I went to Tires Plus in Phoenixville on Sunday to get snow tires changed out for regular tires. Several things happened. 1. They performed a "courtesy check" on the car and found that three separate things could be fixed, totaling repairs of about $600. We decided to pass on this. 2. It turned out that of the 4 replacement tires we brought 3 were regular tires and 1 was a snow tire. They were very very nice and charged us only for 3 tire changes rather than 4 as the fourth one was replacing a snow tire with a snow tire. So I almost want to give them an extra star for customer service 3. The Monday night following the tire change out, my check engine light came on. Unable to deal with it that night I waited til the following morning. 4. Tuesday morning I took my car to the Advance Auto Parts in Royersford. There they gave me a free check engine light diagnosis and came up with the answer that it was a coolant issue. The guy was really nice and took a peek under the hood to find that the radiator fan attachment cord was completely unattached. He hooked it back in and I went on my way, realizing that Tires Plus must have forgotten to reattach the fan if they had to take it out (which they shouldnt have even done, since they were just changing tires...no reason to pop to hood except for their "courtesy check") 5. The check engine light remained on and the car began to overheat despite the fan working. I took it to Willies Auto and Truck repair in Royersford. There they found that the hose at the bottom of the radiator was so loose that it had basically emptied itself of antifreeze. Again the mechanic assured me that this was not something that comes loose on its own. Someone had to loosen it. Again Tires Plus had no reason to go under my hood except for their "courtesty check". 6. Taking the invoice from Willies I returned to Tires Plus. They reimbursed me for the repairs that Willies did and went so far as to reimburse me for lost wages as I was forced to miss a day of work as a result of my car not working. So at the end of the day, Tires Plus has good customer service. However Im going to give them the benefit of the doubt that their technicians are either grossly negligent or incompetent rather than having intentionally sabotaged my vehicle in an effort to pad out what was an already fairly expensive tire changing procedure. I will not be returning any time soon, but I am satisfied that they were able to reimburse me in a timely manner and they went above and beyond the call of duty by reimbursing me for my lost wages which most other companies would not do.

I only dealt with this store over the phone and the headache was phenomenal. The worker couldnt understand I was using customs wheels and tire sizes on my car. Worse yet, he never returned my phone calls. When I finally got him on the phone for tire availability, he said they didnt have them and referred me to the Berwyn store. Once at the Berwyn store the manager was great and understood my needs and my car was serviced promptly. I was very happy until I drove home and saw one wheel center piece missing. I phone him, and never got a return call. After 2 hours I got him on the line and he told me to "look for it on the road" Can you say needle in a haystack? I can. I had to call the manufacturer and get a replacement piece. He told me it was because they were cheaply made. Really? Then why were they originally 3K for the set of wheels? I think working on a normal car they might be fine, but if you own a custom or exotic car, think twice. It wasnt worth the money or interest free financing when you factor in my hassle. I am now without a center cap for 10 days while the manufacturer ships one to me. Its like walking around with one shoe with no lace. While I know accidents happen, accountability and customer service make any business. Dont blame me, better yet return phone calls, dont have customers chase you! The reason I rated this location a one star is because this is a Chain store and they both dropped the ball. They couldnt even transfer tires from one store to another so I didnt have to drive to Berwyn.

I was a faithful Tires Plus advocate, Went to the Conshohocken store for years, never with an issue. And, I believe that Tires Plus as a company is solid, customer oriented and dedicated to providing a service with a hometown feel and care. That being said, this location has strong management and great customer service folks. From the greeting, to explanations of service, and delivering good news or bad, the team that deals with the public are great. The service (depending on the mechanic) can be good or bad in my experience, unfortunately in the 5 times and 3 vehicles that Ive taken to them, only one came away without having to be either brought back to be fixed again... or was not done properly to begin with. Or in the latest case the mechanic broke a part to be installed, then because his tool broke with it, got a replacement tool and installed the broken part. This may or may not have been done with his knowledge (that the part broke with the tool, I mean), and T.P. did right by me in two cases and reversed fees. Like I said, excellent management and a team that understands hardship and owns up to mistakes. Because of my history, with THIS store ONLY, unfortunately I may have to think two or three times longer before going there as my go-to place.

I am leaving this review for my Mother who is a senior citizen and not very computer savvy. She had her oil changed at this shop and the used the wrong oil filter. This caused all the oil to drain out of the car while she was driving. She is on limited income and Tires Plus is not doing anything about it. They have been rude and are trying to ignore the situation in hopes that she will just go away. They have not owned up to the mistake and seem to have no intention to. DO NOT go here they are incompetent, rude and dont care about there customers. My mother who cant afford to retire and needs to work to make ends meet. She has missed work because of their mistake and is looking at a bill close to $10,000 for a new engine which she can not afford. Tires Plus has been totally irresponsible in owning up to the mistake. Take your car here at your own risk!! If they screw up you will be left holding the bag for there carelessness!!! If I could give zero stars that is what I would give Tires Plus!!!

I have been to Tires Plus a few times and had no issues with service provided. However, I recently went in to have my 2 year old car inspected. I was told that it would not pass inspection and required $1100.00 worth of work. I was shocked and said I needed some time to think about it, I was offered a $100 coupon for the work to be done and told it was not safe to drive the car. I went to the dealership, it passed inspection with no problem and required no work. I do not know if they were trying to make money off of someone with very little knowledge of cars and how they work, or if they truly believed the vehicle was in need of the unnecessary and costly repair, either way, I will not be using them anymore.
