier and later from time to time but because of the location around residential buildings, I dont think they can extend the hours. My only issue is with corporate. Count on regular price increases like clockwork. Little consideration for customers in good standing that have been loyal for many years. If it wasnt for this, would have given 5/5. That being said, if you need to store important personal items for long or short term you need to consider this facility.

If you are looking for a clean, secure self storage facility, great prices, and knowledgeable, friendly staff, than look no farther than Extra Space Storage. I recently stopped by without an appointment to rent a storage unit, and to check out the facility in person, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I had the pleasure of working with Amanda, who was extremely friendly and kind, knowledgeable, and made sure that I got exactly the kind of unit that I was looking for, at a great price. So if you want amazing customer service, from friendly, knowledgeable staff, the kind that we rarely get to experience anymore, but keep hoping for, then look no farther than Extra Space Storage. Extra Space Storage has always been my storage space for the past 15 years. Ive moved many times, throughout the years, and I always come back there. Besides knowing that my belongings are safe, with surveillance cameras, the staff there has always been so friendly. June has been there since day one, 15 years ago and shes the friendliest, sweetest person youll ever meet. This isnt just a business, its more like an extended family. The main reason I keep coming back is because of June. She knows my family, and has seen my son grow up throughout the years. I recommend this place highly, as the staff really cares about you as a person and the safety of your belongings. They are the best!!!!

Ive been a customer here for almost 3 years now. The place is clean, secure and easy to access. The management is very helpful and personable. My only complaint would be the annual rate increase. I just passed my 3rd increase and its getting to the point that it doesnt make sense to incur the extra expense every month just for storage. I know the economy stinks and costs rise but I think they should raise rates less for long term customers and more for turn-over customers. After all, their average clients are in and out within 2 months. Anyway...aside from that, I recommend them. And if you recommend them, they will send you a $50 Amex Giftcard. I did get mine once and it was very helpful.

I have had a space or two at this facility from the very beginning. The building has always been impeccably clean - we even had an unannounced visit from the FDA and they found no fault with our storage space! Security is an issue for our personnel, and we have always felt very secure at the Extra Space facility, knowing that the gates and monitors are being watched. And the service by June and Larry consistently goes beyond the call of duty. They have such a pleasant attitude and have helped us in many stressful situations. I have rented spaces at other facilities before, but since being at Extra Space I would never go to another public warehouse.
