We called Roto-Rooter when our garbage disposal wouldnt turn on. My husband explained to the lady on the phone that the garbage disposal wouldnt work and she said she could have somebody out for service at 3 p.m. First, the technician didnt arrive until after 5 p.m. - but, to their credit, they did call and tell us he would be about an hour late. The technician arrived and told us he could fix the disposal for $225. We agreed. He used a vacuum to unclog it - took about 5 minutes - after which the disposal still wouldnt work. We tried the breaker and it still wouldnt work. In all actuality, it was the disposal that was not working. But of course, we were still asked to pay the $225 because the call was ran as a "clog". When I let them know that I thought that $225 was a little expensive for a 5 minute unclogging, he said that thats what he was sent out to do. We never told anyone it was just a declogging - we said the disposal wasnt working. BUT, the technician offered to lower the price to $80 IF we paid for the installation of a new garbage disposal which runs at $375 for the labor and you have to buy the disposal yourself...so, $375+$80+the cost of the disposal (about $100). Anyhow, my husband can install a disposal and, as it turns out, it probably wouldve been cheaper for him to just replace the entire system instead of calling Roto-Rooter. $225 for a 5-10 minute job is too overpriced for me. To their credit, the technician did say he could lower the cost to $180 (he was probably tired of hearing me complain about how overpriced it was). UPDATE: We received a call today from the company regarding our experience. They worked very hard to ensure that proper resolution was taken for this matter. They listened to the complaints that my husband and I had about the process and ensured us that this was not the experience they intended for us to have. After learning about the normal process for addressing service calls, we are convinced that our experience was not common, nor was it their normal way of doing business. Unfortunately, at the time of the initial posting, we had no other experiences with Kissimmee Roto-Rooter to base our opinions off of. It always speaks volumes when a company is willing to go above and beyond to make a bad experience a much better one. There are not many companies that do this. We have worked with Roto-Rooter to fix the problem. They have shown us integrity in their business and that is something to be valued. We will definitely consider using them again.

My water heater started leaking on Saturday, August 5th and I wasnt available until Monday, August 7th to have someone come out and troubleshoot the problem and give me an estimate. I called on Sunday, August 6th to set up an appointment for Monday. The person who answered the phone was very polite and understanding of my concerns. She set up the appointment for Monday between 8AM-12PM. Luis Dominguez was my assigned technician. He arrived on time and told me that the water heater needs to be replaced and it may still be under warranty since it was only 4 years old. After calling the company that manufactured the water heater I found out that it was still under warranty and was given a reference number. I gave Luis the company phone number and the reference number and he took care of it from there. He removed the old water heater and picked up and installed the new one. Luis obtained the permit and made certain that everything was up to code. If I could give Luis 10 stars, I would. He went above and beyond to help me get my problem resolved. Luis was honest (what he quoted me is what I paid), professional and extremely hard working. He was very patient with all the questions I was asking him. Luis was very clean and respectful of my home. With me being the "homeowner from hell" that always has a complaint(s) with work I have done, I can say I could not find fault with anything. Please give this technician special recognition. He certainly deserves it. I would definitely use and recommend Roto-Rooter for plumbing services.

What can I say, I called them late maybe 2 am and made several calls around town and no one answered or even to this day called back after I left messages, I was able to get in contact with Roto Rooter and they where able to set up an appointment for 8 am which they called about 7:15 am to confirm the arrival of Tom and at 8 am he knocked on my door. I gotta tell you the great attitude was AWESOME but more importantly the WEALTH of KNOWLEDGE as he spoke about and showed me with in the first few minutes I knew I was going to be ok - if you are reading this you know the feeling of helplessness that exist with some of the workings of your home. I was plunging and used my snake but nothing. When Tom stepped in to the mess what was my clogged pipes he made me feel like everything was going to be ok ! It was and if you are going to look for someone I recommend Roto Rooter and in hopes that they send TOM 3361 or (31361) it was no cost to assess the problem and where no one wants to spend more then necessary, I felt comfortable with the price and they even gave me a chance to get a refund. I contacted Roto Rooter early on a Sunday morning because my wifes ring fell in the toilet and was accidentally flushed before she realized it. They had scheduled the appointment between 11am-1pm but the plumber didnt show up until after 2pm. The plumber didnt not have a camera to search the drain lines and I was told by their scheduler that one wouldnt be available until the next day. But after further discussion, I was told the next camera technician that was available would be sent to my house. The camera technician showed up a little after 4pm and did a thorough inspection of the drain lines both in the house and even a 100 ft into the city lines but was unable to find the ring. I wonder if the search would have been more successful if they had arrived when originally promised and with the correct equipment. Thankfully the ring is covered under insurance but it would have been nice to find it after spending $350 on the camera work. However, both Roto Rooter technicians were very professional and explained my options as well as the results of the search very well.

I am only giving them two stars because the job is done, otherwise, I would have given them zero. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. The first plumber to come to my house had to return three times because he didnt complete the job correctly. After the third visit, they sent another gentlemen who finally got the job right. The guy in charge of the water migration made an appointment with me and didnt show! He then texted me over five hours later to apologize. He rescheduled with me to then miss that appointment as well. That same gentlemen told me that the job would not exceed 1,000$ so I pulled the claim from my insurance. I finally get the price for the job way after the job is done and it is 1,400$. I spoke with the women who gave me this price and told her what I was told and she said she would get back to me the following day. It has been over a week. I have called the office and left a voicemail and still no response. I will never ever trust these people to do work for me again. I am so upset that I even allowed them to do the job.
