I went here regarding collecting USPS insurance for some damaged merchandise that was sent me via eBay. The seller and I are amazed. I was told to have the seller do the formalities and the seller was told to have the buyer process it. So after another post office that said come back on Monday for the inspector, when it was Monday around 4PM as they said that, I decided to try this post office. When I described the situation to the guy at the counter, he kept giving me answers decorated with it SEEMS reasonable that such and such would be the case. When it got down to it. He didnt know. Then he said do it online but failed to mention that I would need an insurance receipt, which the seller had, so thats why I came in person to find out how to do things rather than run in circles. The USPS gal next door said I could try Angel at yet another Post Office as she isnt up on the insurance part. So I asked the guy to please let the post office know that it would be helpful if, online, the process was made clearer considering what I had described. He sarcastically said that he would be sure to let the internet thingy people know while gesticulating with his hands, laughing, and speaking in a mocking tone. I told him to be sure report a sarcastic employee as well and walked off. The USPS can be very inefficient, but must the employees be sarcastic and uninformative also?

First of all, when my package was attempted to be "delivered" , I was at home. And they (of course) didnt leave a slit. However since I got an e-mail from Amazon about "attempted deliver", I went to the post office. The person checked it and said the package is not there and it was delivered to my apartment leasing office. Ok, right after I left the post office, I went to the leasing office. No package. Waited the whole day at home but nothing came. So I called the post office to see if there is my package later that day. They had the package. So I went back and waited in a long line AGAIN. I happened to talk to the same person that I talked in the morning. His English was hard to understand but I gave him all the info he needed including tracking number and he came back with my package. He said I told him wrong street name that is why he couldnt find it. He said he asked me my streets name but I didnt hear him asking my streets name at all. I understand English is not his first language and its my second language too but he basically blamed that on me. Also I was just pissed he lied to me that the packaged was already delivered to the leasing office. I know its a busy time of year and everybody is stressed but I am very angry and disappointed about poor service.

If I could give a negative star review I would. They marked an undelivered delivery to my office on a Saturday as "delivered" Just 20 minutes earlier on the same day they marked another delivery as "business closed" All of the deliveries to my office are always marked as "Delivered, In/At Mailbox" The following work day they delivered everything but the package marked as "delivered" on that Sat. I spoke to the supervisor at the local Post Office. I believe her name is Mariam. She took my info, repeated it back to me with the wrong address, never bothered taking the tracking number until I gave it to her, she was supposed to cb but never did, tried to call again and it just rings and rings or they hang up on you. This was a bday gift for my gf. No one seems to care at all. Sorry public employees. But if this is how you treat your customers then there is simply no reason to support the public sector. Next time were asked to support the post office I will not being doing so. If paying a few more dollars for a more competent private service does the trick, then so be it. Too bad!

I ordered a package online and forgot to include my apartment number. My tracking showed that it was an undeliverable address and when I asked the post office about this, they informed me that it would get sent back to the sender. I asked if I could provide my tracking code and have them update the address. The lady I spoke with informed me that she could not input it into the computer but would call the driver and have him write my unit number on the package. When she told me this, I sighed thinking, "ya, right, sure you will call the driver and sure he will go into his truck, find the package and manually fix my address.." Well it turns out that is exactly what they did..My package got delivered today and although their standard policy is to send it back to sender, they went the extra mile to help me. Remember, it is the post office - they do what they can within the limits of government policy. - Which is usually 1/5 stars, hence the current overall rating..There are some nice people here, if you try hard enough, you will find them..

Stopped by here to pick up a flat rate box ... they should be in the holder ... easy to get to. The holder was empty. Long line, two people working. Asked one of the clerks if there were any flat rate boxes. He directed me to a woman working at the end. Waited until she finished with her customer. Asked about flat rate boxes. Very surly response that she would not work with boxes, she had a bad back, everyone knew that, go ask the men working. Gee, there are people who want to work. There are businesses that want to succeed. This branch of the post office has AWFUL employees and they have absolutely no interest in having the business succeed. I left and went to a postal substation near me. Took less than a minute and I had the box I needed. Not all post office branches are this bad. But the Woodland Hills Branch is what gives all government businesses and employees a bad name. If this was a real business everyone working there would be fired and replaced.

USeless Post Office!!! Priority mail "Out for Delivery" on Feb 9 9:05am. Did not get mail "Undeliverable as Addressed" at 6:10pm. Went to USPS Feb 10 8:35am and was told they could not find my mail and supervisor "Carlos" would give me a call when they find mail from the mailman responsible, who was not yet at work. Tried making numerous unanswered calls to USPS and got no call from "Carlos". Went back 1pm and spoke to female "latina looking/accent" supervisor and was told that package was returned to sender on Feb 9 that evening because of "Undeliverable as Addressed" and could do nothing about tracking/getting back the mail. Went out of town Feb 10-12 and found out that the Priority mail was delivered Feb 10 3:38pm. The female supervisor lied to me. Horrible service!!!
