My experience with Xtra Space in Venice has been a decidedly mixed blessing. The facility is clean and well kept, with lots of different sized spaces to choose from, I dont ever have to worry about the safety of my belongings (in terms of theft) and the location is perfect for me. Its extremely easy to access the lockers; Ive been in places in the past where it was a serious journey to get to my stuff. They have lots of packing stuff in the office. There was a disorganized phase recently while they were between managers, but the current managers are extremely accomodating and have treated me quite well, going out of their way to be helpful, since Ive had some serious problems. Ive been in there a few years, and got water damage twice during bad rains; Ive been assured that the roof has been repaired, and didnt notice any water leaking anywhere after the last big rain, but the last time I got rained on was quite a nightmare -- I had to move all my stuff myself on a Sunday afternoon! Also, the rates have gone up a lot over time, and the units are by no means the cheapest you can find...

I rented a storage unit here for about two years. The facilities were always clean and well lit. Since my unit was upstairs and down a corridor, this was important to me. Also, when visiting twice a month for two years, I always found a parking space near the entrance of the building and a hand cart ready for me by the door when I walked in. When I needed to purchase boxes or just ask questions, Ricky the manager was always accessible in the office and was always extremely polite and professional. I couldnt have asked for a better storage experience. Alas, I finally cleaned out my unit today and checked out in the office. Even that was an easy experience. I wish Ricky and the rest of the team at Extra Space Storage well and I hope to see them the next time I need a storage facility.

No way would I ever come here again. THERE IS NO MANAGER THAT LIVES ONSITE AS THEY SAY. There was a bum who even rents from them on the 2nd floor. It was unsettling being a female there on a sunday & straightening out my storage unit & this drunken weird drugged out bum comes up there only to learn that his space was right down from mine. He was harassing me, but the managers , when I had told them about this, didnt seem to care. Interesting how they clam to have cameras everywhere..when they dont. I moved my stuff out to a safer & better place. VEry unsafe & they lie.. There was a homeless lady there today lingering around where the storage units were & the manager did nothing..in fact she was there after he went home

Me gusta mucho el servicio, los precios y la facilidad esta fenomenal, limpia y segura. Se los recomiendo a todos. Si vives en Venice or Marina der Rel, no busques mas, aqui esta el mejor auto-almacenaje de la ciudad. Hay carritos para mover cosas, venden cajas, candados, cinta y hay buen estacionamiento. Estoy muy contendo con mi extra space!

I recently referrred a friend to Extra Space Storage Venice which is managed my Ricky Corado. Ricky really did take care of my friend whom needed a space for a year or more. My friend was able to move right in and go about his business right away without hesitation and commented to me about the cleanlines, security, kind demeanor, professionalism, unit access and how he appreciates his "new" home compared to his "old" home at Public Storage. A real win win for everyone. I will not hesitate to refer friends and family to Rickys location. Hes a good man and a great manager.

Moving is really stressful and I didnt know anything about storage companies but when I came here the staff was so knowledgable and professional about helping me determine what size unit I would need for my stuff and they even have all the packing supplies like boxes and tape etc right in the office. What stood out to me compared to other storage facilities I look at was that the facility was very convenient with its large parking lot, it is really clean, feels secure, and the staff was so friendly and nice.

Best experience weve ever had at at a storage facility by far. The management keeps the place spotless and they are constantly walking the facility, checking locks, cleaning up, etc. so you know your belongings are safe. We have a small business in town and are constantly shipping things into and out of Extra Space - the management has always gone above and beyond to help us out with UPS, etc. and let us know when new shipments come in. Great experience, highly recommend!

Cleanest storage ever. Love the staff here. Everyone knows me by name and I feel very safe here say and night coming here alone. I recommend it to all of my friends who need storage. Its new and actually nice looking. Its also in the best area. Right at abbot Kinney and I can grab lunch across the street at the healthfood store Erewhone or walk 1/2 a block to all that Abbot Kinney has to offer. Easy to get to from the freeway. I have zero complaints and Im super picky.

UNSAFE..There was a fire here a year ago..i posted the photos of the homeless woman lingering around the inside area of the storage. Ricky , the "live in manager" did nothing. He saw her & left & went home. I just got back from my storage...she was still there and its almost 9pm..i called their call center & they didnt seem to care. UNSAFE..MAYBE SHE WILL CAUSE ANOTHER FIRE..THE HOMELESS WOMAN WENT INSIDE THE STORAGE UNITS AREA ..SO IM SURE SE IS STAYING THERE

I have been a Extra Space (Venice) customer since Oct. 2013 and cant say enough good things about the facility and the staff!! the property is always clean and the staff esp the Manager Ricky, are always polite and helpful, i was a previous Public Storage cust, but the gate hours of 6am - 10pm that extra space have cant be matched, all in all just a much, much better experience, if your looking for storage needs in Venice save time and go here first!!

I found this facility in a pinch when I didnt get the place I thought I was going to move into and I couldnt have been more pleased. The price was extremely competitive and the facility was very clean, well air conditioned and super convenient. They have carts for you to use which is very helpful and they really value security so I had no worries about my stuff being safe. The location also cant be beat, I definitely recommend it.
