We needed part of our sewerline replace, and initially went with Apex because they seemed the most reasonibly priced. However in hind sight it was not worth the savings. We were told that we needed a portion of the line replaced due to damage done by tree roots and agreed to have a 10 section fixed for $2200 using a pipe bursting method. We also were told that the digging would be done in our neighbors yard under the tree only to come home to find our entire yard dug up fencing taken down, heavy equipment on our lawn, patio and garden. None of the plants that were dug up were replaced or even attempted to be preserved, the flagstone patio was destroyed, none of the weed mat was preserved or replaced, and the $900 in redwood mulch we put in was completely full of dirt. No effort was made to preserve anything in our yard. When we called the owner to question him about it all, he didnt even know that his workers had dug up our yard. There was a HUGE lack of communication between the owner and his laborers and despite the fact that they even had pictures/diagrams, they did not know what they were diging up. Im still putting my yard back together after they performed the work back in October and still have more work to do to restore it. Now that it is spring once a gain, Ive found out that the sprinkler system was not properly put back together and now leaks so bad that I know have to dig the entire valve box up again to repair it. Mind you, I am quite picky about my yard, but I have spent the last 3 years and a huge amount of money completely replacing the entire yard and do not feel that they lived up to their expectations as so proudly touted on their website. It would have been worth the money if he did as he initially promised and maybe had someone supervising his laborers instead of just letting them destroy my yard and do nothing about it.

48 reviews 1.0 star rating 5/17/2016 Our neighbors are popping the top of their home and their contractor used Apex to dig out and replace their sewer lines. I have multiple complaints regarding the job, but in particular was put off by the unprofessional and aggressive behavior of their workers. My husband and I work from home and were particularly surprised to find ourselves parked in by their work truck (absolutely no notice given, just a closed alley and a truck completely blocking our garage and cars). We let them know that we would be in and out of our garage throughout the day and they noted theyd be happy to simply move the truck for us. Upon arriving home, I was told explicitly by their worker "I will not move the truck for you one more time." He noted that he had a permit and therefore it was his right to do whatever he liked within the alley. The confrontation escalated to the point that he asked what kind of dogs I had in the car, explicitly looked through my rear windows to check on the breed of dog, and then noted they looked "big and black." How any of this was relevant, other than to intimidate and make me feel uncomfortable, I am not sure. Following a tense conversation in which he refused to tell me his name, the name of his boss, or give me a contact number, he proceeded to throw his trash against our fence and cuss me out within ear shot. The work was scheduled on a day when our trash is picked up (thus ensuring our trash will sit out for two weeks) and their workers left their own trash, cans, and detritus for us to pick up. Very unprofessional and dissatisfying interaction with their workers. If you care about your relationship with your neighbors, I would not use this company. Go elsewhere.

Apex, in installing a new sewer line to a renovated duplex behind my house, severed my sewer line in the process. It took 48 hours to get them to accept responsibility, I had to call multiple times daily for updates, I never received a call from them when they promised to update me about the progress, and my wife, 2 toddlers and I were unable to run water or flush toilets for 5 days. Raw sewage from my neighbor (shared sewer line) backed up into my basement multiple times. To add insult to injury, their crew piled a 4 foot high mound of gravel in front of my garage door, trapping my car inside, which they did not remove for a full week. It was the most maddening week of my life, and they are very lucky I did not seek legal action. I am a reasonable man, but the communication was terrible, the work was shoddy, and they showed zero compassion for the nightmare they caused me and my family - and I paid an independent plumber $200 out of pocket to run a camera and help determine that they broke my line, and I never sought reimbursment because im certain they wouldve not agreed. you may have better luck with them, but this truth needs to be shared. They made a huge mistake, and did not handle it professionally. Did I mention they also severed my next door neighbors gas line in the process as well? If you hire them, watch them closely.

A customer of ours (who got our name from several different people) just brought Bryans review to our attention. This is the first we have heard of the problems that he describes. It would have been helpful had the reviewer noted our clearly stated, unconditional 5 year warranty, and given us the opportunity to honor it. The warranty would cover all of the items mentioned. We were able to track down this job by the date, price and work description. His recollection of events does not match that of anyone in our company that was involved in the project, We went by the job and it looks great. Just the way we remember leaving it. Our company continues to grow in a tough economy precisely because of the quality of our work and the integrity of our people. We hope that if any problems relative to our work arise in the future we will be contacted so that we can make things right. Apex Plumbing

My drain was clogged and the plumber that came out gave me the dreaded news that my sewer line was going to need replaced. Because my line ran under the street, they told me it could cost me more than $10,000 to replace it. Luckily I called several other plumbers to get estimates. Apex was not only the least expensive estimate, they were the most proactive. They told me I could save money by doing pipe bursting and contacted the city to make sure I would qualify. They had financing options for payment and were very helpful. They got the work done in one day and I couldnt even tell they had been there. They made my yard look as good as new. I was really impressed. If you need your sewer line replaced, I strongly recommend you call Apex. I could not be happier with the results.

My neighbor interviewed ten companies when their water line broke and went with Apex so I went with them when mine broke. They do an excellent job putting in a new line at a very low price. They are very professional with the quote, estimate, and business end. They arent the best at putting your yard back together and I moved my own plants and had to re-do my flagstone. I think they would be good with just grass but I dont have any grass, I have flagstone and planting beds. If you want your landscaping to look pristine you will have to pay more. My advice is to get your new water line/new sewer before you start doing the landscaping. If you want a great price for a new sewer/water line this is the company to choose.
