They go over the contract "point by point" but conveniently they forget to mention that the rates are not guaranteed and can change every 6-12 months. They claim they sent a card (really... a card?) a month before the rent increase. Never got their mail, but I sure receive their emails. None of them mentioned anything about the rate increase until the invoice with the new rent was emailed to me. So all the great comments about Cindy, Laura, etc... are from people who are unaware of the surprise theyll get after 6-12 months of renting. I doubt any of the PS employees informed these people about the "rates are not guaranteed and can change every 6-12 months" stipulation in the rental contract. Then you call the 800# and you get a "customer service" rep like Carlos who says "we dont care whats peoples situation, we rent to everybody." and "we are renting commercial spaces, there is no rent control, we can increase the rate as much as we want if the demand is high". Nice. So I shouldnt b*tch about a mere 15% increase... TRUE customer service, eh? NOT!!

Public Storage Corporate I have rented storage space from several companies over the years. Some were small independents and others were large corporations like Public Storage. But I have never, ever been treated with as much friendliness courtesy and thoroughness as I have with Cindy and Cruz at this facility. Public Storage Corporate should be grateful to have employees like this, especially the understanding they have given me during a very difficult time in my life. They are prompt, accommodating and keep me abreast of any issues with regular phone calls. I appreciate this level of service because you just dont see it very much these days. Michael

Please be careful. Public Storage Tarzana was broken into last night and valuable items were taken from my storage room. Customer service is helpful considering but please note when filing a police report that they only have two cameras onsite....one when you pull in with your car and one when you leave. No elevator entry or hall cameras to check on people coming in and out. This is a GLARING OVERSIGHT. We have had this room for over ten years and felt very comfortable until this morning and yes our items are insured but we always thought of them as secured. My wife and I now know it is not! Please be careful

I had a unit that was very dark, big, and difficult to access distance from car to unit. I had checked periodically for a different unit and none was available. Then just before I was getting ready to bring in a very large amount to store I thought I would check one more time. Guess what I was able to get a large unit to drive up to and have daylight to see. Laura was not only helpful but encouraged me to keep coming back to check. She made the switch of units painless and with a smile. She was as happy for me as I was! Thanks for having great employees. I have stored my goods with them for about 4 months and cant recall any issues along the way. The only reason I took off 1 star is because when you need to get rid off extra stuff, their trash is nowhere to be found so I had to load all my extras to my car and look outside places to dump them off. All of their employees are friendly and helpful. I did my checkout with Liz today, she had a great attitude and did fast and smooth job so I was in and out pretty quick. I will definitely use their storage for my future needs.

The girls (Laura & Cindy) are great very friendly nice attitudes, funny and made me feel welcomed even though I was just looking at prices. I might be moving soon cross country and wanted to check out my options. Great pricing and the best part is there access time, it really does help that I can access the unit late because I work Monday- Friday and dont get off until 6:30 so the time work. I would recommend this location to all my friends and family. keep up the Great job ladies hope to see you soon

I have enjoyed leasing a storage space in this location. Cindy in particular was very kind and helpful the minute I walked in to check in until the very moment of me ending the lease! She walked me through the whole process and answered all of the questions which bothered me. The price was reasonable as well and I have enjoyed doing business with public storage at this location. Moving and storage of personal items can be so stressful, but the staff at the Tarzana store made everything much easier. Friendly, courteous and prompt with service, the staff here is a winning team. Special mention for Cindy and Laura for their help and pleasant manner. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good deal on a clean site that you can feel safe storing your items at, to try out this location.

i Been to other public storages cause their are so many by my house but this time i was in the area n needed boxes n asked about maybe getting a lil storage the girl was so nice she explain to me how it all works such a difference from the ones around my house i loved my experience thanks so much for the help girls i believe her name was cindy i wont have think about it twice when wanting to hit any public storage

I guess life presents you with good and bad experiences. Well the experience i had at Public Storage Tarzana was truly amazing. Working with Cindy and corporate head quarters in glendale California. I was able to get free rental space for a month. I mean really? Free sqare footage in los angeles? Well its true. Experience for yourself. Went to look for a storage unit today with a close friend of mine and Liz, the property manager, had to be one of the sweetest people Ive ever met! Amazing customer service with a great attitude. This is the first storage unit my friend has ever rented and Liz answered all of our questions and then some. We truly appreciate all Lizs help and kindness - she totally made our day.

Bad customer service. Not willing to satisfy the customer with a simple gesture by escorting me to my unit. Ive manged million dollar retail stores, and I would never jeopardize great customer service especially over something so simple. But unfortunately this is America and anybody can get a customer service clerk job even when they dont know how to fully service customers.

This facility has a very friendly staff and I want to compliment Cindy. She handled my payment transaction smoothly and efficiently. Ive been to the facility on Sepulveda and Oxnard St Van Nuys CA in and that was a terrible experience. It seemed that they were in a hurry to leave and close the registers at 5:50 pm Kudos to Cindy for being such an exemplary employee.

I was here today helping my girlfriend move out of her unit we where kind of surprised that the office was closed most of the morning due to a meeting but Liz and Dan got back after a while and really helped us out by them offerring dollies to make the move much easier and such a fast and easy process we are definitely coming back in the future you guys are amazing!!!!
