asked when setting up my account if there was a fee to change addresses because i would be moving in less than a month i was told there was not ( i ask specifically to know if i should wait or not) when told there was not i continued with the account. when arriving at the new house and finally recieving our bill we were charged an additional $50 activation fee which i got removed but it was a hassle and should never occured in the reps own words it was a mistake... a $50 mistake that i had my card information in ready to pay for until realizing the amount. and most recently i looked at my bill in detail to make sure that the problem was resolved to find that i have had $5 wire maintenance fee. looking further into it found that there were charges each month that i hadnt seen. i googled it to find that you had to accept the plan. (which i had not). Travers b said there was no way to refund my money after an hour of waiting i finally spoke to a supervisor i had asked for who said that i was in fact able to get a PARTIAL refund. the quality of internet is mediocre and goes in and out dont waste your time with this company. i would have give it zero stars but google requires a rating.

Worst customer service. They had three available clerks. One was with a customer having small talk. Another one on the phone. Last one just came back from break or lunch. So I just knew the last one was going to be the one who helps me. But no 15 minutes later in still in here waiting... I just want to pay my bill and leave. No one said hey I will be right with you or anything. You shouldnt have to wait 20 minutes in an empty business to get help

Other posters are saying that Charter internet is slow. In order to obtain the top speed advertised by Charter, its best to use a desktop computer with a motherboard capable of using a gigabit connection through CAT5E cable. I did it and I pegged 63 megabytes per second download on a speed test. You cant really blame the service provider if you dont understand the technology in the first place.

Bad customer service. Representatives will lie to you. The technicians will too. Lie about when they are coming to fix or replace their equipment. Keep you waiting when you have other plans or work. Useless!

Heed the warning of previous reviewers. The salesmen/employees are liars, plain and simple. The "supervisors" are even worse. Do not give your business to this company. You will most definitely regret it.

If I could rate them 0 stqrs I would.. They have the worst customer service. .You have to wait 20 minutes to pay a bill & theres only 2 ppl ahead of you.. I absolutely hate Charter all together!!

Poor speed, Use to be fast now has slowed down to the point that I can not watch you tube videos. Will be changing to AT&T if this doesnt change soon.
