DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!!!!! Im the kind of person who looks at reviews before i go anywhere. I had originally looked at Mikes reviews and thought, okay, this could be a decent place. Boy was I wrong. So, I took my truck in for a valve adjustment. The morning before I took the vehicle to this shop I drove the truck up the driveway and got it put on to the tow truck. After dropping it off at the shop, two days later I get a call saying that the starter on my truck just "exploded"..?? and that i needed a new one to get the job I had originally wanted, done. Then he tried to sell me a starter, parts and labor, for $325, then said he could do a re-manufactured starter for $250 parts and labor. Which both prices are VERY high. When i tried to question the reasoning behind the starter removal, which was not approved by me, he told me "no offence but youre not a mechanic" and started accusing me of calling him a liar, and Charged me $85 dollars in labor for getting nothing i had originally wanted done and only making my truck worse then when it arrived. He also removed the slave cylinder without telling anyone so when the tow truck driver came to pick up the truck, he pressed the clutch and couldnt get it to depress because it was just hanging under the truck. Im not a mechanic, but last time i checked, the starter and slave cylinder are no where near the valves and if he couldnt get the truck to start like he said, he should have called before doing ANYTHING! This right here is a perfect example of a shop trying to rip someone off for the sake of making a few extra bucks. It is a scam and they will not hesitate to mess you over. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.

I needed a diagnosis on my car and wrote down the issues I was having. Mike told me it was going to be $55 while other places were almost double that. I dropped the car off and there was no communication. It seemed like I was the one having to call them and not the other way around every so many days. He said he would call me on certain days but never did. I got my car out of there after almost 2 weeks later because estimate seemed very high overall and I didnt know what they were doing to it for that long. I ended up paying about $120 after it was said and done because they had to drive it multiple times to diagnose it. What happened to the original $55 diagnosis? I wanted the estimate on paper and the lady up front said she didnt have one yet but could email it to me later that day. She never sent me the estimate and I called several days later and asked Mike for one but it never happened. All I wanted to see was the cost of parts vs labor on the estimate as there were multiple things that needed to be fixed. How can a business survive without communication to its customers and performing what the customers have asked for. I have never been to a mechanic shop like this that has had such horrible communication. It seemed like a bunch of empty promises. I will never be going back there again!

Taking another of our vehicles to Mike today! Mike is the BEST! We use the Holly Springs location and Mike is always honest and reliable. We go ONLY to Mike with our family vehicles. ALL of my business will come here now, and Im telling ALL of my friends to come here. After dealing with a national chain, well call them "Radials PLUS", I was told that a lot of brake work needed to be done on my van. The quote I received was over $1400. I found out after reading this quote that I was being charged 150% more than the cost of parts. Now, I know garages need to make money on parts they buy/sell but lets be realistic here. I was able to bring in MY OWN PARTS, that I purchased new and have Mike do the work. It was done quickly and for an excellent price. Mike the Mechanic saved me nearly $1000! Ill be driving here from now on for everything, even my oil changes. What convinced me to come here in the first place was when Mike asked me, over the phone, "What can I do to EARN your business?" You dont here that very often nowadays. Its nice to know that in my 30+ years of being a Cherokee County resident, someone actually cares about customer service.

LIAR, THIEF & BLACKMAILER! Mikes staff told me he wrote his own positive review because there are so many bad ones. I was visiting Woodstock and needed my brakes done. I have annual service on my car in Florida, so I know what it doesnt need. After they did the brakes, they charged me twice what was quoted and did things I did not authorize. Additionally they told me my transmission was going to fail and had to be replaced before I drove it again. I called the dealer who services my car and he said that was a ridiculous scam! Mike had already started to take it apart without my approval and charged me to reassemble. Even worse, I heard Mike talking to a staff member about how he planned to blackmail some guy to get out of paying a bill for the work that was done for him! I hope the guy that got blackmailed sues the pants off of Mike the Liar! Wish I knew his name so I could have warned him about this loser.

Ive used Mike the Mechanic 3 times for different issues. I found them to be honest, fairly priced and worthy of my respect. They will continue to be my first choice for my auto issues, big or small. I feel they have the knowledge to identify troubles and the skill to make needed repairs. I also trust them. I have had them tell me "nothing is wrong, no repair needed." They will not invent issues, not even minor ones just so they have a billable service.

Mike is a dedicated, honest mechanic! I rarely take my care to a shop since my husband is a mechanic, but when he hasnt have the time to do a difficult repair, the only place I have taken my car was to MTM. Not only can you trust these guys, but they maintain a very clean shop and strive to adhere to environmental regulations and even go above a beyond.

My trucks engine went out and I had to have a whole new one installed. Mike did great work with the new engine installation! He was very thorough and keep me posted on the work the whole way. Once the work was complete he continued to follow up with me any the truck! Very good work and I highly recommend him for any of your vehicle maintenance.
