BY FAR THE MOST HORRID SERVICE IVE DEALT WITH IN FORT COLLINS. 1. I had two packages that had been stored there. I was missing the post order so then I gave them the information they needed; address, name, phone number, tracking number, what type of package it was, for god sake even an email and what the packages contained. The lady that attended me look disgruntled and very annoyed and said "Sure, Ill try to find it. I need more information." What more information do you need to look up a package thats stored in the warehouse? DNA samples?? About 2 minutes later she came back saying she "couldnt find it and to comeback with the postal order. 2. All the employees that work there (except for two) have very distinct attitudes that display annoyance and disinterest towards the customers. Ive witnessed several occasions besides myself where another person needs help or information about their packages and the employee attending will usually come off as rude and wont bother to take immediate action until the customer asks for a manager. 3. The managers. They are never there. Never. If requesting to speak to a manager about some problem the customer is having the usual answer is "theyre not here at the moment. Theyll be back in x amount of time". This also happens when the employee is presented with a task theyre not sure of. You can tell by the way the employees operate and conduct business that management there is VERY unprofessional. 4. Dont even bother calling this location because theyll never answer. I needed a bit of information about a couple packages that were being delivered and after pressing the 1 of 4 options that they give you it just says to call back again. I called the other location to get information and the lines there are cut off or out of service. So I call the Boardwalk location once more AFTER 1 hour (the one mightve been busy at the time I called) and no answer. Ive worked in customer service my whole life so I know what these employees go through which is why Im patient and understanding when it comes to problems. But this is another level of unprofessionalism at its finest. Like I said above only two employees that work there do their job right. I wish I couldve gotten their names because Id mention them. They smile and get the job done. The other ones though need to be in a different line of work. I give this place (if not all of USPS) a -2. The DMV deserves a 1* review, but thats another story.

Postal staff at this location are incredibly rude. Management are equally so, & will often threaten to call authorities on any customer who even attempts to assertively or politely address their rude demeanor. Every experience Ive had dealing with this location has been a negative one. I had put mail on a hold to pick up at this post office, due to one of their carriers who services my apartment complex who is also incredibly rude, & who constantly delivered my mail several days late or conveniently misplaced things... Upon attempting to pick it up at the post office, I was made to wait from 8 a.m. until well after the lunch hour, while they acted incredibly inconvenienced to get my mail which should have been set aside in advance, attempting to bully me with threats of calling in federal officers if I didnt leave, after asking once every 30 minutes whether or not it was available yet, & then quietly & patiently waiting on a bench in the area near the PO boxes. After waiting for well over 5 hours, I was informed by the postmaster at this location that my mail was already on the carriers truck who ignored the fact that I had placed it on hold, & was out for general delivery. I received the mail I was expecting 3 days late, including my disability check & ended up incurring multiple late fees on rent & bills that month as a result. Despite multiple attempts to report the carriers behavior to her superiors, the postmaster refused to reprimand her, claiming that I was harassing her for my mail. Politely asking a carrier when they arrive if they would be willing to briefly hand me my mail, as Im expecting my check & need to pay bills, after showing them my ID, only to be met with a rude attitude, is not harassing the carrier. After this had occurred over a few occasions attempting to get my mail, I eventually attempted to report her, only to have the above experience occur when attempting to put my mail on hold so that I could pick it up regularly at the Boardwalk branch. Im of the opinion that Federal inspectors need to have some kind of secret customer inquiry into this location & that many of the staff at this location need to be replaced. The Old Town location however, has always had exemplary customer service every time Ive been there, so I can definitely state its the employees & management at the Boardwalk location that are the problem.

My first few interactions with this post office were typical: Long lines, hardly anyone working the counter, staff didnt seem to care how long people were waiting, you know, just like any other post office. And then the Christmas season rolled around and crap hit the fan with them. First, a package got put in a parcel locker and we were given no key. Then we had to wait in line for an hour before even being helped. The lady disappeared several times for several minutes without giving me any information about what she was doing and she even started helping another customer before she had even finished with me. I was being pushed off to the side while she dealt with these other people and while I was waiting to get my situation worked out. Later that evening the post carrier brought the package to our door and was very polite and apologetic. Second, I was expecting a package to be delivered and I received notification that it was not deliverable as addressed. I double, triple, quadruple checked online and the address listed was correct, and I live in a house, and there was no need to sign it. Now my package is being shipped back to where I ordered it from and I am left with empty hands. Dont trust them with packages! Lastly, they do not answer the phone. It just rings and rings and rings and they have it set up so that at 5 minutes a recording says that they are busy and disconnects you. Horrible phone service.

If a parcel, letter or box or any kind comes with even less than a dollar "postage due" on it, this post office will send it across the country to have the sender put all new postage on it (if you dont have exact change when they come to deliver it) People who sell to me on eBay send packages THINKING that the postage is correct, and send those pkgs. in good faith, only to have them returned (even places as far away as the East coast!!) for the want of 25 cents! To me that just adds to the work of the USPS and not one bit efficient. Also, this place has a few notoriously grouchy workers, and usually no more than 3 windows open at a time, so the lines are absolutely HORRIBLE!!! The machines in the front entry hall and lobby are always breaking down and more often than not, refuse to dispense postage stickers that have been paid for by credit card. We were there on April 15th to mail boxes (tax day) and it was an absolute nightmare, since after closing time it was the only way that people could get proof that your taxes were sent in on the 15th was to buy stamps with the time and date stamped on them. My husband ended up buying postage for lots of people because the stamps coming out one at a time would get stuck in the machine but not if you bought a bunch at a time. It was crazy! :o/ We do however LOVE our mail carrier and really appreciate his faithful service!!
