If you have ever watched Zootopia.... this is the DMV in that movie. Sloths are the characters.... I have been the first and only person in line several times... and by the time I got helped there was a line out the door... no joke. The one time I went, the person being helped before me had about 4 packages, and once again not joking... the postal worker did one package at a time and would walk all the way across to put one package in the farthest bin from their window... 4 TIMES. Instead of ringing up all 4 and then taking them all at once.. I got to watch slowmo Postal worker trapes across the whole length of the room. My husband was there earlier this week and was dropping off a prepaid box.. the line was very long, someone complained that it was taking too long and one of the workers just up and left!! So then there was only one window open and my husband had to drive to Frederick to drop off the package. Frederick is great, it is worth driving there to do business. Also, I live out in Firestone and when our carrier decides he doesnt want to leave a package, we have to drive all the way to This dreadful place to pick it up, which means losing half of my day, when I pay postage just like everyone else to have my stuff delivered to my house... DONT come here ever if you can help it. And getting them on the phone almost never happens.

Going to this post office is painful. I have to plan for it. I have to plan to be in line for 20- 40 minutes. Im a very patient person. I bring a book. But I do have to get childcare for the morning. I DONT DARE bring my children to this place. It is a very long wait.My entire day revolves around going to the post office. I dont like that part. If you go to the post office you MUST plan to be there for a long time. There is often one person working the entire front desk for ALL of Longmont. Its usually a guy name Art who is the most calmest guy for such a stressful job. I NEVER give him a hard time. I cant even imagine how stressful his day is.My mail delivery is fabulous. The postal carrier has become friends with my family. I love that Norman Rockwell feeling about joking with the mail man. The mail is always on time everyday. I do get uncomfortable there. People are impatient. They get angry and enraged. Sometimes I do worry about my safety when people get so enraged from the poor service. Another reason not to bring your children.

People working here are incompetent in their jobs and lack any form of customer service. They lose certified mail! The tracking information claimed that the postman attempted to deliver the certified mail at a specific time and there was no eligible recipient. I, the one who was on the address label, was home that night and we received no indication anyone attempted delivery. There was no receipt indicating the postman even stopped by. They then lost my certified mail and it magically reappeared in Denver 4 days later. Customer service over the phone was pathetic in any way of attempting to help since no one has any control over the pathetic excuse of a government operation being run there. Im 90% sure that the call center I complained to was located in another country. Do not do any business with the Longmont Post Office. The employees do not care about your issues and will not go out of their way, to help resolve conflicts. Pay the extra money to deal with FedEx or UPS.

I have been in this post office several times and have never noticed a wait period that was so excessive I had to "plan my day around it", as another reviewer wrote. Is there a line? Sure, of course there is and the length varies depending on what time/day you go… like anyplace else. I can honestly say I have never waited more then 30 minutes personally. I have shipped and received 100’s of packages since I have lived in Longmont (7 Years) and out of ALL of those packages they have misplaced only one. When I called to inquire about said package, I had a courteous answer within 15 minutes over the phone (I would like to add here that you catch more bees with honey, so a little courtesy on your part will go a long way with any service complaint, and that goes for anyplace). It is unfortunate that people rarely write a review about decent, normal service… and choose only to focus on one or two negative experiences when telling the world about a particular service provider.

I am giving 5 stars specifically to the kind woman doing passports on Tuesday this week. She got my sons passport application and photo done quickly and with a smile. When I came back to the post office later in a panic because I realized I needed the passport expedited, she quickly took care of that for me (again with a smile and good cheer). ON THE OTHER HAND... I had to drive back to the post office in order to talk to a human being because I was unable to navigate my way to a phone number for the Coffman location and actually speak to a person to find out if I could come back and get the passport expedited. It would also be EXTRAORDINARILY HELPFUL if, both on the web site and in the post office, there was an obvious phone number leading directly to the passport department, as well as a prominent notation that they only accept checks (no cards) as payment.

I was sitting on my couch not even 15 minutes ago, when I heard a loud thunk outside my window. I looked out, only to find the delivery man walking away from my front gate, with my package, on my side of the gate, crumpled, on the ground. He literally TOSSED it over the gate! Needless to say, I wasnt surprised when I found my package to have a huge tear in it. I get it if youre having a bad day, man, but really? Its not okay to half-a** your job. You think a barista is going to toss you your drink if saves them time? You think a nurse is gonna toss a needle at your arm, like its a game of darts, because it will save them time? No, and no. You shouldnt toss your customers products either, even if it saves you time. This was in the Meadowview neighborhood if any USPS supervisors reads this.

Im sure its no surpise if youve read the others. This is actually the worst place Ive ever been to in terms of customer service, wait times, and just everything really. There is one nice, competent lady that works there. At the very best the other few that waddle up to the counter are rude, slow, and of just passing functional intelligence. I can only assume the Postmaster at this station doesnt even begin to understand or care one bit about basic concepts of; dignity, self-respect, and societal institutions whatsoever. Only a person completely void of any kind of pride would allow a grand U.S. institution as the USPS to be such an affront to all aspects of working hard, respect, and taking pride in your job. A genuine shame to experience should you ever have to stand in line, even once.
