I have been a customer here for 2 years now, and kept coming back because of the quality/price, but over the last year i have had to go back 3 times because of missing clothes. 2 of them i got back after they made some phone calls (they said the tag fell off). But on one ocassion i was too late by the time i noticed 2 expensive items were missing, and they had given them away to the salvation army. The owners are very nice, and the quality/price ratio is great; but if you go, make sure all your clothes are there when you pick them up. On the shoe repair side, they are good at polishing, but not for complex repairs. I am very satisfied with the polishing, but while cutting the heels on a satin/crocodile pair of pumps, they snagged the satin and damaged the croc leather, rendering them unusable. Overall: I am not going there again, but if all you need is a simple shoe polish and you plan on keeping all receipts and a good track of your clothes each time, it is a good place to go

I took 3 pairs of shoes there Casadi $ 1700 Giusepee $2000 Giuseppe $2000 I just took them to get half of rubber sole on bottom so they would not be slippery there was no damage prior to dropping them off I was charged 132.00 which I didnt mind paying because my shoes are high end and I expect a top notch job . Well when I went to pick up the shoes they were in worse condition the 2 suade pair had glue all over the shoewhere the sole was Didnt go so I was upset also my nude cassasi shoes the leather where they sanded or shaped the sole was scrapped right off to the bottom this is the worst place for alterations and to have your shoes fixed and the owner said they did the best they could and that they were the best in town. Total bs the best in town was heelqiuick sew in Florida mall they moved and I didnt know where so I tried this place worst mistake PLEASE STAY AWAY FROMTHIS BUSINESS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOU ITEMS THEY JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GIVE YOU A CRAPPY JOB

If you want to keep taking your clothes back over and over again just to get them pressed correctly, then this is the place for you. If you want to have that old lady holler at you and tell you to take your clothes some where else. If you want the Black lady in the store to lie over and over then this is the place for you If you take your clothes there I promise you they will damaged them surely. The Black lady is good at talking loud to try to get you to just leave and forget that the service is so terrible. If you want to pay your money to get unprofessional service then this is the place for you. If there are anyone that is willing to take these people to court for damages that was incurred by this dry cleaners please let me know. We got to stop businesses like these from operating here in Orlando. IF YOU DECIDE TO TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR CLOTHES BEFORE YOU LEAVE BECAUSE THEY SEND ALL CLOTHES OUT TO A 3RD PARTY TO HAVE THEM CLEANED

The customer service is absoltley terrible. I have been coming here for 8 years because they had been great in the past. They ruined a suit of mine and told me that they are not responsible for damages to clothing. I understand mistakes can happen and was not mad that my suit was ruined. I asked her if it was really true that they are not responsible for damages to ensure that i heard her correctly and she caused a scene so loud it was embaressing. I did get to walk out with my suit without having to pay but she embaressed me by yelling at me that I was just looking for money to get my suit fixed. Um, yes, I did want to be re-imbursed for the damages. Also, there was dog hair and lint all over my suit. I dont know how the suit got out of the cleaners and into my hands in the condition it was presented. Dont waste your time, money, or good clothing here. Apparently they are not responsible for damages.

I went to this store with a pair of boots where the sole of one boot was starting to come unglued from the rest of the shoe at the front. I showed them the problem to ask what would be the cost to fix the one sole. The person behind the counter took the undamaged boot, forcefully peeled the sole away from that boot at the toe and then said that both boots needed to be fixed and quoted an outrageous amount. Like the review below, they wanted me to pay first. Apparently these people need business so much that they have to create it themselves by first damaging the shoes that are brought in. I later called another store who told me to buy a $2 stick of ShoeGu which fixed the problem.

Its true that staff is not overly friendly, but they are nice enough - I think its more of a cultural thing than a customer service issue. Either way, Ive had clothes cleaned there and each time they look great -- including my wedding dress. They were able to get every spot out of it - it looked brand new (and trust me, I was not expecting it to after it was dragging on the streets of Key West). Ive also had shoes repaired and clothes altered - and never had any problems, they always look great and are finished in a timely manner. Plus, they have hours after 5 and on Saturdays. Id highly recommend them to anyone.

I also signed up to share my experience and what a horrible experience it was! First, let start with my shoe repair experience. They tired to claim my shoes had been repaired - when it was clear the heel had not be glued, then after inspecting the shoes - they said well pay us first and then we will repair the shoe!!!! These people are crazy!!! My dress and shirts came back damaged from the dry cleaning, but I will not bother to go back since customer service is not something that they care about as all!

Absolutely disgusting and rude customer service. I didnt think this was each location - but apparently each location is the same. Asking questions about the machines they have, what fabrics and quantities they can handle, and they decided to ask "are you retarded?" instead. I couldnt believe it. Just abhorrent service. Will never use, now. Will never recommend, now. Stay Away. Go to Seminole Centre Laundramat, instead. Absolutely wonderful people, and a joy to work with.

What do you love about American Shoe Repair? Share a tip.I live in St. Cloud but work in Orlando as a nurse educator. As a single mom who spends a great deal of time traveling to work, I have absolutely NO time to pick-up my dry cleaning. That is why I was so happy to find out that American Cleaners offers free pick-up. They come to my work and all I have to do is bring them my dirty laundry. I couldnt be happier!

I have used this dry cleaner - both the Bumby and Winter Park locations, for years, and have been consistently satisfied with their services - dry cleaning, occasional sewing fix-up and, of course, customer service. I am not sure what the negative reviews are all about, but my advice to anyone who is not satisfied for any reason is to just talk to John, the owner, and I am certain he would make it right.
