I was a automotive technician for 21yrs until I decided to wash my hands and become a corporate-type in the gears of the corporate machine. Why is this important Andy? Well, if any of you know an automotive technician personally, youll know that is physically pains us/them to pay another human being to work on their cars. That being said, I only have limited space and time these days to do certain tasks on my own vehicles. I researched the intarwebs far and wide to find people I trust to work on my vehicle, which is tough because we know how the business works, inside and out. I know the tricks of the trade that the auto-repair-business is infamous for, which meant avoiding the giant tire stores of late. Since the auto dealer I worked for is quite a drive, and some contempt still exists from my departure, I avoided them as well. From all my research, I found Christian Brothers with excellent reviews, clean shop, professionally dressed folks, and only a few bothersome negative reviews (here and the Googles). I decided to give these guys a try, and they did not disappoint. Clear, concise, and honest reviews of repairs made/needed all at standard prices. There was a little window for me to remind me of those "days of old" when I would be the one doing that job. Alas, my tooth on the corporate gear has earned my fingernails a cleaner grasp from the waiting room (my hands are softer too ;) Yeah, its sad that I cant do alignments like I used to, but its not for trying. Most people just cant afford a $200k machine in their toolbox. If I am to pay for repairs, then I would gladly do it again with these folks. I could hear the trust from the other customers that were there at the same time. Perfect experience indeed.

Our experience with Christian Bros. in Suwanee was a true nightmare. Our Jaguar was taken in because it needed a new battery. Christian Bros. said they would replace the battery and check to make sure that no accessories were draining the battery (battery replacement was $301.98 total after diagnostic fee). When we picked it up Jack at Christian Bros. went out of his way to bring up that the car smelled of gas during their test drive but it was most likely just flooded and there was no concern. They did not even look into the fact that the car smelled strongly of gas! Rather, they let my wife get in and drive away. She ran her errand which, thankfully was just around the corner, and left the car running to enter a business to pick something up. Workers in the suite next to where was came rushing inside for her and said that the car was pouring out smoke and gasoline was leaking out profusely - it had already created about a 4 diameter puddle. They told her she needed to come out immediately, shut the car off...and then they told her to back away from it. Christian Bros. had the car towed back to them. As this was a Friday at 4:00pm, they told us they could do nothing until Monday. On Monday they called and told us that they left a fitting on the on the fuel line loose and that it was now fixed. When I showed up they offered apologies for the inconvenience - nothing else. I went over and started the car - which still reeked of gas. They told me it was left over smell from Fridays problem. After all this they hadnt even taken a small step to air out the car so we had to drive it home with the windows down in 29 degree January weather - something I just spent an hour doing. It was a true nightmare experience!

Im an educated consumer and will state emphatically these are honest and knowledgeable mechanics. Are they the cheapest? No and thats a good thing as I dont want discount auto parts in a vehicle I hope to keep for 200K miles. I want the best OEM or OEM replacement parts for reliability. Not some knock off made in China and sold at the corner parts retailer by a clerk on commission. Weve all walked into a discount auto parts retailer to be asked "Were having a special on Lucas FI cleaner/shop rags/anything I can sell you for a perk check - wanna buy some" at the check-out counter. You get what you pay for. Additionally 95% of backyard mechanics will not have factory service manuals or diagnostic equipment hence their claim of "I saved a million $$$" is dubious at best. They likely just put a band aid on whatever their problem was without a thorough repair. This is something some other reviewers FAILED to mention. Ive used CB Suwanee for almost ten years. Ive only had one defective part of which they replaced without question. Once I was convinced I needed a brake job to the tune of $400. I received a call after inspection only to be told none was needed. They could have ripped me off. Instead, no charge whatsoever. Ive found them to be an outstandingly reliable and affordable alternative to dealership service.

I spoke to Walt on Monday afternoon, today is Wednesday he told me on Monday that a no start diagnosis was only $52, if needed more information, then it would be $104. I had my vehicle towed there and of course now its $104 without even looking at it. I asked him what does he check during the diagnosis and said we only check whats making the car not start now, not anything further. I asked what about if theres something wrong with the starter besides another issue and he said he would charge more just to look at it, mind you that the original $52 was to diagnose the starter during their no start diagnosis. So, basically lied told me that he doesnt even remember talking to me, which is quite strange! How many people call and tell you that they are going to have there car towed there, its not a normal estimate call. Anyways, I hope that they end up checking more parts than they said to try to keep me as a customer, because I could of had a THOROUGH check at the dealer for only $125 and Walt made it seem like the dealer would do the same and only check what he finds thats not making it start and not a thorough one.

I was a loyal customer of CB Suwanee for over 10 years before moving out of state. Ive always found them very honest and the service excellent on all levels. On multiple occasions I had brake concerns on different vehicles. After taking my vehicle to them they diagnosed it as safe and no repairs needed. Most shops would have taken my money and ran. This is a sophisticated shop with dealership level service (or greater) but with better technicians and no up selling or games. You can always find someone cheaper but rarely does that equate to better. In a decade of service I only had one installed part fail (a heater motor/blower). It was covered under their warranty with NO questions asked at NO cost (this is why they only install their parts - this is normal for reputable shops). Not only was work quality superb, theyre very friendly and follow up/through is excellent. Update calls are the norm. Walt has been my go to person for many years. Ask for him. While I now live several hours away I will have my car(s) towed (thanks AAA!) to them for any serious repairs.

Christian Bros Braselton Rd was horrible! Im not novice by any means so I took my wifes SUV and they told me that it was $99 to diagnose. I agreed. Later they call me and tell me its control valves and the cost is $420 something. I tell them to get me the quote. I call my friend at Ford and he tells me theres no such thing for my engine. I tell him the problem and he says they must mean cellenoid (misspell Im sure) that of which whose parts are 1/2 less. I lost my confidence with them and decided to move it to pep boys. GUESS WHAT! Oil level was low, they changed the oil and the problem went away. $70. So I gave non Christian Brothers $100 to misdiagnose my truck and waste a full day of my time. Obviously, a rip off at this location. They are only as good as their people and it seems theres an issue with their tech and Jeff at the front. Tech doesnt know what hes talking about and Jeff has no knowledge base and depends 100% on his misinformation. David
