Ive never lived at a place before where USPS has failed me this many times. It practically pains me to write this review but I’ve been thinking about doing this now for the last 3 years, and I need to vent on how ineffective our post woman/man is. I get mail for my neighbor down the street every week and our names are nothing alike. I even have my full name written in huge font inside the door of my mailbox. Two times now I’ve not had my package delivered because I “wasn’t home” which I very much was on both occasions. What’s worse is, I have dogs that always bark when someone comes down our driveway, and the “you weren’t home notes” were left at the mailbox telling me that our post man/woman didn’t even take the time to see if we were home. One of the two times this happened they didn’t even leave a slip for me to claim the package and I had to go in and wait while they confirmed I was who I said I was. The final straw, and why I’m leaving this review was due to the recent package I had “delivered” to me. It was marked as “delivered near my front porch or door” and it was not there (I live in a neighborhood where the likelihood of it being stolen is roughly 0%). I called in and was on hold for 10 minutes (I get that, it’s holiday season and things are busy). The guy who helped me out on the phone was very helpful and was the only thing that eked 2 star out of me for this post office. In summation, my biggest gripe is our mail person. I know that it’s not an easy job (my best friend’s dad was postman for 26 years) and I get that a mistake may happen every now and then, but I get wrong mail literally on a weekly basis because they don’t read the names and think that 2s look like 3s. Now to wait and see if I ever get my package. I don’t know if you need more postal employees, if the ones you have are overworked, or we just happen to have someone who is lazy and doesn’t care about their job, but I really think something must change. I’m sorry to leave such a crappy review but at this point I’m kind of fed up.

We live in Prairie Meadows, which is right next to the Cottonwood subdivision and we have TERRIBLE service. I cant tell you how frustrated I am with these people. First of all, we continually get neighbors mail, and ours continually goes to the neighbors. When we finally get it, we see that our address is clearly marked on it, thus why in the world was it delivered to someone else? Additionally, we get mail addressed to our family members in Grand Junction and Salt Lake City sent to us. We have changed ours and their addresses 4 times now and we STILL get their mail! We have had numerous packages that have had broken/shattered contents inside. This summer we went on vacation for 6 weeks and I personally handed in a forwarding slip for our mail to be forwarded to our vacation home and guess what? After not receiving our mail for 2 weeks at our vacation home, I called and they never honored our forward!!! This meant that we had mail (BILLS) sitting in our mailbox that we would not be able to get to for 4 more weeks!! This last week I had a slip in our box stating that our mail was being held at the post office to pick up. I went to get it, and basically was chewed out from the guy stating that I needed to check my mail more often so it didnt pile up in my tiny little box. I informed him that 90 percent of the content isnt even ours because they have failed to acknowledge all of the address changes and I do check my mail every day!! Is there any way to file a formal complaint? I am so fed up with these people! We were LATE on bills this summer because they didnt do their job. Weve had broken packages, we even had a $10,000 check sent to our neighbors that THANKFULLY they brought to us, although it was 2 weeks later. The post office itself is so slow. Plan on going in there and potentially standing there for an hour. The last two times Ive been there were between 45 and 60 minutes. Not to mention, the guy was so rude to me!

They lost a package scheduled to arrive at our home on Monday that apparently was delivered to the wrong address and then picked up and lost in oblivion. Been corresponding with the folks from the post office but they have been no help thus far in retrieving the lost package. Each time Ive called Ive been given the run around and told I would recieve a call later but none is on the way. This post office is horrendous, never had an issue at my prior address, I will be sure to escalate the situation soon through complaining following the complaint link below and pursuing the highest ranking official in the district I can speak with. I never thought I would be posting a review about a post office on the web but people need to take action regarding this when their will surely be more problems for the community they serve in the future. Hopefully if enough of us complain they will rencocile their terrible handling of our important mail. Till I can feel assured this issue is corrected I will be going through any other means to get packages delivered to my home.

This post office is deplorable. We constantly get neighbors or former tenants mail, making me wonder how much of our mail is missing. In addition, our mail man is a thief. Once we caught him in the midst of a theft and the office made him turn around and actually deliver the package. It had been ripped open and resealed with official USPS packing tape. They have no shame, packages are constantly delivered opened and the mail man doesnt even bother to reseal them now. They stole my disabled veteran husbands medication from our locked mailbox. The thief has gotten smarter, instead of putting packages that would fit in the locked mailbox or locked parcel locker they now say they delivered an item to the front door instead and of course theres no package. I work from and have a dog that begins growling and barking if anyone come with a few feet of our door so I know it wasnt delievered and stolen by someone else.

This post office is terrible. We had people move out of our home and this office incorrectly forwarded all of our mail our roommates new location, even though the online forwarding was done by individual, not as family forwarding. We have spent the last 2 months trying to fix it, with no success. We are still not getting any of our mail. This is extremely unfortunate since we recently were married and many important pieces of mail were lost. (ie: my new drivers license and wedding cards that have yet to be tracked down) The forwarding system that they use is terrible and no one at the actual post office has been able to help us at all. I now have to take more time off of work to go in to the DMV and re-pay for a drivers license and hope that eventually, anyone that tried to send us card/gifts will have the items returned to them. But with the luck we have had so far, Im not holding my breath.
