First time I went there just for a tune up and they told me I needed extra work. Cant actually remember the details on that one, but as youll find out in the rest of my description my suspicions of something fishy rose. A few months after that visit, my engine failed and I had to get my car towed to a mom and pop mechanic shop. The mechanic there freaked out, because the problem with my car was not a problem thats supposed to happen ever with a car. He believed whoever worked on my car before messed with it. Despite my better judgement, I returned to said Pep Boys a few years later, after getting a new car, and same scenario popped up. This was about a year ago. They said my transmission needed replacing and the moron who works at this place even told me that my engine could fall out on the road if I didnt get it. I held off this time and got my car back and quickly took it to another mechanic, who told me nothing was wrong with the transmission. Ive been driving this car for another year (~20,000 miles) and my engine hasnt fallen out yet, or even broken down for that matter. I caught these crooks in their lie this time and will never return to another Pep Boys again as long as I live and recommend anybody reading this to do the same. Dont fall for their cheap "regular" services, before you know it theyll try to lure you into some other "necessary" work that your car definitely doesnt need not to mention any sabotage they might pull. Beware!

I went in to get a wheel baring replaced. The initial person I came in contact with was polite and directed me to the service counter. The guy at the service counter kind of just stood there as I approached while he continued to look at the screen in front of him. I spoke and he just asked how could he help me. I told him I needed to get a rear wheel baring replaced. He started making faces twisting his head side to side then asked "how do you know its the wheel baring" as if I dont know MY car. I explained that I was told before that it was going bad. He continued with the faces and asked another question that I cant remember because by then I was not interested in having my car serviced here. He gave me a quote. I thanked him and left. While I was in the parking lot I called Fire Stone. The guy that answered was courteous and told me to come on in. Long story short, I spent $80 more than I was quoted at Pep Boys but the customer service that I received at Fire Stone was well worth it. If you like poor customer service this is def the place for you. I am sure Fire Stone thanks them for sending them another new customer.

Horrible service. Most people in the area just pay and dont care! Its sad. The more they charge the more the managers get! Etc. they told me themselves. They will fix your car so you can drive it and if more problems come about they will charge you for a whole engine. Even the employees working in the shop were complaining to me about that. That said dont come here. I have made several calls to corporate and that are not nice at all. Just collecting a pay check. Sad very sad to take advantage of a community like ours.

Bill and Scott are great service managers. Bill called and explained everything wrong on the vehicle before fixing and was definitely not a pushy sales person.
