Took my 4runner to this shop for an oil change and tire rotation and air pressure check on 6/17/2016. Was happy at the time and actually tipped the guy when he drove my car out to me. As Im driving away, I notice my air pressure light is still on, which was something I specifically asked them to address. Minor aggrivation, regretted tipping the guy (who said as I slipped him a $5 bill, "Oh F*%k man I dont need that, but thanks I guess"--unprofessional response, but hes an oil-change tech so who cares). Fast forward to 7/11/16, my car is at a different shop for some more major repair work. The new shop calls me and says they cant find my wheel lock key anywhere. I told them its always in the glove box, but they swear its not there. So I called up Midas to ask. After seven minutes of being on hold, I tell the guy the issue and ask if my key is still there. He says hed need me to bring in the car so he could see which one is mine. I ask him what he means, and he explains that he has SEVEN keys sitting around. I ask him if it is typical for them to keep customers wheel lock keys, and he says no. So this is a persistent problem with them, and theres at least six other customers out there missing their key. Now I have to have the new shop destroy my locking lug nuts and replace them with new ones, at my expense, because Midas kept my key and couldnt figure out which one was mine without me leaving work, picking up my car from the new shop, and driving over. What a bad shop with an obviously bad record of customer service and responsibility. 0/5 if I could.

I took my vehicle in for some fluid changes. They called to tell my I had some worn and cracked belts. I had them install new belts at a borderline unreasonable cost. They failed to install my alternator! They did not tighten the pivot bolt adequately, nor did they reinstall the lock washer on the pivot bolt. This caused the bolt to back out of the engine block, the belt to loose tension, and the belt was thrown from the motor. Either as a result of the thrown belt jamming another part of the rotating assembly, or over-tightening other belts upon install, my water pump broke, over heated, and i was stranded 1500 miles from home. After seeing the alternator hanging off the engine, I called from the road side and was told they would take care of costs incurred do to their negligent work. They did not. The total cost for the initial negligent work and the resulting repairs/tows/rentals etc. is, to date, about $1900. Included in that number is the cost of another shop re-doing all the work they performed;because who knows how many bolts they didnt tighten and when their negligence will cause another failure. They worked on my brakes, so my life could literally be at risk. Also, since the over-heating, my oil pressure is lower than prior to the failure, so they have taken years off the life of the motor. I wouldnt trust these people to install a bulb in a dome ligh

I went in for a blinker fix(on a jeep wrangler) and they wanted to charge me $450. When I declined the work being done and spoke to Joe, he informed me there was much more work needed to be done. When I question the work, Joe tried arguing with me. When I told him I didnt appreciate his comments and the tone they were spoken, he continued. I tried to explain to Joe that my family has been coming here with this vehicle for years and we had had great customer service from a manager named Bob. He then told me that Bob no longer worked for the company because he always gave away things to customers. I dont know why Bob isnt there anymore, nor do I care but he never spoke to customers in the manner Joe spoke to me today. At that point I tried leaving but Joe came out to where my Jeep was parked to make it a point he didnt charge me with something. WOW. I would never recommend this place....I just went down the street to a jeep shop, $45 later all is workin great. Do not take your vehicle here, they will tell you much more is wrong with the vehicle.

I went to get an oil change because I had a coupon. They took me in later than they usually do and they were polite thats why they get 1 star. However- while I was there I asked about checking out my front blinkers. They told me they replaced the bulbs and there was still an issue that was probably electrical and I would need to come back in. After talking with my boyfriend he suggest I see someone else in which case I did. The mechanic at the second garage I went to fixed my blinkers by changing the bulbs (hmm strange). Not only that but he did it in about 10 minutes for $20. Needless to say the mechanics at Midas are either dishonest or incompetent. Either way that is not good for a business this day and age where competition is vast. I will not return for business and I suggest if youre not savvy on cars you should steer clear.

I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. After I left, I noticed one of my hubcaps was missing. I took my car back to see what had happened and was told that my hubcap was damaged/loose, but no one told me when I got my car back. Ive had this car for 2 years, have had multiple tire rotations, and have never been told the hubcap was damaged or loose (let alone it being gone after I left the store). I was told that someone would call me to figure out the issue and I had to call them 3 times before someone would talk to me about it. I was told that no one could find a replacement for my hubcap and that I would need to find one on my own. Had I not called, no one would have ever told me. Ill definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

I have been to this shop several times with multiple vehicles and they have always provided excellent service. Most recently my wifes Subaru has been overheating due to multiple issues and I needed a quick fix since everyone has been booked this summer. They very clearly outlined a plan moving forward and then called me and worked with me over the phone to find a reasonable quote for needed repairs. They were able to move it into the shop quickly and get the repairs done over a full day of work. I will be picking the vehicle up this week and will update the review once I can see their work which I know to be excellent.

These guys rock! Very honest, will take the time to show you whats going on with your vehicle and will try and work with you on pricing if they can. Bruce is my favorite, He is very honest and a well knowledged mechanic. They do get really busy at times but will try to squeeze you in as fast as they can. It may take them awhile at times to get a vehicle completed but in my opinion its good because you never want a mechanic in a rush when it comes to working on a car. These guys will always get my business as well as many others Ive sent their way. All in all they do a fantastic job and theyre an honest shop!
