After wearing through two sets of high quality SUV/Truck tires on the front-end of my Toyota Tundra Dbl Cab and hearing the same old story from the dealership service representative, Id had enough and called J&L at the recommendation of the salesman from whom I had recently purchased 4 new Michelin Cross Terrain truck tires. I was put out to find that the front-end was badly misaligned relative to all three alignment parameters. A courteous and professional technician invited me into the service bay and happily showed me the existing positions on the laser read computer system and allowed me to watch as he reset and adjusted the camber, caster and toe, each to within a minute tolerance rechecked again by the computer system. Ive been driving the truck on my new tires and new alignment for almost a month now and Im very please with the handling and overall driving feel of my truck today. Not only for alignments but for any important automotive service in the future, my first call will be to J&L Auto Service. You dont find this kind of quality, professionalism and leading edge service capabilities no matter where you go in Atlanta. J&L is my new first choice in auto service. Sincerely, Greg F

J & L is a great local business that I would not hesitate to return to or heartily recommend to anyone needing car service. They were very accommodating when I was unable to bring my car in for the first two appointments I made. When I finally was able to stop in, they listened attentively, checked out the car, and explained exactly what could be causing the issue I was having, which was likely just due to a faulty sensor with no need for any service (which our family mechanic corroborated). They very easily could have said I needed a new transmission but they were honest and told me exactly what was going on, not with jargon but not dumbed-down either, and sent me on my way with no charge. They are pleasant, honest, and I would go back to them in a second if I did have to take my car in for service.

Here is your review! Red Flag #1 Any business owner, manager or worker that takes time to talk down about another business is well worth keeping an eye on! Red Flag #2 Any professional who behaves like a jerk speaking in technical terms to a potential client is well worth avoiding. Spouting off your book knowledge and technical terms does not impress, what impresses is whether or not you can get the job done! RedFlag #3 Why would I pay you $95 dollars for a "diagnostic" when I can have one done for free there are dozens of coupons in the mail. and Lastly, RedFlag #4 Directing me to google to read "your reviews" holds no value, I can certainly round up 16 friends to write ALL positive reviews!! Feedback: learn some basic customer service/ people skills Mr. Manager!

If youre seeking an auto repair shop that epitomizes honesty, reliability and talent, J&L Auto Service is where you want to take your vehicle. Gabe and his team there have been a breath of fresh air to work with. These guys are highly skilled and knowledge mechanics who are able to service virtually any automobile there is. We at Merlin Auto Group are very selective about who we trust with the vehicles offer for sale. It did not take very long for us to recognize the value of having a relationship with J&L. Our experiences thus far have been positive 100% of the time which solidifies the truth that servicing cars does not have to be the challenging process that it can quickly become in the wrong hands.

I took my car in to J & L after the mechanic at Discount Tire discovered a big alignment issue when replacing tires. Shad, the manager was very helpful and clear when explaining what was wrong with my car-he even printed out the computers diagnosis of the problem and gave me a copy. They didnt try to upsell me or "suggest" additional services. They were straightforward with the price and ordered the bolt kit I needed on the spot from a place down the road and had it delivered and installed within 45 minutes. Im thankful Ive found them and will return when I need to. They are dependable, fast, and completely customer-oriented. Dont waste your time going anywhere else.

We have been going to J&L for several years now. Its hard to find a mechanic you can trust--someone who will do an excellent job and not try to upsell you at every turn. J&L is that place. Everyone there is very friendly, honest, and skilled at what they do. You can trust that they will do the work well the first time and take the time to truly diagnose an issue, as opposed to replacing things willy nilly until they get the right one. They will also take the time to explain to you exactly what is going on with your car and what needs to be done, as well as what can wait. Highly recommended!

I have lived in several different areas of the country and always tried to find a good car repair shop in each city. None compare to J&L Auto Service. Fantastic customer service, extremely competitive pricing, easy to schedule appointments, and the work done has always exceeded my expectations. I write this fearing that they will get flooded with business and I will have difficulty getting an appointment! However, superior customer service and high quality work deserve recognition. I have had all of my automotive repairs and preventive maintenance performed by J&L for over 35 years. I have dealt with Randy, Gabe and Shad during all those years. I have found them to be expert mechanics, fair priced and provide excellent Service. One time while performing some preventive maintenance on one of my cars their mechanic found a $20 dollar bill in the back of the car. They put it on the front seat so I would see it when I picked the car up. Quality people and very honest!

I trust J & L with my vehicles, they are honest and will let me know whether or not something should be done to repair them. Im glad my Dad, Gerry, referred me to them. Gabe and everyone there are professional and friendly. I allow only J & L to do the alignments to my new truck! Brought my 1966 Mustang into J & L to have the AC brought back to life as well as rebuild my engine (had bad blow-by). They did a great job, and I will definitely be coming back for future work on my car. 6/19/2014 Since my initial review (above), J&L has upgraded my 66 Mustang drum brakes to disc (2013). This year, they upgraded my carb from a 2bbl to a 4bbl (big difference in performance). As always, they do great work, and I will continue to bring my baby to them.

My husband Michael brought our Nissan van in, and J&L corrected an issue that even the dealership was hesitant to assist with. J&L talked with him abut the issue, how the part worked, and was completely transparent about the entire process. The work was done in an 90 minutes, and while waiting, Michael had a fun conversation with Shad about some of the cool cars they take care of in the shop (GT40). Hard to find honest and friendly service...these guys epitomize it!
