Took my CL600 into Salims for suspension issues from pothole damage. Salims repaired the hydraulic suspension and I paid cash as it was below my deductible. They told me it had to go to Jacks Alignment to be aligned. I immediately made an appointment at Jacks and they could not align the car because the back end was "Tacod". It took them about 15 seconds to notice this. I took the car home and called Salims. They said they did not notice the rear end and to bring it back to them. Being busy at the time I garaged the car and when I went to take it back to them the control arm snapped while driving and dropped the whole rear end of the car to the ground. Had the car towed to Salims August 17th. My insurance company "Farmers" is amazing and has approved all repairs. Yet here I sit still to this day (Jan 27th), 5 1/2 months later, with no car and nothing but excuses. They have never called me about anything. Anytime I have spoke to them it has been me calling them. Last time I went there to check on the car, the tires were flat and the passenger door was open. Not unlocked but open. Looked like this $120,000.00 MSRP car was ready to go to the crusher. They are all very nice people but I would rather deal with a jerk that gets the job done than nice people who jerk you around with a smile. Not only has this taken forever but Im out the money for the initial repairs that should have been included in the insurance claim but Salims missed the repairs needed. Will update this review as I find out what happens with my car. Being born and raised here and owning a local family business of my own, I like to support local family run businesses but not at this cost. Update 2/8/16: Once again after calling have gotten to response or call back. Today I called and they said because of the snow they cant get to the car. Our snow storm was a week ago!!!! I said I want a date and they told me if I want a date I should just come get the car. Guess What. Im getting the car. Pathetic!!!!!!! Update 2/18/16 Well Farmers sent a tow truck to get the car and the driver called me before and after. He said (laughing), one of the mechanics told him that they couldnt figure our how to get the car on the lift because the control arm was broken. I guess the tow truck driver told him that "Its Colorado, all I do is tow cars for suspension problems and no other garage has this issue" I laughed and told him he has a $50 gift certificate to my establishment (which he used the next night). It has been a week with a holiday weekend and I already have my car back from Mercedes.

Im not sure why more people arent complaining when I have heard several complaints about the way Gus - main mechanic/owners son chooses to do business. My personal experience has been awful. To make a long story short I was sold a Mercedes ML350 and I asked for an inspection to be done. Within thirty minutes I was given a false inspection report saying my vehicle had passed with flying colors although it was never even inspected - the seller and Gus were "buddies". So of course my vehicle started acting up almost immediately and Gus had it sitting in his lot for weeks before it was even looked at. The inspection alone took two days which is why a thirty minute inspection wasnt even possible. When I got it back the total came out to $250 more than I was quoted the following day and that same day it broke down again. Once again he had it for weeks before getting it back and now once again its acting the same. When I asked if he could look at it he chose to deny me service saying he cant seem to please me although it shouldnt be a personal issue it should be about my car being fixed especially when I payed for it to be done. I called Aspen Auto Clinic to fix my car and it was a minor fix that Gus could never seem to figure out - literally cost me less than $50. The funny thing Gus said the issue Im having must be above him!!! The guys at Aspen mentioned they have many people complaining about him....thats why Im perplexed as to why more people at earning others about him. I also spoke with someone who did they bought a Mercedes from Gus and was over charged thousands of dollars. BE CAREFUL!!

I can honestly say that I have never met a nicer guy than Gus!!! After experiencing a recent accident with my Mercedes... Gus, stepped in and made sure I was well taken care of and happy with my car!!! Its incredibly rare to meet an individual that is this honest and kind to everyone! I can see why he is incredibly busy and the first thing you see when you enter his shop are Thank you cards!! addressed to Gus... This Gentlemans customer service is Five star!!! and makes you feel welcomed and comfortable...Its not easy experiencing an automobile accident, especially with a Mercedes!! Thank you, Gus for being one of the Classiest and Nicest guys out there!!!! You have a customer for life! I am just amazed at your kindness and Class... Thank you so much... Lisa B United Airlines

Sold me a Porsche 993 Targa as "gorgeous, like brand new". When the car arrived, it had only one key, no invoices, no service booklet, no manua! And that for a collectors car! But the following things defects were found: clutch defect (27.000 mls) servo steering defect Air vent defect Targa Roof does not really close (very loud wind sounds) No services ever been made Lots of cables under the carpets (what a piece of handicraft!) Stereo speakers defect car had been repainted by dablers (lots of drops and enclosures)! I had to invest over 10.000 (even without a professional repaint!) just to make the car run! Jed Charles lied to me on the phone and per email everytime I contacted him! This guy cannot be trusted! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS CROOK!

The review is for the lady who picked up the phone.All of my questions were answered with a simple "I don`t know". Her English is not the best, but her attitude is far worse.Rude, impolite,and mostly totally incompetent.Does NOT help the great people who work here and provide excellent service.And definitely not helpful as customer service . Her representation of the company of many is useless and disappointing,- but also devastating for the whole business. After she realized she cannot answer at all, and refused to call anybody for assistance( nobody works today???), she shut me down with an "I`m too busy" phrase, and disconnected. That was terrible. :(( Wouldn`t it be time to find an experienced and professional front desk employee?

Gus and everyone at Salims is incredibly professional, knowledgable, and extremely kind. I was lucky enough to purchase a car from Gus and the car itself was fixed / tuned up to an absolute prime state. Driving this thing was amazing! It has been 3 years since our purchase and every time we need a small tune up, Gus and the team behind Salims is there to help. I know I can trust Salims for all of my Mercedes needs. Love working with a family run business. I actually am heard when it comes to concerns and questions about my car. I will only be working with Salims from here on out!
