Onyx was recommended to me by a business expert from The Apple Store at Lenox mall. I needed more disk storage space and I wanted better performance on my 2009 17" macbookpro. I didnt necessarily want to buy a new computer, since my laptop is still in great condition, they dont make 17"s anymore, and I have a swank custom paint finish on it. They installed a new solid state drive in place of my old HD, and removed the dvd drive and replaced that with an additional 1TB storage disc. I also had them update the OS & transfer all my files. I was expecting some painful transitions with my Macmail (i have about 7 different email accounts) and some of my applications, but when I got my machine back, not only was it lightening fast, but all my mail boxes, settings, applications and files were in tact and performing perfectly, as if nothing had changed at all. I would recommend Onyx to anyone looking for service in the Atlanta area. Zach was tremendously kind and accommodating, and I now feel like I have a new, super-computer for about a third of the cost of buying a new laptop.

My business depends on having a Mac that operates at the highest level of efficiency and when I need to have work done to it, Onyx Consulting is the only place I will ever take it. I have been to their Decatur location in the past but the location on Northside Drive is a lot closer. The guys in the shop work quickly and efficiently to diagnose and determine the problems, provide a quote and complete the work. Unlike all the big box corporate stores that claim to have Geeks who can fix and repair any computer, Onyx Consulting has by far the most qualified and personable staff. They have a great ability to explain what the problem in a way I can understand. The quote they provided me was very fair and there were no surprises at the end when I picked up my computer the SAME DAY I dropped it off. Onyx is the only place I trust to work on my MacBook.

A fantastic experience. The professionals at Onyx exceed expectations in expertise and service. You are kept up to date regarding the status of the repair. Onyx does serve as an Apple Warranty service center, but my Warranty had expired. So, I have turned to Onyx several times for my Apple Repair. Recently my hard drive failed. I brought my mac to Onyx and the drive was replaced quickly. I had a further concern and they were more than happy to look at the drive and re-test it. While they were at it they took care of another issue I would never have found and improved my computers speed. They take their time explaining things and you come away feeling great about the experience. I use my Mac for my business and am delighted to have Onyx to count on. And I do.

One night my apple air notebook sent me a warning message that one of sites I visited sent me mole which might put all my data, password, etc. at risk. This message didn’t allow me to access anything on my computer. The next morning I googled (on my phone) for an apple computer repair, and found Onyx in Midtown, 1634 Northside Drive NW. When I got there, Yahdo Warner helped me immediately. He cleaned my computer of anything that might arm it. He was so kind, efficient, and professional. When I asked to pay he told me you’re free to go. I highly recommend Onyx consulting for any kind of problem on your computer. I’ll be going to this place undoubtedly for any future problem with my computer.

Wow ! I have to say this place was a complete surprise....in a good way. I had hear about this place but was reluctant to take my 6+ year old MacBook Pro here. However, when I got here I quickly realized this place for what is was....a hidden jewel. The staff is professional, highly competent, and very friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone that needs their Mac fixed. The speed in which my computers problem was diagnosed and repaired was perplexing. Jeffrey Wimbish was the one that tended to my concerns. Jeff for President 2020 ! lol. But in all seriousness, I was very impressed by this place and am very happy I figured out about it.

This place was amazing! I took in my macbook for some issues I had been having. The service was fast, and the person working on my computer called me several times to explain what they had found and talk to me about the problems I had been having to make sure they were doing everything they could to get it resolved. The service was great, the employees were friendly, the price was reasonable. I ended up not getting anything fixed for various reasons, but they diagnostic fee wasnt much and I was happy to pay it for the quality of service I received. Definitely found my new go to computer repair store!

I recently had my Mac laptop serviced by Champ at Onyx Consulting on Northside Drive. The service received was professional, timely, and superior compared to other Mac repair shops. Champ had a pleasant personally and was very patient explaining the details regarding my laptop issues. Given that I had to leave my laptop at the shop, he regularly kept me informed as to the status of the repairs. As a result of the exceptional service I received, Onyx Consulting is my new go to Mac service shop. No need to ever go back to the Apple store. I give Champ and Onyx Consulting 10 platinum stars.

I was told to take my ailing Mac to Onyx. I walked into a pristine workplace and immediately felt at ease. Ross, the specialist who helped me, went above and beyond by explaining my options and answering my questions. I had to go with a new hard drive and Ross actually talked me out of a more expensive one, saying it was more than I needed. I felt he was not trying to push any products. His only interest seemed to be getting my computer up and running and making sure I had the tools necessary to fit my personal and business needs. I highly recommend this company.

I had my computer fixed by Brandon who not only did and excellent job of fixing the problems I had with my Mac Book Pro, but was patient in his explanation of which part I should purchase. I appreciate this SO much. He did such an excellent job of helping me to understand what was going on in language I could understand (because I am not versed in computer repairs). I will definitely be back to this shop with any future Mac repairs and would recommend this place because of the work they provide and the customer service I received.

This place is extremely professional and friendly. I was able to get my laptop fixed in quick amount of time. The technicians did very well with keeping me informed as to what was going on with my macbook and what parts I needed. Yahdo provided excellent customer service and assisted me with all my annoying questions. I felt comfortable leaving my device with them. Great experience overall. I had a wonderful experience at Onyx Consulting. Your computer is just like your car, it is extremely important to keep it running and most of us dont know how to fix them. At Onyx you can feel comfortable talking to one of their experts. They are patient with questions and are knowledgeable with answers. Overall they are there to help you not take advantage of you. I will defiantly take my Mac Book Pro back there again, if more challenges arise.
