Update! Meineke asked me to email them and they havent responded yet. Its been a month and Ive heard nothing. DO NOT GO HERE! ----- I booked and appointment online to have my window motor replaced and drop it off so my wife could have her car once the business day was over. I gave my wife instructions on what part the car took, as well as uploaded what I needed to be done to their online client for booking appointments. This is all I needed. The mechanic called me back and told me they ran a diagnostic that told them the same thing, but that the diagnostic alone was going to cost me $95. The price they gave me was $427 for labor and parts. I called Big-O tires on Federal and Evans (whom have been great to us before) and they said they would do the job for $250 with labor and parts. When I asked if Meineke could match the price, they told me they could not because they offer a warrantee and "superior service". I had to pay the "diagnostic fee" which told me nothing (I know thats what it needed because I had tried to do it the day before but couldnt get the part on July 4th) because I already knew what the problem was, and definitely feel like they took advantage of me there. Big-O trusted me immediately, and guess what, the car works like its supposed to and they didnt charge me a diagnostic fee that I did not need. My final frustration is this. The mechanic I spoke to on the phone said they only use "top parts" and "extended warrantee" on the service. I include a picture of my receipt for the "diagnostic fee" and you can see it says "remanufactured window motor". Big O bought a motor brand new (generic - because who cares about a brand name window motor?) from an auto parts store for $120, and the mechanic told me that the motor they "had to use" was $250. So Meineke will buy used-restored parts, charge you twice the price its worth, and then tell you its the "best" part. I will not go here, reccomend anyone in my church or neighborhood. Big O has been cheaper for everything, has better google feedback, and great customer service where they dont charge you for things you already know. What a rip off, making something inconvenient more inconvenient and milking you for your money.

NOT HAPPY! As a single woman it is difficult to trust any car repair people. I got a coupon in the mail for what I needed done. I went in last Saturday and they were too busy the guy handed me his card and said make an appointment Ill get you right in. So I called on Friday, told I did not need an appointment. I took the car and the coupon in and expained to the guy at the desk that I was on a budet and this is all I could do today. I was told and hour and a half for and alignment and oil change. I got a call while I was wandering around waiting, that I needed and oil filter and brakes and was quoted $125 more than I agreed to spend. 2 hours later the car was still up on the rack. I paid the bill got in the catr to drive away and it was HOWLING. I backed up and said to the goon in the shop that the car was not making this noise when I brought it in. He yelled at me from across the shop "What can I tell you? You need brakes". I reiterated that the car was not making the noise before. He said "well its gonna happen when you use the brakes". I told him it was making the howl while I was on the gas! He ran into the shop to get the desk guy for whom I demonstrated this problem. Another nice tech named AJ came and said hee look at it. He put it back on the rack and showed me that the "indicator pin" was touching the metal and that it must have gotten bent accidentally while working on the alignment. He bent it back and all was fine. I asked them to reset the check engine light, and check the air in the front tires, which they didnt do. I dont know, but I feel like it was a set up. And I am not at all happy with the attitudes I got from them. Except for AJ, he was very kind. Not going back EVER! Coupon or not!

Displeased- I hope you find this review to be objective. The AC in my Honda Accord stopped blowing cold in the summer of 2012, so I took it here and they were unable to find a problem, so Meineke recharged my refrigerant for $100 and the system worked fine.....but not for long. When I experienced the same problem a week later, they said they found a faulty hose, which I then had them replace and recharge the system again for an additional $300. I expressed my frustration at the fact that the leak should have been discovered the first time, since it was a big enough leak to lose almost all of the refrigerant in a week. The AC stopped blowing cold again in June 2013 and I took it in again, with the hope that they would acknowledge the fact that refrigerant should last the life of the vehicle and they clearly did not properly diagnose the problem either the first or second time around. This time they said the condenser must have a small hole, and to replace it would be another $400 for parts and labor. That after about 5 minutes with the car. I decided to get a second opinion from Sears Auto, who charged the system and said that they tested it twice and no leaks were detected. They said I likely had a pinhole leak or a deteriorated seal somewhere, but it was impossible to diagnose that quickly, and if after a week no leaks were detected, the dye added to the refrigerant may in fact seal a pinhole leak. All this for no initial charge. Based on Meinekes haste to replace parts and failure to properly or completely diagnose the problems with my vehicle, I will not be returning for future service. I hope you find this helpful.

I took my Lexus in for an oil change and they gave it back to me with oil on the steering wheel, key, center console, and door panel. I cleaned it all off and called and reported it to them. They did the right thing and offered me a free oil change, which I took them up on taking my wifes Lexus. I cautioned them about the oil problem from last time and asked them to be careful with this one as I didnt want to give it back to my wife with a similar lack of care. When I left this time I started getting smoke smells through the vents. I stopped and looked under the hood and I had smoke coming up and drips on the ground. I called and took it back. The manager came out and sprayed brake cleaner on the plastic shield under the engine and said that when the oil filter is removed, it dumps out on the shield and cant be helped. I was amazed! Lexus cant get an oil change without smoke coming out of the vents! I calmly told him that the Lexus dealer can do it without the problem his shop has, and he coldly told me to "take it to the Lexus dealer then" and walked off slamming the door of the bay down. I brought it to the owners attention and he said that Id hear back from him. I never did. I dont think they are competent enough to even change oil, nor can they interact with their customers in a professional manner. I wouldnt recommend using them even though they have low prices. It isnt worth it in the end. Want smoke coming out your heater vents?
