I like the employees, but one must realize that this is an underfunded post office. It reflects the bias of the people in charge to put more energy and enthusiasm into post offices in other neighborhoods, instead of this more economically challenged neighborhood. For example they cut back on the hours of this post office to save money. It is not longer in full service on Saturdays. It no longer opens early on weekdays. Also usps changed the way the mail is routed so the daily mail is no longer routed to and leaving directly from this post office. So the mail for this zip is really first sent to Hoffman heights (80012). That sometimes leads to confusion when you get a package and a slip to pick up your package. Sometimes they make a mistake and leave the package in Hoffman heights. It seems to me a bit biased and unfair that post offices in richer neighborhoods have better service and more hours. Also I think the public services should be more equal. Especially since people in the Dayton area rely more on public transportation they cannot travel to other post offices. Having the hours cut therefore impacts their service. Im sure for some people who do not have a car to drive to the 11th street post office a few miles away, can longer get to a post office before having to get to work because this post office no longer has early opening hours. I will say however that the employees at this post office are really really nice. I disagree with the other reviews in that regard. Sometimes there are long lines and that is not the employees fault. If there is a fault it is the upper management of USPS and the lack of awareness of fairness and equality to serve the us citizens in an equal way regardless of their economic status.

Ive never seen slower workers in my life. One clerk took 20 mins. to tape up one package while the customer stood there and watched - instead of telling her to step aside and do it herself. They wont leave things by your door, so you have to go in all the time... when my lease is expiring, this will definitely play into whether I want to remain in this area... I spend over an hour and a half a week WAITING to get my mail!

We try to help the postman as much as possible. I feel it not our job to get the mail to where it belong. I feel the postman should deliver our mail to our home and no one else. This has been a problem and still a problem. Please hire people who can tell the difference between 1760 and 1780, and can tell the difference between Galena and Geneva,

I never receive my packages from them even though they say delivered, also sometimes when it says delivery attempt but no one answered that is complete bs cause Im at home 24/7 so they lie about even trying to deliver. Ive called and complained several times about missing packages. Nothing has changed.

never pick up phone what I tried for passport appointment but on the other hand they dont take passport application without appt. does not make any sense to me. I am not sure do they expect us to go there one day for making appointment and another day for the application?

This is hands down the slowest, most inept group of postal workers I have ever had to deal with. Every time I have to go here I leave angry. USPS - TRANSFER OR HIRE SOME PEOPLE WHO WANT TO, AND ARE CAPABLE OF DOING THE JOB, THE ONES YOU HAVE HERE ARE NOT CUTTING IT.

this place sucks. they never pick up the phone and every time I put in for a re-delivery, I still have to go in and pick it up because they either forget about it or they just don deliver it. Im sick of this post office.

Because you use my area for training Im not getting all my BILLS and l get other peoples mail from blocks away. This has been going on for about 2 years. Ive had neighbors bring my mail. What the hell.
