I will start by giving credit where due: Ed seems to be a very nice guy, we can all agree on that, and he also was really good about providing me with a loaner car, and he even worked with me on the billing, and actually gave me a decent deal on what they provided. But heres where they fell short -- in my opinion -- and that is Quality Diagnostics, and follow-through on repairs. I took my 02 Audi A4 in about a month ago; they diagnosed a bad fuel injector. Ed called and suggested they might have to replace all four injectors, which was fine with me, it makes sense, the car is old, lots of miles, lets do it. I also asked him to check my fuel pump, since it had been quite noisy for the past few weeks. A few hours later, Ed called back with good news: He said they checked all the injectors, and as it turned out, only one really needed to be replaced, and they also checked the fuel pump, and it was fine ... good to go. I went in, paid a bill of about $500, but about a mile down the road, the car died, and it felt a lot like a dead fuel pump. So, Ed sent a tech to meet me, he gave me a loaner, and somehow got my car back to the shop. A day or two later, Ed called, confirmed that it was in fact, a bad fuel pump, and another $500 or so should do the trick. Fair enough, we did the fuel pump, he cut me a fair deal, and I was on my way. When I picked up the car the second time, I asked Ed if he had looked at the car himself, or driven it at all. He said he had not. That was a month ago. Last night, I lost another injector, which is less than shocking. Of course, now I am really wishing we had just done the job right the first time, by replacing all four injectors. As I said, good guys, decent shop -- but in my case -- they could have done a much better job with diagnostics and follow up. Obviously, their initial diagnostics on my fuel pump was dead wrong, and now, as it turns out, their diagnostics and advice on my injectors was also off the mark -- lesson learned -- dont just replace one injector, better to just do them all.

PLEASE READ!!! I know this place is a very reputable german car shop, specialists but i got screwed here and John Waldron the owner here whom was taking care of my car and service did not want to refund it at the end i got screwed $366! Took my 02 bmw 330 in to get the heater fixed. diagnosis was heater valve and coolant system flush. I authorized the job and then i was told the heater works and its operating, the vehicle is ready to pick up. The invoice also said the work performed fixed the issue and the heater was now operating. This was all FALSE! when i arrived the heater never worked, still doesnt and i left the car there for them to see why it didnt work after it was supposedly fixed... I know this sounds too biased and straight forward but this is exactly what happened. Ultimately it ended up being a deeper issue and the $366 i paid for the initial job was not refunded back even though i never had heat/heater, when they supposedly did the issue. Its sad because again theyre a reputable shop and they caused all this for $366! Im now in a dispute with them... Dont go here. Theres a german specialists whom their main specialty is porshce. i havent personally been there but Ive heard great things. I would avoid this place.

In all of my years of owning cars, I have never before found a auto shop that is as knowledgeable, friendly, honest and accommodating as the German Car Shoppe! For almost a decade I have brought multiple cars there to be repaired and/or serviced. Everyone from the mechanics to the owner is highly skilled, professional and trustworthy, in particular, the service advisor, Ed Slofkiss! Ed will go above and beyond to decipher a problem, determine possible solutions and present all the most cost-effective options. He has an amazing ability to think outside the box when faced with seemingly impossible repairs. Not only has the German Car Shoppe been incredibly flexible with my tight schedule, but they have always been available for questions (even pertaining to my non-German cars) and provided truthful answers. I will never take my cars anywhere else!!

Ive taken my 2002 330 XI here a couple of times. The guys are nice, with good/reasonable prices. I owe them a 5 star rating though for a visit I had 6 months ago. For years various shops charged me hundreds of dollars for various fixes related to a periodic throttle body fault condition that left me crawling home under idling power only - the problem continued after each visit and bill. But a guy at the German Car Shoppe (really wish I could remember his name) drove my car for a weekend, found a tiny vacuum leak, spent a day tearing things down to fix it, and Ive been driving since without a problem. I cant tell you how frustrating that problem was previously, or how relieved Ive felt since - Im a BIG FAN and recommend you try them too.

Perfect, I just talked to Ed, and it was nothing but refreshing. I spent the morning calling auto shops to try and see if they have heard of the problem that I have been with my Audi. I wanted to make sure a shop I was bringing my car to has heard of the problems I was having before I brought my car in. The other shops I talked to just wanted me to bring it in. I told Ed I was trying to find a place that has had this problem before so it wasnt going to cost me an arm and a leg just to find it. He took all my info and told me he would talk to his Audi guys and get back to me. I thought that was very cool and I know these guys are a class act. Although no work has been done, I felt a review was necessary on customer service alone.

John, Ed and the team are just fantastic. I cannot say enough good about these guys. I took my Volvo S80 in for transmission service. No problems, just high mileage service. The car had been wrecked and "fully" repaired. After Johns crew put it on the rack they called me to report that the engine mounts were hammered! Nobody in the repair process found this! I imagined it was going to cost an arm and a leg to get them replaced. Turns out it was not anything like I thought. Fair and affordable. These guys are pros and yet they are like family. Atmosphere is light and fun. When they shake your hand it is their way of saying, "Its going to be okay!" You are in good hands here!

We brought a BMW X5 in for service due to a squealing noise coming from under the hood. The BMW dealer wanted $800 to replace what they "thought" was the problem, and Ed at the German Car Shoppe charged $289 to fix what he KNEW was the problem. We brought the car over on the Saturday before Memorial Day and found that the shop was closed, but Ed was in the garage and happily did a short diagnosis for us and took about half an hour out of his day to answer our questions, even though he was closed that day. Overall, Ed showed us that he really cares about his customers and we could not be happier! We will be returning for future service needs.
