Id been looking for a new shop to do more of the heavy work on my vehicles. I have built several cars and motorcycles over the years and feel quite at home doing regular maintenance and some repairs on my vehicles. I know my limitations though and like to have a quality mechanic "in my pocket" for those times. Ive lived in Littleton for almost 32 years and in the area of this shop for almost 15, I read the reviews and felt this could be the winner. However I was mistaken and I will not be back. I have a 2000 Ford Excursion and one look and you can tell it is not stock and I have done most of the work to it. I have only had the vehicle for 3 months but have all the service records from the previous owner. I took it to Eagle for a simple oil change to feel them out and see if they were a shop I could trust. Upon picking up my vehicle I was told that there were some service issues that the mechanic found. This was not a surprise as I know there are a few things I still need to get to. I was surprised to hear that my cooling system should be flushed because not 3 weeks earlier I had replaced the water pump and replaced the coolant entirely. I was also told that my transmission fluid should be replaced which was also news to me as the transmission had a complete rebuild less that 15,000 miles ago. There were other items but I think Ive made my point. I brought my vehicle home almost two weeks ago and have since noticed drips in my driveway. This should not be shocking, sometimes there are a few drips after an oil change. However I moved it to a clean spot in the driveway 3 days ago and it is still dripping. My Excursion is older and does have almost 200,000 miles on it but it is not a leaker. I rolled under to have a look and the drip is coming from my oil drain plug. The plug is clearly a new plug and the oil is not coming from around the pan but from the plug. I also noticed my oil filter has oil trails down the sides. The filter is not actively leaking but seeing this does raise questions about the quality and pace of work. Given the suggestions of things needing service, oil drips from the drain plug, and the oil that has run down the side of the filter I wont be returning to Eagle Automotive. If I cant be satisfied with a simple oil change then Im not going to trust a shop when I need something serious taken care of.

Eagle Automotive as a great service company. Honest, efficient and knowledgeable. A friend recommended Eagle and was very impressed with their quality of work. As my car is getting a little older it was needing a little more comprehensive maintanence than usual. Knowing some work needed to be done, I took it to Eagle and they quickly were able to diagnose and assess the level of maintanence required to fix the problems and ansure my car was safe to drive. They took the time to explain in detail the amount of work that needed to be done, why, how and the time and cost I would need to expect. They were so wonderful in ensuring my car would be repaired with expert standards and with the least amount of inconvience to me as possible. They did all the repairs and also offered a parts and labor waranty. My car was returned to me and was running and sounding better than it ever had, not even brand new has it run this great. Their attention to detail and pride in their work has proved to be more than I ever expected. I never thought an offer for waranty on auto work would be something that I could benefit from and also knowing not all auto services provide such a benefit I didnt think I would come across the opportunity to have it. Eagles ability to offer the waranty saved me. As I was driving my newly fixed car with such confidence, unfortuately one of the new parts failed (manufacturing defect). I called Eagle to explain my problem and they offered to cover expence of tow if it was an issue with work still under waranty and got me in the same day. So very reassuring with the whole situation. The next day my car was fixed. I was in shock it was done so quickly. I was told that "waranty customers come first". My car is running great now and I could not be more satisfied with the service and quality of work I received at Eagle. They are very thorough and competitively priced. I felt like a special customer, not just one on the list for the day. I highly recommend and trust Eagle Automotive and will continue having this car and any future car serviced here.

I have mixed feelings about Eagle. The first time I went in, I had an issue passing emissions with my old Wrangler. I would have never found the problem and they got it figured out in a matter of hours. Several months later a salesman came to my door selling a package of oil changes. He quoted me about $80 for 6 changes which I thought was far cheaper than I could do my own... Well shame on me for not reading the fine print about synthetic oil not being covered... Felt slightly misled but I gave the benefit of the doubt to Eagle on that one. I ended up using all of the vouchers, and I was a bit relieved when I was done. Every change, I dropped off the car first thing in the morning, and it was usually at least a few hours before the car was ready... Too long for an oil change in my opinion. A Jiffy Lube will take 20-30 minutes, and same if I do it myself. Once after a change I noticed something leaking under the car in my driveway... Looked underneath and felt the oil drain plug where there was visible oil droplets. Damn thing wasnt even hand tight. I felt lucky it didnt fall out on the highway and empty the resevoir! I sent a complaint on that and got an apology. Another annoyance was having to actually request with each oil change to have them rotate the tires. It was an included service with the changes and I thought it was just a given that you rotate tires on every oil change, at least thats what dad taught me. If I forgot to request it, Id get the "oh you actually wanted us to do that?" response. Lastly I thought the attitude of the employees always seemed a little lukewarm, like I was causing an inconvenience by bringing my vehicle in. My wife thought the same thing when she brought in our car once. They were even a little bit rude to her. In summary, I think they are average. Some better attention to detail, and caring about the small stuff goes a long way in my book. Im back to changing my own oil now, and letting the dealer handle the major milestone servicing.

I had a 2000 Escort. While driving the serpentine belt snapped. The belt was replaced but the car wouldnt start. I had the car towed to the shop. They said before they did any work on it they wanted to do a pressure test to see if the heads were ok. If the heads were no good it would cost more than the worth of the car. It was about $275 for the test. I was told 4 of 6 heads were damaged. Then they said the owner was looking for an Escort and they would take my car off my hands for the cost of the test. I declined knowing a dealership that would give me $1000 to trade it in. Feeling like these guys were taking advantage of me because Im a girl I sent my husband in to pick up the car. While waiting for the keys he saw a woman crying on the phone to her husband about the bad news she had just gotten and another man shouting at the counter that he was getting ripped off. I ended up finding another vehicle form a private owner. When trying to sell my car I discovered they never put back together the parts they took apart for the test. I lost many lookers just from that. Running the car was worth $2,200, but since it was not I tried for $1000. After 3 months of people looking I finally found a retired mechanic. I got $600 for it. He contacted me later hat I left CDs in the player . While talking he said I think you should know the heads were fine. I needed a new battery. So the short story is they lied so they could pay $275 for a $2,200 car that needed a battery and I only got $600 for trusting their word.
