I took my Subaru Outback here because the sixth cylinder was misfiring. When I called, they asked how many miles are on the car, and seemed skeptical when I told them that it was a high mileage car, which is pretty normal. They said they would look at it, and call us the next day. At 3:30 pm the next day, we called them and they hadnt looked at it yet. Again, not my complaint, I understand being busy, and I understand the nature of the industry. They called back 45 minutes later, and told us that we had a cracked head gasket and that our third cylinder was also misfiring, and that there wasnt any coolant in our car. He said that he filled the coolant, but the car wasnt worth fixing and needed a new engine. A gasket could lead to a misfire, and it could lead to a second cylinder misfiring if the two cylinders are next to each other. The problem is, that these two cylinders on the engine in my car are not next to each other. We came to pick up the car, and talked to the guy. It was clear that he did not actually diagnose the engine, but simply saw low coolant and assumed with the high mileage that the gasket was cracked. I decided to get a second opinion, and it turns out it was not a gasket at all. This repair shop clearly didnt perform any chemical tests to check for a gasket, because when we took the car somewhere else, they did extensive testing and found no evidence of a head gasket crack. The only good part about this shop is that they did not charge us for their terrible diagnosis. The guy talked to me like I know nothing, and didnt even take time to have a long enough conversation with us, because he was trying to leave. He was a nice guy, but do not take your subaru there, unless you want to pay for a new engine that you do not need. I will never go back here, do NOT recommend it, and am appalled at the lack of service and the wrong diagnosis that he made based on a guess. The coolant was low because the radiator needed to be replaced. From the other reviews, it seems like EVERYONE needs a head gasket! How can you diagnose a head gasket on a busy day in less than 45 minutes? These guys are frauds. Listen to the bad reviews, because they are all from people that know things about cars. My dad has worked in the industry for 35+ years.

Bought a car from them July 2010 when I took my Forrester to them knowing it had thrown a rod. They kindly offered you sell me another car and discount it if I signed the title of my Forrester over to them. As a single mom in the middle of a divorce with little to no money, my options were limited. The car they sold me looked good on paper; low milage, lots of options, etc. Seemed to be in good condition. I mean, its a Subaru, right?? These guys are Subaru mechanics so it looked like a great combination. I got a co-signer and the loan was close to $9000 when all was said and done. Fine, no problem. Heres where things go south. Had problems consistently with the a/c. Took it, back into them 3 times and the problem would seem to be taken care of for a couple of weeks and then stop working again. I asked if any hoses needed to be replaced and they insisted they checked everything thouroughly. At this point I thankfully had a man in my life who had real knowledge regarding cars. When he began looking under the hood he discovered that this car was a junk yard Frankenstein. It burns oil horribly which indicates that the engine has more miles than the car itself. The mileage this car gets is pittiful... 18-19 miles to the gallon on the highway. The drivers side window needs adjusting and we have had to replace the bearing on the front passenger side. I would NOT trust these guys for repairs or sales. I am so upside down in this that I am stuck, cant sell to pay this p.o.s. off and get something else. Pleeeease learn from my experience. These guys just want your money.

These 2 brothers have saved me from worry numerous times on my old subie . No one in town has ever given me as superb- right the 1st time diagnoses, lowest prices and loaner to boot.I have mentioned them to others and apparently these 2 brothers are known all over the metro area as the best subie mechanics in the front range and yet they are also really nice, incredible customer service..They are polite, have driven me to work, put in bulbs and topped off my fluids without even taking a penny when I wanted them to, show me the used parts and always do the right thing with a smile. I have had my subie towed there from across the metro area b/c I learned over time that they are always the best- they know subies so well when others have misdiagnosed or named a price, I ended up there anyway and happy.I have a lifetime of owning old cars and have never found any mechanics as good on any car I have owned. If you get a subaru repair quote elsewhere, better call them too esp on big or complicated jobs subie jobs: timing belts, head gaskets, trans, etc.fyi:the car sales lot is not the 2 brothers, so any sales comments are not about the actual repair shop.

I dropped my Subaru off here for a diagnostic for a very loud clunking in my suspension. It was loud enough that I would deem the car unsafe to drive. A day after I dropped it off they call back saying my car is fine they cant find anything wrong with it. He asks me a few more questions and decides its the tie rod ends which he quotes me $500 for both sides. Im not down to gamble $500 if this dude cant even hear the clunk so I ask him to let me think about it. I go in the next day to pick up my car and do the work myself, and its up on the lifts with a dismantled car beneath it. I tell the man I want my car and he immediately gives me attitude saying its not his problem and I should have called. I said it is his problem, to which he YELLED at me to leave his property. I have just called the police for theft and am awaiting their arrival to get my car back. Nuff said.

Bought a car here for a good price. Come to find out later that they purchased it at a salvage auction and repaired it themselves. The repair work they did was awful as they did not follow factory guide lines. Caliber collision refused to work on the car because they did not want to be liable for the cars previous work that Subie Auto Repairs did. I have all the paperwork to prove what happened. They ripped me off even though they knew I was a single teen dad who goes to college and works part time. I couldnt afford being ripped off like that. This car is putting me in major debt as I cannot drive it until the work Subie Auto Repairs did is fixed. 15k dollars worth of fixing. None of this was disclosed at the time of purchase. Not cool and super unethical. Very disappointed.
