As a hard working business owner and licensed professional, I know more than most about customer service and satisfaction – and my hard work reflects that. I wish that I could say the same about my experience with Two Men and a Truck. On December 30th, the movers showed up on time (just about the only thing they did right!). Though it was slightly disconcerting that they informed me that this was their second day on the job, I chose to trust in the standards and training of this reputable company. Given that Two Men and a Truck had been recommended to me by friends and have a plethora of glowing reviews online, I expected no compromise on service. What made me even more uncomfortable, however, was that one member of the team brought his young daughter along. Unfortunately, what should have been a fairly standard move from one condo to another was anything but. My totally new $700 couch has not only an inexplicable brown stain, but is also punctured. My $2,200 bed and mattress was dragged along the ground, stained and scratched (regardless of the damage – would you feel good curling up in a mattress thats been sitting on the road!?). My coffee and end tables were chipped and scratched, a ceramic lamp is broken, and my framed artwork is scratched. As if all the damages were not enough, items were also missing. Artwork did not make the move from one condo to another – artwork that Two Men and a Truck claimed not to have but then mysteriously delivered days after the fact (scratched, with the gallery glass missing). Electronics were missing – which have still not been returned – such as my cable box and remote. Items which Comcast is charging me $200 for not returning. And for all this? Two Men and a Truck has denied fault and liability. They have sent me a check in the amount of $367 dollars (their standard rate of compensation which is change on the dollar by weight) which I refuse to cash. Between the services ($1,200), the couch ($700), the bed ($2,200), and Comcast fine ($200) alone I am looking at a damages of $4,300 – not to mention the various other damaged items. While I understand that this compensation is standard for Two Men and a Truck, there was absolutely nothing “standard” about this move. Two Men and a Truck has the absolute responsibility of preparing employees for the job and maintaining a minimum standard of service; Two Men and a Truck has an absolute responsibility to their Customers to ensure quality and that care is taken with their personal belongings – they are a moving company. Much of the damage to my property was very obviously intentional. How can this company hide behind the excuse of “policy” when they cant guarantee that their employees adhere to standard practice? I would not recommend.

This was the worst experience Ive ever had moving. They sent me not two but three guys and two were rookies. They took almost 8 and a half hour to move a two bedroom apartment. I went back and foward helping myself because the guys were just not fast enough. Not only was my girlfriend helping too, we ran circles around these guys. They one guy kept apologizing to me because he always got stuck with the rookies. After we get back to my new place, the two rookies couldnt put bed together or my vanity. Again I had to step in and help the only guy who knew how to put them together. Im sorry, but if youre going to send rookie drivers, give me rookie price. Which after 8hrs. I was pist and unhappy. Yet, he still charged me over $1,000. But the icing on the cake was when at night, I go to take my prescription medication they had stolen it from my night stand. That was the kicker. I called three times the following week to complain and they never returned my calls. They call me 20 times for my business, never back when I was unhappy. I did dispute my charges since they want to assholes about it. I will never use this company ever or suggest that anyone should! I will report to the better business Bureau.

They must not need the business because they do not return phone calls or emails (Thursday, Friday, and again on Tuesday). For those in the area thinking about visiting this location, save yourself the trip because this location is simply a dispatch office and youll be redirected to call the same phone number provided here by a piece of paper stuck to the front door. I was finally able to speak with someone on Tuesday but was suggested to call back when I was home to provide an inventory of what we would be moving. When I called back about ten minutes later with the inventory, the employee (Amy) was now with a customer. A different employee (Kate) who answered the phone was not accommodating. Kate finally agreed to just have Amy give me a call back when she was done so I would not have to provide all of the information yet again. Amy never called me back. Needless to say, I will give my business to a different moving company who actually wants the business.

Absolutely zero integrity. Broke leg of antique dining chair during my mother-in-laws move...not only did they not address but they hid the chair in a box in the back of storage unit. ZERO INTEGRITY, and an owner (Susan Lanier) who does not seem to have any interest in solving the problem. When I offered that I would consider using them again if she provided a discount on the move to account for the damaged chair (as well as send someone out to see if they could possibly fix the chair)...not only did she refuse, she called it bribery! Unbelievable!! Inexperienced employees with an owner /operator who obviously has no idea what the term customer service means. ZERO effort to make customer happy!! Amazing this company is still in business. NEVER USE THEM!

Horrible company! Do not use! Worst moving experience ever. While moving my stuff into a storage, some of my items caught on fire [bizarre but true] the movers started scooping up the charred remains and dumping them without calling me or taking any pictures of the items they threw away. We had to climb in the dumpster to discover this. I lost some expensive and sentimental artworks in the fire and john at the office was not forthcoming with any sort of resolution. At the end of the day i was finally offered $500 compensation for losses totalling over $3k on a move that cost over $4k.

Totally disappointed.. Arrive 1 hr late. They started increasing the quote because they said I quoted from 1st floor to 1st floor and less inventory. Thats not true. I also quoted in competitors same inventory, and got the similar price. They re-quoted almost double, from 4.5 to 8 hours, to move 2 bedroom apt. to 15 minutes distance. Finally I didnt agree and broke the deal.. The young guys that came to move were educated and decent. Only good thing.

GREAT-They were great from start to finish. They were able to schedule us on short notice, and their crew showed up on time and ready to go as promised. They were very careful with our belongings, and got everything in to our new home in great shape. The estimate was spot on for price as well as the time expected for the move. I highly recommend them and would use them again.
