and like any chain.... you will have better experiences in some versus others. Wal-Mart is also a very large business with a lot of employees.... so a rude experience with one associate does not make them all rude. I shop at the Wal-Mart near me because it s clean, efficient, and less expensive. As far as the optometrist goes, the one in the Wal-Mart probably cost the same as the one across the street because they are equally qualified. The guy across the street is probably no more of a "specialist". The spaces in the front of the store are all leased spaces. The optometrist is not a Wal-Mart employee, he/she leases the space. The only difference between him/her and the guy across the street is location....and the one in the Wal-Mart has a good one with a lot of traffic. The difference probably comes in when people go to purchase glasses or contacts. That part is run by Wal-Mart (albeit a special division) and could offer more savings. Just sayin... ;)

Worst Customer Service EVER!!! I wish I could do 0 stars they do not even deserve 1 star. Every single employee had a different answer, and every answer was wrong! We bought tires there less than three months ago. One tire blew out so we went to have it replaced. The guys there tried to tell me that they could not replace just one, that I had to pay to have TWO tires replaced due to "safety and "policy". Not only that, but they tried to tell me that I was going to have to pay for my replacement tires, rotation, and alignment even though we purchased the tire insurance when we bought the original tires. I had to go all the way to the manager to get this settled, and all I got from anyone was excuses! We will never use Walmart Tire Center again. Very disappointed!

2-stars because I did, after all, get the information I was looking for. Recent phone call to the Tire and Lube department: Wal-Mart Associate: "Automotive" Me: "Hi, I was calling to see what your hours are" Wal-Mart Associate: "Nine to Six" Me: "Okay, is that the same for tomorrow as well?" Wal-Mart Associate: "Uh-huh" Me: "Okay great, thanks and have a good night" Wal-Mart Associate: "Uh-huh" Me: "Bye" Wal-Mart Associate: "Uh-huh!" This is no exaggeration. I know not all employees are rude, and quite frankly this might be the extent of her vocabulary, but it really didnt give me much motive to use their services. I guess you get what you pay for, or in this case, what I would have paid for.

I brought my car in to get a new battery and rotate my tires. I was quoted 2 hours until the car will be ready. After 3 hours of waiting I was told that it will take another hour. Four hours for rotating my tires and replacing a battery??? another gentlemen before me was quoted 1.5 hours but was here for four hours as well. the gentlewoman at the front offered no apologies and just shrugged his shoulders.

Dennis the service manager was very friendly. We purchased a new car battery and were replacing it ourselves, but faced some difficulty removing the old battery. Dennis took the time to help us with it and install the new battery. We really appreciate his willingness to help us, even though we werent receiving any services from their department.

Oil change was fine, but was not happy with the check in process. It was literally starting to hail, and the bays were empty. I asked George to let me pull my car in to avoid having hail damage. Instead, I was told to wait. It doesnt seem to me that George likes his job and doesnt put the customer first.
