One Star is entirely too good of a rating. Worst experience ever. We had a sewer drainage blockage. The tech arrived, collected $400 and was supposed to clear the blockage and then provide us with a 6 month guarantee to clear any blockages that may occur during that time frame at no additional cost. The tech was unable to access the drainage pipe so WE installed an outside clean out valve for him. He returned and attempted to clear the blockage a second time. He supposedly was unable to do so and said wed need to send a camera down (at an additional cost) but that would be unavailable for a week. Six days after the initial visit and with no resolution or camera scope we demanded the manager visit. He arrived and had US punch a hole in the pipe near the clean out valve while he watched. There was a solid root blockage which WE removed. Water slowly started to flow and he started to leave. There was still another 125 feet until the town sewer line so I asked him how he knew there were no other blockages further down. "Oh no you are all set. The water is flowing" and he left it at that. Less than 24 hrs after his comment we had another full blockage. When I contacted him he claimed his snake would only go out 100 and he would have to charge an additional $90 but for a discounted rate of $700 he recommended we do a jetted flush and that would resolve any issues. What happened to the guarantee that the $400 we already paid would cover blockages for 6 months? And what happened to actually CLEARING any blockage in the first place which they did not do. They took our money and literally did nothing. As others have stated this company is unethical and will prey upon people who need help and dont realize there are other options available. Fletcher Sewer and Drain came out and cleared all blockages for $200 and provided me with a camera view of the drain AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. Per the detailed camera work they confirmed the pipes were clear and in good shape all the way to the town connection. Amazing that in under an hour they were able to locate the blockage, clear it, camera scope the line 125 to the street, and ensure the entire pipeline was totally cleared. Hmmm....and Roto Rooter could not? The only thing they could do was take our money and leave us with no way to run any water source for over a week until we called Fletcher.

Be careful doing business with Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service . Sunday morning 03/01/2015, I got up to no water in the house. The first thing I checked was the circuit breaker for the pump and power to the pressure switch (Like Mamma said check the fuse first. Is the pump coming on?). The pressure gauge read 2 ½, of course no water came out of the pipe when I turned it on. I called a few plumbers in the area and they usually charged around $100 for a diagnostic fee….. however availability wasnt working out so I ended up calling Roto-Rooter . They told me the diagnostic charge would be $150. Once he finished his 5 minute, job cutting bolts from well cap, Roto-Rooter charged me $316. He said $150 dollars is for the diagnostic charge and the rest for his five minute job (which he cut off my well bolts). I signed the agreement for his arrival at the job. He told me that I have a bad bump. He gave me an estimate of $5000 to $7000 and he didnt replace the cut off bolts of the well cap. I feel I should not pay more than the diagnostic charge. I feel I was misled and should not have had to pay more than 150 dollars and been compensated for the bolts. The next day I called the Steven Brothers local plumbing company. They did the entire job for $1658. They replaced the pump and various other parts. The difference between the repair the Steven Brothers made and Roto- Rooter’s estimate is $4000. I would never recommend this crooked company(Roto-Rooter) to anyone. The national name means nothing, and they have proven they dont care at all about customer satisfaction, quality, or apparently honest work.

Early Saturday morning, I hear this strange gurgling sound in the walls. My wife yelled out oh my gosh theres sewage coming out of the shower! She said we need to call a plumber, and weve used RotorRooter in the past, so lets give them a call. Within the hour, a man named Ken came out spent hours trying to figure out the problem and said I need to call my supervisor. As I was getting nervous and panicking, he calmed me down and called Bob "Loz" Lozanov, his supervisor. Bob came over and he was an hour away. Spent hours trying to figure out what the problem was, and suggested what to do. He had a crew out here the next morning, they fixed it, they were professional, courteous and even financially, they gave me a way to pay off the large bill. They also cleaned up, seeded my lawn, found tree roots that were breaking the sewer pipes, fixed that, and took their time doing it. They did not leave until they knew everything was working. They did not rush, and although it was quite costly, I was able to fill out a plan on monthly payments with them. Also, they were right in the budget, there were no additional costs after the original estimates. Thank you RotorRooter for allowing us to flush our toilets once again! -Shaner Family P.S. - They even put up with our puppy getting in their way at times!

The service was nothing less than fantastic. With a backed-up toilet and a clogged sanitary pipe to our septic tank, we needed help fast and Roto-Rooter delivered. Your service tech, Tyler from South Windsor, was the most courteous and professional individual we could ask for. He represents your company very well and his personal effort would be enough to make us always call Roto-Rooter in the future. He worked quickly, advised us of progress every step of the way, and had our entire system up and working in no time at all. He deserves special recognition for a job well done and for his commitment to Roto-Rooter in providing exceptional service. Your cost was reasonable and better than using a local less-experienced plumber. Thank you!

(Enfield, CT) Drains had been slowing up for a while, and finally hit a point where I knew I needed some professional help. Called RR, they were here in under an hour. Tim, my Roto-Rooterer, was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. He cleaned out my stack and replaced my cleanout cover (which was probably as old as the house), and showed me how to take care of the rest of the pipes between the drains and the stack. Toilet is back to flushing the way its supposed to, and the piece of mind is priceless. Thanks guys!

I made an appointment a week in advance and they didnt show until the very end of the appointment time The only excuse I ever got was the apparently one guy they have doing appointments got caught up at another job so too bad for me. After a minimal visual inspection I was told it would be 400$ plus parts and at least two hours to fix. After minimal internet research the price should have been at most 200$ with parts. It was incredibly unprofessional and sleazy experience.
