Davis Repair is a first class business that has always provided excellent customer service, high quality maintenance, inspection, and repair work with detailed explanations at reasonable prices. I have always received detailed breakdowns for recommended work and ratings of severity or urgency with expected timelines without ever feeling pressured to pay for costly repairs before they are necessary. The information provided and itemized pricing allows me to thoroughly research the diagnosed issues and the summary description of what to recognize indicating when a potential problem may have turned into a current one gives me confidence when driving my vehicle. Plus, when I have questioned repairs performed, Davis reviewed the work to confirm the quality and completion without hesitation or arrogant derision, standing behind their work and ASE credentials. When purchasing used cars, the pre-sale inspections are thorough and reasonable and helped me immensely in making informed decisions while avoiding future costly repairs. Hannah was always willing to answer questions, offer advice, and the information provided about various makes ands models vitally assisted me. Davis has earned my trust and there is no other place I would go for automotive service or advice about automotive work, a customer for life.

Ive never had an automotive experience I have been so happy to write a review about. My Xterra lost a wheel hub assembly three days before Christmas. I thought my planned weekend of snowboarding was going to be busted. I did a quick search on Google for automotive shops in my area and sure enough, Davis Repair popped up (with a 4.4-star rating none-the-less). I knew it was a long shot, but I arrived at 7:30 am (time they open) the Friday before Christmas and asked them to take a look. In less than an hour, Hannah had a diagnosis and a cost estimate for me. Not sure if the price was right or not, but that wasnt the deciding factor. I was pleasantly surprised when Hannah told me they had the parts and could have it done by noon. Furthermore, they provided me a ride back to my apartment and when I arrived to pick my vehicle up, it had been detailed. What place washes your car? Davis Repair does! They literally saved my Christmas and I am so very grateful. You can bet that I will now be a customer for life. Recommendations dont come easily from me, but do yourself a favor and make Davis Repair your go-to automotive repair place. You wont be sorry. Thanks again to all the staff at Davis Repair. Happy New Year and best wishes in 2017!

After spending a great deal of my own time (and that of my mechanic friends in the neighborhood) trying to diagnose my non-starting engine problem, Ken at Davis fixed it by simply replacing the cap and rotor (which I could have and should have done myself). I was surprised that was all it was, since I had replaced the cap and rotor just 16,000 miles ago, and I tested all the spark plugs and they were all firing. Apparently there was some kind of electrical leak down through a carbon trail in the rotor. Even though it cost $240 for Ken to figure it out and fix it, Ken had to spend time eliminating other possible sources for the problem. It was great news that it wasnt something more serious and really expensive, as I had feared. With a 1990 GMC van with 263,000 miles on it, its hard to justify putting too much money into it. Now, instead of hauling it off to the crusher like I was considering, I have an operational van that I can use for some utility projects coming up. This is the second time Ken has bailed me out with his great diagnostic skills. For the next problem in the future, Im sure Ill try to figure it out myself, but Id like to think Id bring it to Ken a little sooner, before I get quite so deep down the rabbit hole!

In July 2015, I took my Prius for a "maintenance due" light, Larry had someone review and reset it for me - no charge and just very helpful. That set a tone of trust for my future business. He was helpful and honest - - it just doesnt get much better! In August 2015, I purchased a used Jeep and had them do a vehicle inspection - they also took me and picked me back up from a local coffee shop while the work was being performed. I bought my Jeep and it has been great! Had they told me no, I would have taken it back to dealership. A few days later, they changed the oil and gave me tips on consideration for future maintenance. Last week, I took the Prius in for an oil change - it was done in less than 30 minutes and the service was excellent! Schedule an appointment. Both Hannah and Katie are at the front desk, always helpful and very pleasant. It is refreshing to do business with a family-owned business - they are just awesome! I realize we all fear bad encounters with our car maintenance, but if you want honest, friendly, family-owned and extremely knowledgeable professionals - - - go to Davis Repair, they are a welcomed relief.

My car had been diagnosed with some issues at the dealership, and the cost to fix was around $2000. The dealership said I needed to do the repairs immediately. Since its a fairly low-mileage, "good" car (Infiniti G35X with 65,000 miles), I wanted to take the car somewhere besides the dealership to see what they thought. Additionally, one cold morning, the car had trouble starting, so I brought it to Davis that day. They fit me into their schedule right before Xmas and were very friendly about it. After looking at car, they told me the car simply needed a battery for the time being, and the other repairs I could wait on for several more months. They explained I was not in any immediate danger, and they offered to try and find the parts at a cheaper rate if possible. They even told me that I had a light out in the back, but it was not a light that you can get ticketed for and cost $600 to repair, so they would recommend I just leave it as is unless I really wanted to fix it. I received a call about a week later asking if I had any questions or concerns. Great customer service and they they seemed more honest than the dealership.

I normally dont write reviews, but this experience warrants one. I own a 1999 BMW and I noticed some loud grinding noises coming from under the left rear tire. I knew it would be a costly repair given the sound it was making. I drove it to this shop and they said it might be a few days before they could look at it. They gave me a free rental car (didnt even have to pay for gas) while my car was in the shop (3 days total). They called me before they made any serious repairs to get my approval. They were very professional and honest with the quote they gave me. Unlike other automotive repair shops who try to sell you on things that dont need fixing, they simply said that there was only one major repair that needed to be fixed at the time and a few minor things that they could eventually fix if I wanted them too. The cost of the repair was actually a few hundred dollars less than I was expecting which is always a nice surprise! So far the sound is gone, my car runs smooth, and I couldnt have asked for a better experience!
