Everything that Downtown Moving and Storage was top notch, starting with the scheduling process and ending with clean-up. I had a move schedule that was very up in the air due to the availability of my new condos elevator. I called up DM&S and Lock patiently answered all of my questions and assured me that they would have a crew ready to go whenever I needed them. I was finally given approval to move in the day before my move and he was true to his word. The crew arrived at my storage unit in Hialeah on-time and quickly loaded everything on the truck. From there we drove to Hollywood to drop off some furniture to be refinished. The crew was very patient and helpful. From Hollywood, we drove to Miami to pick up a washer/dryer. The crew waited patiently and loaded everything (in the pouring rain) onto the truck. We finally made our way to the apartment in Miami Beach. They unloaded everything in the rooms we wanted and cleaned up an miscellaneous packing materials/boxes before leaving. I cannot say enough great things about the level of professionalism and service from this company and would recommend them to anyone.

***BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY*** I chose this company after seeing some positive reviews online, although after using their service Im guessing that some of those are fake. The movers arrived about 30 minutes late within their 11-12 schedule time and didnt call to say why...I called and was told they were on the way. Three guys showed up, two of them did good work although the "supervisor" really didnt do much. At the end of the move, the supervisor said that I had to pay by check even though no one ever mentioned that they didnt accept credit cards. Since I wasnt aware of this policy, I didnt have my checkbook on me. I asked to speak to the owner/general manager, so they put me in contact with him. He said there was something in the initial paperwork that mentioned this policy and that he doesnt like to take credit cards because he has to pay a 4% fee to the credit card companies. These seems like a shady company so Id think about looking elsewhere.

DM&S were the perfect solution for us as we had to move out of our place and hadnt signed on a new one. So the guys came and collected our stuff, wrapped any fragile and large items of furniture carefully and took it directly to their storage unit with minimal hassle for us. We got our own storage unit in their new, clean, secure, air conditioned facility and they were very accommodating when we needed to access it. The guys came on time the day of the move which was very important as our building only gave strict move out windows with the service elevator. We had from 8 to 12 and the guys were in and out in time. They were polite and careful with our things. All in all would highly recommend, very professional and over 10 years experience.

I had downtown moving pick my furniture up from my old place in Miami beach and store it for a month. Everything was delivered yesterday on the exact day and time they promised to my new place in NY. I’m normally not a big review writer but they asked me to review their company and I agreed to do so because everything went so well. If I had to move again it would be these guys. Price was fair but also guaranteed. Workers were good and you could tell they knew what they were doing when setting up my furniture at my new apartment in the city. No furniture damage. Customer service was good and organized. No communication breakdown whatsoever. Very honest guys / professional all around service. Thanks.

Way too slow. It took two guys 6.5 hours to move an apartment into a house (3 rooms). That cost me almost a GRAND. I packed and took everything apart for them before they arrived. I even had to help them move out of the apartment and into the house in order to speed things up. Between the long bathroom breaks and the lunch time I had to cover I had to put in way more work than I felt I needed to give. The drive is 14 miles and I just had them drop everything off between two rooms to make it quick and easy. Nice guys and they protected everything ok, but one guy moving everything and another organizing the truck was not as smooth as I wouldve hoped.

We are very pleased with the way Downtown Moving and Storage handled our move. They called ahead to confirm, and arrived on time. They worked very quickly and efficiently, and were very friendly. I was impressed by their pricing, which was very reasonable. I paid exactly what I was told Id be paying, period -- no surprises, no extra charges. Our belongings arrived in great shape and they even put our furniture exactly where we wanted it. Nothing was broken or missing, and the movers were very FAST and professional. I would definitely hire them again !

First off, I am so glad I hired Downtown Moving to complete our last local move from Doral to Aventura. I called 3 different companies and I picked these guys based on a gut feeling since the guy on the phone was very polite and seemed like he really knew the business. The crew showed up on time and they were very polite. The truck and equipment and the blankets were clean. These men work hard and only took very short breaks. Downtown moving and storage was the best moving decision I ever made! They were prompt, efficient, and extremely pleasant. My storage unit was slightly smaller than I wanted but they made sure all my furniture was carefully and meticulously arranged so everything fit beautifully. They also shrink wrapped all my furniture very carefully. Overall they made a what could have been stressful move a very enjoyable experience. For the service you get the price was great as well.

I think the owner or owners son? was in the army and he makes sure the trucks are on time and the move was executed...lol...in the proper manner. p.s. thanks for the starbucks gift card.....helps with moving stress relief!

Terrance, Sammy and London do excellent work. Terrance took very good care of my grandmothers mahogany writing desk. All three men were courteous, fast and efficient. They moved my 2 bedroom apartment plus way to many boxes to our new place in under 4 and a half hours. I highly recommend Downtown Moving to anyone who needs to move.
