I would like to report racial bias by your postal carriers in 30135 area. I run a business from my home and I never seem to get my packages that require a signature delivered to my door and this has been going on for more than a year now. I am at home most of the time so I know when the mail person is in the area. The postal carriers will leave a notice in my mail box instead of getting out of his or her truck to knock on my door and this has occurred on many occasions and I believe the problem is with my race. I know the procedure when it comes to certified and registered mail but when it comes to my address those procedures are not being followed also I have noticed that your postal workers don’t seem to have a problem providing full service to my white neighbors but when it comes to the black people in this zip code it’s a different story. All of you carriers both black and white are guilty of racial bias toward your black and brown customers. I believe that unconscious bias is at work here this is a byproduct of white racism and its effect on the way minority Americans are treated in American society. White Americans are usually given better customer service by both white and black representatives than their brown counterparts. Douglasville and Ferguson Mo share many similarities when it comes to a drastic shift in demographics and it shows in this case. I WANT THIS RACIST PRACTICE TO STOP IMMEDIATELY!

This is in response to Craig Williams....What in the world are you talking about? Just because you are home most of the time, doesnt mean you are home when the carrier actually gets there. Here is a list of things not to do when you are expecting a registered, certified, or express delivery that needs to be signed.... DO NOT take a shower during the day, you cant hear the door. DO NOT listen to loud music, you cant hear the door. DO NOT take you dog for a walk, you are not there to answer door. DO NOT fall asleep, you cant hear the door. DO NOT leave the house to run an errand, you are NOT home. DO NOT be in the basement, you cant hear the door. DO NOT hang out in the back yard, you cant hear the door. DO NOT have vehicles or obstacles blocking driveway or mailbox. THERE ARE MANY MORE BUT I THINK YOU GET IT NOW. Race has nothing to do with it. It sounds like you have problems with something else in your life that you may need to talk to someone about. Racism only exists when you bring it up as an excuse for you not being where youre suppose to be during the day. Just a friendly reminder, be nice to the postal worker and they will probably more likely than not be nice right back to you.

Worst post office Ive ever dealt with. Was having a problem with packages being marked delivered on a Saturday in tracking, looked all around my property thinking they might be in a bush or something only to have the actually delivered the following Monday. During Christmas time they changed the mail pick up time to 8am without telling anyone. Now I mailed a cc bill via the post office indoor drop box on a Thursday and it was delivered to my home on a Saturday instead. Bill was due on Monday. Spoke with the manager and she could care less. This is why youre becoming irrelevant! The workers cant even do their job and management just covers their asses!

The service is awful and the staff is rude beyond belief. I understand that Monday morning isnt the most pleasant day to be at the Post Office but after waiting in line for 15 minutes, it would be nice to at least be greeted by the Post Office employee. I walk up and the look of disgust on my the ladies face was down right RUDE. GOOD MORNING right back at you!!! I will drive to another town next time I need to send a package. What was I thinking? I should have known better from this awful town we call Douglasville, GA.

Worst service I have ever experienced with the United States Postal Service makes me extremely mad when we walk in with a ticket from the mail carrier delivering and you take it to the post office and they tell you theyre too busy to locate your package come back at a later time very upset with the Douglasville department if I had my way none of the employees would have a job but hey I dont work for the United States postal one particular person told me to shut my mouth very unhappy

Said they attempted a delivery and left a receipt, but I was home all day and they did not (there also was no "notice" left, contrary to what the website says). The customer service "automated" line is absolutely ZERO help and there is no way to reach a live person and the post office itself apparently takes their phone off the hook all day as I tried calling for three hours and it rang busy the entire time. WORST SERVICE EVER. ZERO Stars.

The wait is always forever. Always. And some of the staff typically doesnt have the best attitude if you need help. The self postage machine has to be hit pretty hard to get the stamps to come out. However, they do have a good selection of packaging for gifts and the like. And I have had a good experience with a select few staff members.

Today I put a bill in the mailbox and put the flag up. I see that the flag is still up AFTER the mail carrier has been here. I open the mail box and there is new mail ON TOP OF THE BILL I put in there. NOT acceptable. This is not the first time Ive had problems with the carriers not taking bills from the mailbox.

You can never get in touch with them like other offices, they just refuse to answer the damn phone. And they deliver packages 3 or 4 days late sometimes over a week and when your business expects it to be on time. And Ive had them say out for delivery and after a day or 2 it says status not updated.... Complete BS.

Its a post office, a government job. The self serve section is great except you cant put the boxes together without tape and depending on who you is wether you get tape or not. The check out counter is run mostly by nice people who are just in no hurry even if you are.

Worst post office ever. Employees have a horrible attitude, act as if they hate their job, and take it out on the customers. This is not a one time event, it has happened multiple times. One lady actually huffed and rolled her eyes at me because I asked for a receipt.

My mail is opened by someone there and I have complained. Nothing ever gets done about it. Im afraid to have items mailed to me of value because they may get stolen. Going inside the post office some people are friendly but a couple are clueless.

If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible service. The mail carrier says she attempted deliveries we she did not. We are constantly getting our neighbors mail.

My mail is frequently delivered to neighbors. A package was recectly delivered one street over. Its become ridiculous.
