One star is too many for them. Two days before thanksgiving Sears sent Lauretti to replace and Install new water heater. After instillation instead of first draining the water heater system they told me to open the hot water faucets and let the air and the muddy water out. I did so and the dirt in the water partially clogged my kitchen faucet, there was only a narrow flow of water. He said it is clogged with sand and he was going to fix it. He dis assembled my faucet all the way up to a white part which he tried to pen but he couldnt. He said the sands are behind that part. He did not want to force it and after a couple of trial he gave up and said he was going to see how the inner part could be opened I said if he wanted to take a picture from it and in response he said no I know it looks like American Standard. He put it together without tightening the parts completely and said he was going to report it to his job. Now the faucet is constantly dripping, something we never had before. The following day I called them but they did not answer or return my call. The whole Thanksgiving Day we went without water. So far we have called Sears for at least six times and three times they were supposed to come and fix it but it never happened. Every time we talk to them they come up with different excuses, such as: • You have to change your faucet. But there is nothing wrong with it that would require change. • Call your own plumber to fix the faucet. • Your faucet is rusted. The faucet is well made and it is all stainless steel with a polyethylene component inside it. When their plumber opened it up to remove the sand there was no sign of any rust inside it. • Your faucet is not part of water heater warrantee. But they caused the problem by sending dirty water inside the pipes before draining the water heater first.

Tried working with them for a Lowes installation; we gave them details on what we wanted to do, and they misquoted our needs and overcharged their services by hundreds of dollars for the project.
