I helped my buddy find an auto shop here after moving to Colorado Springs. He tried this out because it had some good reviews. Now seeing what this place is about, I dont know where all these reviews come from. Friends and family?? The reviews on other websites such as Yelp do not reflect the reviews that are here. He went in for an oil change and coolant change, and to have an idle issue checked out. They charged him $120 just to LOOK at it. Then, they quoted $300 just to replace the idle air control valve. On top of that, they had the car for 8 hours just to change the oil, coolant, and look at the throttle body. Also the mechanic stated to my friend that "this car isnt worth putting any money into and you should just try to sell it now, because the entire undercarriage is completely rusted out". My buddy has owned the car for a few months, and had it inspected by not one, but TWO mechanics, that said everything checked out A-OK and had paperwork to show for it. This mechanic claiming that his car was completely rusted out did not provide any paperwork or proof of what he was saying. I dont understand if there is some type of prejudice against my friend or my friends car or what??? My buddys driver window regulator was not working when he took it in. The mechanic for some reason decided to jam the window open, and not even put the window back up when he was done. On the day my buddy picked up his car, they said that the window was not working or going down, but they managed to pry it open, but could not put it back up. I told my friend thats not acceptable and he needs to call them back and have them get the window back up since they decided to force it down. When he spoke to the manager, the story changed and he said "The window came down, but it wouldnt work when moving it back up". The window regulator had been out for months, did not work AT ALL, which was explained to him by my friend. The managers response was "well it worked this time". BS! The manager said if my buddy could bring his car in to have the window moved back up but it would cost $300!!!!!! After they are the ones who screwed it up in the first place. Then, the manager quoted him a price to have the regulator fixed. An absurd, ridiculously high price of over $600 without tax!!!!!!!!!! I nor any of the mechanics I spoke to have ever seen a price so high to replace one on my friends Mitsubishi 3000GT SL! There is unwillingness to help here, dishonesty, and extremely high rip-off prices going on here. I strongly advise that you stay away from here and avoid being ripped off.

About two months ago I took in my 2004 Mitsubishi Galant for a check engine light and bumper-to-bumper service. Quite frankly I wanted to see how the car performed for a little while before posting a review. I was greeted immediately with a smile and a request as to how I could be helped. Okay, good start. There were two people working the counter that afternoon and they listened patiently as I described my concerns, and politely offered answers to some tangential questions I asked as well. Never once talking down to me or, conversely, assuming I already know everything about cars. They kept in contact with me, told me additional attention my car could use but never tried to hard sell me on anything. They mentioned my brake pads were looking worn from what they could see without removing them. I actually had thought about this as it has been a few years since I had the brakes serviced. I told them to go ahead and do the brakes; it would be money well spent. Once they got the brakes apart and were able to measure them more accurately they called me to let me know that the service wasnt needed as everything looked good. This was after I had already agreed to the cost and told them I was fine with paying! They could have easily taken my money, but were truthful instead. Honestly I was floored. I am cynical about people at the best of times and this actually shocked me. Well done. When I went to pick up my car (it was ready on time), I was again greeted with a friendly smile and courtesy. My car was absolutely sparkling. Washed, vacuumed, shined up inside; beautiful. Reminds me of service my grandfather used to tell me about. Less than a week later I received a hand written thank-you note for choosing them for my car service needs. Seriously. That was just the icing on a well-served cake. So, check engine light issue corrected, honest service, car behaving beautifully, and I was treated like a human being and valued customer. I will absolutely use these guys for all of my automotive service and repair needs from here on out. Now, if I could get them to service my motorcycles...

The NICEST auto repair company in Colorado Springs! Im not kidding! They really DO live up to their name! Ive been to many auto mechanics here in Colorado Springs, since my car has had some difficult diagnostics and difficult problems to fix, and Ive gotten scammed by several mechanics. I had almost lost my hope in auto mechanics EVER being good human beings, when I found this place. Theyre not just nice and honest, they are BY FAR the most intelligent auto shop Ive ever been to as well. They have successfully diagnosed and fixed problems that no mechanic has been able to fix for 3 years. Honest Accurate Auto pays their workers based on SALARY, not based on comission, i.e. "how many cars a guy can fix that day" or "difficulty of job you did that day", unlike every other auto shop. What does this mean? Every other auto shop Ive ever been to, the mechanics get paid based on the number of jobs they do, or the length and difficulty of jobs they do. Ever wonder why you go in for a simple repair, and end up getting told your car needs $2,000 of work, and you end up spending thousands of dollars? (Its because the guy doing the work gets a %%% of what he does. So OF COURSE hes going to claim things are broken when theyre not, and over charge you. His paycheck is literally based on how much money they can suck out of you.) Honest Accurate Auto pays their employees a standard paycheck, no matter what. :) So their repairs are not driven by need or greed. Their repairs are only based on what they HONESTLY observe your car needs done. They actually even offer a mechanics basics class for women every few months! The staff regularly helps me find the least expensive version of parts for my car too. I know that several times they called all sorts of places for days, trying to find the right parts for my picky car. Basically, I cant rank this place highly enough. The entire staff is filled with actual GOOD human beings!

As a Honest Accurate Auto customer for over 10 years, I have come to expect and appreciate the highest level of professionalism from Randy and his service team. Recently, I took my 2008 Lexus in for a routine oil change. My car is 5 years old and no longer under warranty. However, it has only 40,000 miles. Upon inspection of the car, Randy called and said that one of my struts was leaking.I replaced the struts; a charge of $500.00. When I went to pick up the car, Randy said the struts should not have to be replaced on a low mileage car that has been serviced regularly. He suggested that I contact Lexus and gave me the strut to prove the problem. I contacted the local Lexus dealership and their response was that they could not assist me since I did not have it serviced at an authorized dealership. I contacted Lexus and they asked for documentation about the charges. After review, they agreed with Randy and offered me a $500.00 credit to be used for future servicing from a Lexus dealership. Even though I have a service credit from Lexus, I will continue to depend on Randy for future servicing of our Honda and Lexus vehicles. This proves once again how professional (and Honest & Accurate) Randy and his team are. If he had not encouraged me to pursue this, I would not have been reimbursed from Lexus. This is the kind of service that is almost unheard of in car repair. Randy and his team are outstanding in their knowledge and repair of your car and provide the kind of service that you never have to question. You can be assured you are being treated fairly, honestly and with the highest degree of professionalism.
