I do a fair bit of my own wrenching and am no stranger to the underside of my car. I am very proud and protective of the efforts I undertake to make my vehicle my own, to maintain and modify it, and to not break the bank in the process. When there is a job that I do not feel comfortable with or do not have time to complete, I take my car to Mike. I have done business with him for three years. He runs an honest shop that does not try to stick you with exorbitant b/s services like fuel injector cleaning fuel additives or power steering fluid and engine coolant flushes unless you actually need those things. Nor does he attempt to tack on additional labor for jobs that require little effort on their part, and will gladly investigate any problem you have before it becomes a catastrophe, usually as a courtesy. I have sent scores of friends to Holdens when I cant help with their work in my own garage, and not once have I heard a complaint. Quite the contrary, Mike and the guys at Holden never disappoint, will always offer their customer a way to save on parts or labor, and are always at the ready to answer questions and explain work in a way that both serious DIYers and average Joes can undertsand. Most importantly though, Mike respects that I like to do my own work, respects that the car is my baby, and treats me as an equal and not like bunch of dollar signs driving a money pit.

Great experience at Holdens. Mike Holden did great work and was a very honest mechanic. I was told by another mechanic that both of my front wheel bearings were most likely bad, but they couldnt be sure until it got worse. He checked both and said that only one was going bad - he could have easily scammed me and told me I needed both so my price was doubled. I was very impressed with this and the quality of his work. I called around before choosing a mechanic for quotes, and he wasnt the lowest but he wasnt the highest either; and hey, the price was fair. On another note, I had an alignment done at Pep Boys a year ago. My car still pulled to the right after the alignment so I took it to another Pep Boys location to have it redone. This did not resolve the problem. Holden Automotive did an alignment and magically, my car drives straight again!! Id rather pay a few dollars more to know Im really being taken care of - my family will continue to use Holdens for all of our car repairs going forward.

From Michael Plante - I meant to write this sooner, but better late than never...back in April, I had a problem with my 2001 toyota 4runner transmission. Hard shifts, and I was sure it was toast. The last thing I needed was a $3800 transmission repair, and I took the vehicle to Holden, who has done work for me on both of my automobiles. Mike looked at the trans, and told me that there was one option, short of a new transmission, and that was to do a flush. He knows these 4runners, and I told him to give it a shot. So, here we are, almost 3 months later, and the trans is still holding up, and I escaped with only the $225 bill for the flush. No more hard shifts, and I get back and forth to work every day, as planned. Thanks for the save Holden Automotive!!!

I bought some truck tires and had Walmart mount and balance them. I had to go back 3 times to get them rebalanced and they still werent balanced correctly. I read online that Holdens Automotive has an Roadforce tire balancer. The Roadforce balancer is supposed to be the best tire balancer out, so I decided to go to Holdens. It only took Holdens 1 try to get the tires perfectly balanced. My truck now rides like a Cadillac. Holdens service was fast, professional, and reasonably priced. I will definitely use Holdens Automotive for my future repairs.

Have taken 3 different vehicles to Holdens. Each time they did only the work necessary and at a reasonable price. Was told by a dealer that my 11-year-old car would need $2,200 in repairs immediately. Holdens was able to break the job down into four sections and made the two largest repairs for less than 1/2 that amount, which allowed me to make the other repairs at a later date as they were not a threat to the car continuing to operate effectively. Friendly, fair and honest with their customers. I will continue to take all my vehicles to them.

Mike has taken care of all of my families cars for years(10 cars at least). I have known Mike for a long time and three of the best words to describe are honest, fair, and dependable. He will tell you everything that needs to be done and if it needs to be done right away. He gives you a fair price and you do not need to worry if the work is done right. I would recommend Mike and his guys to anyone and you will never have to worry about being taken advantage of. As honest as the day is long. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

Who likes taking their car back five different times under the warranty. Nobody thats who I have worked for rip-off company or if they didnt like how you were running off at the mouth they invented something to fix charging hundreds of dollars and never doing anything. This is one of those places dont trust him go somewhere else you should not have to keep taking your vehicle back over and over and over and over and over and then be lied to over and over and over

So far, so good. Only one day now, so a little early to really judge on the service performed. Only time will tell. RE, the shop: The shop was clean and neat (which indicates professionalism and competence), the staff seemed competent and the work was performed in less time than I was expecting, and Mike, the owner, seemed honest and knowledgeable. This shop was recommended to me, and so far, I would definitely recommend to others.

Mike Holden is amazing. Ive had some horrible experiences in the past with mechanics and I can tell you as a woman I never felt mislead taking my vehicle to Mike to be serviced. Very trustworthy and honest. My vehicle had some major issues from a previous mechanic and Mike and his crew fixed my car and it feels brand new again. Very highly recommended! Thank you Mike & your amazing staff.

Other shops will quote you less, but they call with other probs (every time) and when you pick it up its double what you thought. These guys are always close to the original quote. I appreciate that. A 150 brake job is a 150 brake job. Mike has good mechanics. Family business.

Mike was so very nice, and my old van runs like new!! He fixed the problems instead of treating only symptoms!! I would bet he could have his Ph.D. In automotive repair if that was an actual title! I wish I could give 10 stars.
