I printed a coupon from Firestones website for a $19.99 oil change and scheduled an appointment for that and a tire rotation. They didnt accept the coupon and was charged $30 for the oil change. Upon checkout I learned they didnt do the tire rotation, claiming my car was unsafe (though safe enough for an overpriced oil change), and was given a list I didnt ask for of all the things I needed done, surpassing that of the value of my car, and only which Firestone could provide. I only wanted the oil change with the stipulation of a tire rotation as per my appointment, and not someone QCing a car that is almost 20 years old. Im surprised they gave me my car keys back and was allowed to drive away with how "unsafe" my car is after denying me such a basic and oftentimes complementary service. I wheeled across town and had the rotation done at a local mechanics shop for $15. They were grateful for my business, and I was grateful for they did what I needed done and didnt try to intimidate me through fear to buy new tires or engage their other services like Firestone is accustomed to. I will give all of my automotive business to local establishments from now on and not to a class-biased Nazi corporation like Firestone who exists off of fear and ignorance, and I suggest everyone to do the same.

Called to ask Adam a price for acwhheel balance. He was rude on the phone and even worse in person!! Couldnt seem to understand I needed one wheel balanced because the stock on weights fell off. After explaining which wheel it was twice he finally made his way thru the difficult task of using the computer. Took my keys and went directly to the opposite wheel that I told him!! He came back and told me my tires were cracked and I needed a new set. They arent cracked. At the end no thank you just handed me the receipt. Ive dealt with the other counter guy too hes rude also. These guys have no customer service skills and could care less if you do business there. Also they made fun of people who left and didnt want their services. Place was empty and they told one guy a hour and a half for an oil change. I will never go back and I would recommend you go some place else also. If I could give no stars I would have!! There are plenty of other places that would appreciate your business!!

i usually get my tires changed here for the convinience of it been near my home. theyve always provided me with air for my tires at no charge without a care in the world but this morning i went for that service and the guy that was there by the name of Adam was conpletely rude. i was taking the caps off for him to put the air in my tire and one of the caps fell between my brake pads so i asked him if i could borrow a magnet he told me no so i tried lifting my car a bit to take off the tire and get the cap back so i could leave with out damaging my vehicle and he went as far as getting loud and calling me an a** i was like wow really he was like dont talk back to me and acted like he was ready to get physical. i couldve stooped to his level but i have more class and maturity than that to get mad over something that was out of my control. congratulations firestone you guys lost a client and i wont ever be back there again. next time hire people with some better manners

I have been using this particular shop for many years (and 3 diff vehicles) since i initially lived walking distance from it. Even since moving out of walking distance (still not terribly far but the convenience factor has definitely changed) i am still loyal to these guys. Sean who i believe is the manager has always been kind and honest with me. Yes, they usually find more work to be done than i go in expecting, but i have a 13 year old car so im never suprised, and when i ask about the urgency of suggested work (because my budget is very limited) they are always very helpful in explaining my options, limitations, and safety concerns, but never pressure me to do work. I trust them! The shop itself is always nice and clean too. And its right next to downtown hollywood so strolling around and getting a coffee or a bite to eat while i wait is always a pleasure!

No stars - Took car in due to a loud noise and other maintenance items including checking the A/C that wasnt cooling as normal. They found the alternator (replaced under a year ago) was bad and the cause of the noise. They replaced the alternator. They also informed us that our A/C compressor was bad and needed replaced, quoting $1300. I found it difficult to believe that the compressor was bad as it was working when we took it in, just wanted to check for leaks etc. I took to another shop to check the A/C. They charged and checked for leaks, found the system was fine. They questioned if we recently had the alternator replaced? If so, they stated that the a/c line(s) have to be removed in order to remove the alternator. Thus, no refrigerant. Regardless to say, never again Firestone!

Good little shop that you can trust. Perfect location. Drop off your car and have lunch downtown. This place is getting unfairly bashed in the reviews here. Im sure some people are shocked/bitter about finding out their car needs a ton of work, but these guys are straight shooters (and youre always free to shop around). Ive been going to them for a year and a half and have always received great service and quick turnaround. One time during an oil change they patched up a leaky tire for free ... another time they recommended new tires (long overdue) then gave me free balancing and offered lifetime alignment for a reasonable price.

They installed 2 rear tires on my Acura and insisted that I buy the extended warranty; I declined. After the tires were installed, I drove off and my rear brakes began to squeal very loudly. I went back after a couple of days and they quoted me $811 to replace all 4 rotors and brake pads. Keep in mind that I had no prior issues with the brakes and they did not mention any issues when they installed the tires. I would NOT recommend them for any services them because they are overpriced (I paid $260 to replace all four brake pads and to resurface the rotors at a local mechanic) and dishonest. Go somewhere else.

Brought in my Honda Accord for service - Started just with an oil change which was priced right ($52 for synthetic oil) and thereafter it blew up for an estimate of over 600$ service which seem very high - . after taking it to a different mechanic I learned that Firestone were up-selling me on things which were not necessary like rotors and also were overpriced ....for example $42 for an Air filter.... the other mechanic did the job for a way lower price. shop around people - find a mechanic which you trust so there will be less guessing and less getting hit by shrewd mechanics ....

I worked 4 years at a major dealership service center and during the last three years of taking my two cars to this location and others Ive seen NONE of the sjady tactics I used to employ to get people to spends LOADS of cash on useless processes. CONS - they can do better with their suggestions and what parts they keep in stock. Cmon, every third car on the street is a Honda Civic, are you telling me you can carry air filters and wiper blades for a vehicle thats that popular? Staff is super cool and they are fast!
