I think that if you want a basic and common haircut then this is a good place but I went there wanting a haircut that I knew was uncommon and probably difficult to do. I went there for the first time on 3/30/2015. My hair was med-long, the common hairstyle that most young guys have when its long enough to cover the ears. I wanted only to have the top and back trimmed minimally, with the back still hanging over my neck, but the sides cut short almost like a fade. So its a kind of grown-out mohawk. The lady who cut my hair did a good job except that she didnt cut it even close to what I had asked for and I showed her a very clear picture of myself with the haircut from a year prior. She assured me that she knew exactly what I was asking for and that the picture made it easy for her to understand that. But again, it wasnt even close. It was so far off that I pretty much walked out of there with a common short haircut with a fade on the sides. I didnt even have the proportions to grow into the haircut I wanted. I dont know if there was a language barrier but she was very certain that she understood what I wanted even when I interrupted her work a couple times to check that she knew what I wanted in certain areas, and yes I was very kind and polite about it. She also was very nice and pleasant and quick. I was out in less than 20 minutes. I cant say however, that a $15 haircut is worth it when I didnt get what I asked for.

Have been going to great clips for a long time and I always get the same hair cut....until today. I walked in and signed in, the usual routine, then I was called and I told the lady that I wanted the exact same haircut as before. She said "ok". Then she said "ok so u want 1/2 inch on the bottom of the back and side and a #1 on the top of the back and side and a #2 on top".(the tappered look) I said, "yes". And then she cut my hair and then when she was done with everything and was about to do the top she asked me "so a #2 on top?" I said "yes". She said"ok". Then the most horrible thing happend. When she was done with everything my mom came over and said that she cut my whole hair at 1/2 inch...THE WHOLE HEAD TOP, BACK AND SIDES!!!!! I was so mad and now embarrassed, I have important events coming up and I dont know how ill be able to show up looking like I shaved my head. This incident has made me change my mind on great clips. Id rather go to sports clips that pays $25-$30 on a hair cut because they dont do a BIG mess up like this. This is not a mistake a stylist (person from great clips said was only there) is supposed to make. This is unexceptable. To everyone I caution you, make sure they do ur hair cut right.

I have been going to great clips for a long time.. but this was my first time at Sunnyvale... The lady listened to my instructions and acted like she understood.... Then she went ahead and cut my hair really short and gave me a completely new hairstyle. Even told me at the end that this suits me better. I really dont care for you to force your opinion on me.. I just want someone who would cut my hair the way I want it cut. It was a very bad experience for me.

Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon. The manager, who was cutting my hair said that she did not know how to do a lineup and made me look like a Paul Frank Monkey. When I tried to tell her how to cut my hair to my needs, she told me to cut my own hair. We got our refund but the customer service and the hair cutting was bad overall. Would never come here again.

I needed a last minute haircut in the middle of a work day and decided to take a chance on a walk-in place. BEST DECISION EVER! LEXY is an amazing stylist - she gave me exactly what I was looking for, and guided me away from a minor bad choice. I walked out of Great Clips with one of my top 3 favorite cuts ever. ASK FOR LEXY! She knows what shes doing. :)

Very friendly place. I walked in off the street and after a reasonable wait got the cut I asked for whilst having a nice chat. Most of the clientele were families with young kids getting quick dry cuts, so its not a high end salon by any means. It is clean, well equipped and busy, so others must rate it highly too.

I am happy with this place. I usually ask for the same hair stylist. The mobile app is amazing! You schedule your appointment ahead of time which in most cases promises no to very little wait. (I wish you could select your hairdresser when you book it on the phone to get a more accurate estimation)

This is the Worst place to go.. I have asked to remove just 1 inch and make even all over but she left 1 inch on the top and trimmed completely on sides and back and said it looks better in this way.. They dont know how to cut the hair with a scissor.. Never had this kind of worst experience.

Lexy made even my very straight, very fine and very thick hair look good, which is a difficult job. And while I waited, I saw her do some amazing artistry with a sculpted short style. Im extremely happy to find such a talented stylist near my new office.

Got a haircut here. Checked in 10 minutes before the closing time so the hairdresser was not too happy but I told its for graduation ceremony over the coming weekend so she was nice. Liked the haircut. Got long layers with face framing. Used a coupon.

Love this place! Friendly, professional staff. Nice environment. Very cool online check-in mobile application that shows if there is a wait time and lets you check in for a visit. Regularly get a haircut just how I like it. Thank you.

Dont bother to check in.. They dont honour that.. Extremely poor service. Just avoid this location. Faced these issue multiple times at this location. The staff doesnt understand numbers or numbered sequences i guess

This place is TERRIBLE! They cut my sons head and gave my husband a crappy hair cut. I had a coupon that was texted and they said I couldnt use it because I needed it to be printed. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

Ive been here several times and noticed that my haircut is never on par. There are always stray hairs left unclipped they always mess up on the front bangs. I will only go here if I dont have other options.

This is the worst place for haircut.. They dont accept any electronic coupon even if the coupon is only for electronic and no need to print.. Im sure the manger is cheering , it happend 3 times for me
