Im a DIY type of guy. I messed up my car. I brought the XT into the shop, after talking with the owner over the phone. The owner patiently listened as we discussed the issue, and made me feel like less of an idiot. Rocky, the man of the hour, spent a ton of time on the car, troubleshooting the issue. It ended up being unrelated to what I did, and therefore even harder to track down, as the focus was on what I did. But he also had to correct a few issues I had created, along the way. Rocky ended up getting her running like a champ. Throughout this whole process, Rocky provided updates, however a little sporadically. But I had faith, based on previous reviews and the vibe I was getting. He was clearly doing his best to save me money at every opportunity, and the final bill showed it. These guys know how to run a business, and they have mine. My DIY list has officially shrunk, now that I have a reliable mechanic. Heck, because these guys only work on Subarus, they may have inadvertently given Subaru more of my business. Great job Subapros! Im recommending you left and right by the way.

Brought my car to SubaPros suspecting a thrown piston rod, which they quickly confirmed. I was reluctant to repair the car because in addition to this major problem my car had a number of small problems (electrical annoyances and cosmetic issues), and I was not sure it was worth the money. They were very knowledgable about my cars resale value with a rebuilt engine (which I confirmed independently); reassuring me that spending the money would be worth it. Additionally, they addressed all of the "small problems" bundling them into the job at a significantly reduced price. To be honest they did not make money on this additional work. I was impressed with their customer service, their professional knowledge, the quality and speed of their work, and their sensitivity to my budget. I feel for the amount of work that they provided I received a very fair price. In the past, I have had multiple negative experiences with mechanic shops using dishonest sales tactics. My experience at SubaPros was very positive, and I will be bringing my car back in the future!

My wife and I recently moved to the Arvada neighborhood from Lakewood. Last week I was driving to work and noticed a sign for "Subaru Repair" on Ward Road. I took note of this as Ive always driven a Subaru, and I also had a specialty repair project that I needed performed. I had already been going back and forth with via email with AutoNation for the past week. In addition to not answering my question about time frame and scheduling, the AutoNation agent did inform me the repair would cost $95. On my way to work today I decided to stop into SubaPros and ask them about the repair in question. Much to my relief, they informed me that all I needed was a clip and Lou quickly replaced the part I needed within 5 minutes. I went inside to pay the bill, and they said it was on the house. I was blown away! Their friendliness, eagerness to help, and the ability to help me on the spot was truly appreciated. It was a very simple end to a project that I was starting to dread. A huge thank you to the friendly folks at SubaPros! I will definitely be back!

I trust and respect these guys wholeheartedly. They did a pre-buy vehicle inspection for an Impreza I planned to buy, and identified a number of things it’d need if I wanted to purchase and keep it for a long time. As a bit of a DIYer, I indicated I was planning to do the work myself (head gaskets, timing belt, etc.). They were more than happy to point me in the right direction. A couple times during the project when a question arose or I was having trouble doing this or that, I gave these guys a ring and they were more than happy to walk me through it. Now they could have squeezed some money out of me and said, “sorry guy, gotta bring it into the shop,” but they didn’t. They were very open with the information and seemed to respect me attempting the work myself. Project is now all complete and car is running great. But if anything comes up that’s over my head - or that I attempt and need an expert resource - they’ll be my one and only call. Truly, top notch people AND mechanics to boot.

Just bought a Forester from a sleazy mechanic who scammed me into a buying a car. He claimed to have made $2000 worth of repairs to it, which convinced me that the engine was solid, why else would he invest so much into it. He also stated that the engine may have been replaced by the previous owner. Yes, it was my fault for being stupid and falling for it. Took the car home and noticed a rod bearing knock a few days later. This problem would require a new engine which will cost me $4000-$4500! So calling around to get pricing, I spoke with the a couple of guys over at Subapros. Peter was one of the person I spoke with, he was was greatly helpful as he tried to troubleshoot the problem over the phone, even before looking at it! Of course, there is only so much he can do without seeing the car. So far, these guys is slowly restoring my faith in mechanics, shortly after being scammed by another. Thanks guys.

I recently bought a rebuilt outback from Subapros and am Loving it! Its nice to drive a Subaru and its great to know that although mine has 107,000 miles on it, its mechanically a brand new vehicle. These guys are very thorough in their work. Although its a 2001, it has a newly rebuilt motor, timing belt, Brakes, Cv joints Boots... the works, everything is mechanically new. I am a professional musician and need a car that is reliable. Im glad I came to the right place. I can drive with confidence, knowing that I wont have any major mechanical problems for years. I highly recommend Subapros to anyone that needs any sort of work on a Subaru or anyone that wants to buy a newly rebuilt older Subaru as I did. youll great a great deal on a reliable vehicle. Don and the guys at the shop are very professional and friendly and will help you with your vehicles needs- Rick Weingarten

Went to this shop on (2/10/2015) for a quote. All I was asking was to paint a front bumper World Rally Blue. No installation or removal of front grille/fog light housings. Just paint. I was immediately turned down as soon as they saw my car (2015 sti). Told me this, "No offense but, We dont work on wrxs anymore, you guys are way to meticulous about your cars and will find every little defect. We will end up repainting it and we just dont do wrxs any more". I have never been to SubaPro before and this is how they treat first time customers. If they do not have the confidence in their painting ability, they should not advertise auto body paint. Saying no to a customer is something every shop should do if they cant do they work required, but it should be done so in a polite and respectable manner. After this experience I now know where not to go for paint work.
