This place is a complete rip off. I live about two and a half hours away from a close family friend who is a mechanic and owns his own garage and car lot and he is usually the only person I allow to touch my car. I had an emergency where my windshield wipers stopped working in the pouring rain and this PepBoys was the closest to me to fix the situation. They ended up quoting me an outrageous price and when I called the family friend he gave me the actual price that parts and labor should cost for this particular service. PepBoys tried to take advantage of me because I was a female in desperate need of a quick fix. They were charging me $310 dollars for a $150 job. Even the dealership offered to do it cheaper. The job would take an hour at most, according to my friend who is a brilliant certified mechanic with a booming business. The part only cost 75 dollars at wholesale cost and they charged me 140 for it. That means that they made almost 70 dollars profit on the part and for a job that takes an hour, they were charging 170 an hour in labor costs. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!! The manager also told me that if my brother is so good I should drive the two and a half hours home and have him do it. They are completely rude, disrespectful, and rip offs. I highly recommend you take your business to a family owned garage who will do the job a thousand times better than any of these people and who will not try to rip you off.

Had my car brought in, was told a technician would look at it Saturday morning and determine if it was an issue that he could determine. I was told that it might be something worse, and that it might need to wait for another technician on Monday, but that at least this guy could rule out a few things first. I never got a call, Saturday or Sunday, and I had to call them Monday just to hear them tell me that they dont know whats wrong with the car, and that I should have it towed to the dealership.

Made an appointment for AC check, when I showed up for the service, they tell me that the mechanic called in sick. No one bothered to call & alert me, and then asked if I could do it the following day. I said, "no, because you all scheduled me for this time and I need this done today." Thankfully the Concord Pike location fit me in. I will not be going to the New Castle shop again. This was also my first visit at that location.

Mechanich lied and said I needed a new ball joint when I recently replaced all my control arms so went to sears for a alignment and nothing was wrong
