I have had a few instances of bad service here, but never when I go in to pick up a package or mail something out - the people at the desk are all pretty friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the way they handle deliveries is the complete opposite. I have had multiple cases where they didnt deliver a package and didnt tell me why they couldnt leave it at my door, and a few times when they said it was "too heavy" when it was only 15 lbs or so. Anyone working in a physical labor job should be able to do that one handed. When I complained they told me the lady who delivers packages to my building recently had back surgery (but its been a long time and it still happens). I understand that must be hard but as the customer I should not be inconvenienced because they cant fulfill their job responsibilities. Apparently this is fine with the office because there are a few steps leading up to my door and that allows the delivery person to use their judgement and say its too difficult to deliver. After this happened a few times I did get them to have someone else redeliver when I call and ask for it. Just now I called to ask about a package though, and as soon as they answered my first question they hung up so I didnt get all the answers I was looking for. Basically this place is good in person but otherwise its a disaster. I have run into the delivery woman and she seems really nice but she definitely needs to find a job that doesnt require heavy lifting if she isnt able to do it, and the post office should hold their employees accountable for their duties. They even told me at the office that packages less than 50 lbs should be deliverable unless the box is unusually shaped or very large or the destination is difficult to access. A few steps is not a big obstacle for a 15-20 lb package. Its frustrating when I walk in still with my heels on from work (and I am very petite) and carry out the package no problem.

MISSING MAIL 80% OF TIME AND this postal office is RIDICULOUS.. the main staff are ok but there is one lady who is something else. she talks down to customers and talks purposely with a tone to imply one is stupid or imcompetent . this is demeaning belittling and extremely rude. also this isnt done quietly so whoever is in line can hear it . if you state your mail is missing its not their problem apparently well at least thats the attitude. the mail mysteriously appeared after she rolled her eyes after having to go and put in an effort to look harder for it . the male who claimed to be in charge over the phone (after mail said delivered but wasnt ) hung up on me twice and they never ever call back. it took 4 weeks to get keys for a mailbox after paying $25 for them. suppose to be 7-10 days. pshhhhh.. this overall is possibly the worst mail office in jacksonville and MAIL ALWAYS TURNS UP MISSING. SO FAR 6 PACKAGES HAVE GONE MISSING THIS WEEK. THAT STATE DELIVERED BUT I DONT HAVE THEM SO SOMEBODY DOES . DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE !!!!

TWO TIMES WE HAVE SENT CERTIFIED MAIL RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED AND HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET RECEIPT BACK SHOWING IT WAS OR WAS NOT PICKED., I UNDER STAND THINGS HAPPEN BUT CERTIFIED RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED IS JUST THAT, IF THE POST OFFICE LOSES SOMETHING WHICH IS RETURN RECEIPT WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET PRINT OUT THAT WE MAILED IT. NOW WE HAVE TO POST NEW ADDS RE-MAIL NUMEROUS OTHER LETTERS. SOMEBODY AT THIS POST OFFICE IS NOT DOING THEIR JOB AND JUST COLLECTING TAX PAYERS $$$$ . THEY NEED TO BE FIIRED WITHOUT GOVERNMENT COMPESATION. FURTHERMORE I SENT MY DAUGHTER DOWN TO MAIL CERTIFIED RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED FROM THE COMPANY AND THEWOULD NOT LET HER USE THE COMPANY DEBIT CARD BECAUSE HER NAME IS NOT ON THE CARD. I CAN SEE WHERE THEY ARE TRYING TO PREVENT FRAUD BUT I DONT THINK MANY THEIFS SENDING CERT. MAIL USING TE COMPANYS CARD THAT THEY ARE SENDING IT FROM. A LITTLE COMMON SENSE WOULD BE GOOD. MAYBE CALL THE BUSINESS SO I AS THE BUSINESS OWNER DOESNT HAVE TO LEAVE THE BUSINESS TO GO TO THE POST OFFICE.

I wish all post offices both held on to your mail and deny GDAMN UPS sure post because their is no one you can hold responsible for either making sufe that you receive packages. If I live in a apartment complex deliver to the damn door,are you going to melt if you go to the door and what pisses me off even more is that the packages are light so light that even a baby can pick it up. Damn. You also know that certain people dont have a mailbox key and yet you send out mail and make us customers do all the fu*king hard work, WTF seriously hold are letters and parcels that includes the ones in the mailbox that we dont have the key for. If I could change one thing about tihs post office is until your apartment complex or post office supplies you with a damn key give you a temporary P.O. Box until workers acknowledge the fact that your the customers and they are the business.

This place is the worst ever. The postmaster needs to FIRED! A new one would replace all the employees that have represented the lowest depths of indecency on any measurable scale known to mankind. Instead of writing a specific review I will just say they fail in many ways consistently, HATING of the people they serve being ranked #1 on my list. THEY ARE PROTECTED BY THE GOVERNMENT and that is why I will keep my review clean and avoid any violence thoughts I have. USPS is getting old. ebay and amazon is the only reason any of these people have a job. I cant help but wish KARMA on every one of them. I appreciate my life and time given to me. I treat people with respect and I demand the same. How dare the Government facilitate these people and pay them for a so called "service" thats BS.

this is the worst customer service i have ever experienced. they carrier has refused to deliver my mail because of a dog that was on a chain on the opposite side of my yard. i have had to go into the office to sign a liability letter and still have not gotten my mail, SINCE MARCH! the last time i went to pick up my mail i was obviously upset and said "this is so stupid" at that point i was told i had to purchase a PO BOX and they refused to give me the mail they were holding. i have missed appointments, my son missed a court date, my husband license were almost suspended due to not getting a red light ticket in time to pay. i am livid. and no one answers the phone when ive tried to contact them to speak to anyone in management.

I use this post office all the time. Its not the closest one to me but it is the friendliest and its not as busy as the others. I send packages all over the country and to countries in the U.K. and Germany. Ive never had any problems, knock on wood. Everyone there is kind and always acknowledge my 4 yr old and have even given her coloring books. I know there are a lot of bad reviews, Ive never seen anyone in there with a problem but with all the people they help of course there are going to be dissatisfied people. When I first pulled the reviews up I thought I accidentally pulled up the website for the DMV. I hope everyones issues were solved, Im in customer service and I dont like to see unhappy customers.
