This has been our go to place for quite some time now. It seems almost impossible to find a mechanic as we always have to be on our toes making sure we arent getting cheated, especially as a woman. This is the only place I have gone to that I completely trust. They tell you everything up front and only do whats necessary on your vehicle. They also offer the cheapest prices than anywhere else! They worked on my Audi A4 a few times. I only go to them for oil changes and routinely maintenance. My check engine light was on and Auto Zone said I would fail an emissions test if I didnt get it fixed. I thought it would cost me an arm and a leg to find the leak in the hose but they charged me about $34 for the part and labor, and waived the fee for the smoke test! Any other place would have told me I needed more done-a new hose, etc..to get it fixed and raise costs. I know Rob and his crew will take care of me! They are all so down to earth and truly care about helping the little guy out. You can even call them to talk about whats wrong with your car and they will give you their ideas! My boyfriend recently bought a 95 ford ranger. Ended up having quite a few problems. They helped us out by telling us what we needed to get done first for safety, and what things can wait so we could break up costs by importance. They went out of their way to find a part on his truck that is hard to find. Take your vehicle here! We are moving out of state next month and am dreading the next search for a trustworthy mechanic. The owner told us we can still call with issues we have and hell help us try to figure it out. You dont find that every day! Go here, you wont regret it.

Terrible; Im new to town and it was close, so I made the mistake of taking my VW van there after it stalled and I couldnt get it started. After agreeing to fix the fuel pump for $600, it took them a week longer than their quote to fix the thing. When it was done, the mechanic called me and told me they had discovered additional pressing issues with the integrity of the vehicle and that it wouldnt be roadworthy without another $600 worth of work. Already being in halfway, I went for it, hoping to get another good year at least from the van. When I went in to fetch it, the mechanic (Dominic, i think) scoffed that Id be lucky to give the thing away! Well then why did you just dupe me into spending $1200?!?! Another slimy, greedy, profits-over-people business. In an unrelated incident, a friend of mine took his Mercedes sedan there for a diagnostic, which they advertised as a $75 flat rate. After again having the vehicle a week longer than they promised, they told him they couldnt figure it out without spending additional time and labor on it, for which they would have to further charge him. He agreed, and was billed almost $200 for them to tell him it was an irreparable wiring issue -- which he came to find out was completely wrong!! He took it to a Mercedes specialist who fixed it for about what 6th Avenue Scumbags charged for the initial failed diagnostic testing. The last place I will ever do business with; do yourself a favor and keep looking.

Long story short, I needed a pretty big repair done on my vehicle. Everyone at 6th Ave. have been nothing short of amazing. From taking the time to truly look and diagnose what the real problem was, to keeping me updated with calls the whole way. They got my car in and fixed in an incredibly reasonable time frame, when other "mechanic" shops in town told me they couldnt figure it out. Everyone I interacted with couldnt have been more helpful, and understanding of my needs, all while making it as pleasant as it could be. (We all hate dealing with car repairs) Most of all, they never once treated me differently or made me feel inferior because Im a woman as previous experiences with other places had. My daughter even said we have to bring them a piece of pizza to thank them! :) Thank you SO much 6th Ave! I will be telling everyone I know, and even people I dont know, that they need to do business with these guys...you know, just if they want trustworthy, reliable work done on their vehicles. Youve gained a customer for life guys! Thanks again.

Trust is priceless, and these guys earned it. Took my jeep to them for routine maintenance, including a transmission fluid change. Got it back and it was shifting poorly and making some odd noise. I looked at the invoice and noticed they had charged me for an older type of transmission fluid. My jeep has the new 8-speed tranny that requires a somewhat uncommon new fluid type. I called and left them a message after close - with the fear that they would probably deny any mistake and leave me with a broken transmission. To my great relief Robert called the next morning and fully admitted the mistake and promised to take care of it even if they had to buy a brand new transmission. And they made good on that promise. They paid 100% of the cost of a rental car while they flushed the fluid out four times and returned it to perfect working order. The experience was certainly stressful and inconvenient, but as Robert likes to point out - everyone makes mistakes - its how you handle them that counts.

I have tried a number of other locations for service on our Audis but none is as reputable as Sixth Avenue Auto Service. The owner Robert, and their primary technician Dominic, are outstanding. I have been using them for a number of years for service on multiple early edition Allroads and an A7. Major items that they have taking care of: Clutch replacement, electronic diagnostics and repair, air suspension (front / rear and compressor,) timing belt replacement, brakes (front / rear), cooling fan blade replacement, motor mounts, front suspension (upper / lower control arms), just to name a few. You would think I was putting their kids through school however; their rates and hours are very competitive. Of all the work I have had done - none of it was based on a Sixth Avenue Auto Service warranty or defective workmanship. I love my cars and these guys love to work on them to keep them safe, reliable, and within a budget. Huge fan! Thanks Guys. jpl

I moved to Denver last August, and my mechanic was a family friend that was always very good to me. I was worried about finding a mechanic I could trust in another state, as mechanics without personal ties have attempted to dupe me many times before. This was not the case for Robert and his team. They were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and upfront about price and timing of repairs. I brought my 05 Honda CR-V to them back in November for some transmission problems. They gave me my options and were honest about possible outcomes. I appreciated the transparency, as that seems to be rare with a lot of mechanic shops. I now have a new car and will without a doubt be bringing it to them for anything and everything; oil changes, basic maintenance, big repairs. I trust them wholeheartedly and believe that the business they earn is well deserved. 5++++ stars.
