Im going to write this review because most of the incompetent people who are writing the reviews below are bashing the US Mail system and NOT the actual post office of which these reviews are supposed to be directed. With that being said this post office s probably the best one I walk into. Every time my wife and I go in we are helped by this guy named Andy. Andy is probably the one person that I have seen in a US federal run business that is not a person who lacks customer service skills. He is always cheerful, gives excellent service, and wishes you a good day every time. If they hired more people like Andy in places like the DMV, post office, SSA office, I would look forward more to going. Any time I walk into these places, everyone talks to you like YOUR the incompetent one, hate their job, have no customer service skills, and ruin your day. Not Andy. He single-handedly makes this place a pleasant experience and I always go to this particular office because the one down the street from my house meets and unfortunately exceeds all the above criteria mentioned. Keep up the good work Andy, the government needs more of quality workers like you. PS for reviewers below: Also if you are having issues with returned mail, or cash not being delivered, then you should 1st maybe not have cash or checks sent by US Mail and maybe adapt to the day and age of which we now do things ELECTRONICALLY, secondly if the object being delivered is sensitive enough in which it needs to be signed off on or should maybe be sent by UPS or FEDEX, then do so. A lot of these parcels are returned for YOUR protection and a lot of these condos and appt complexes do not give out a master code or key for the mail carrier to enter the premises. They have other mail to be delivered in a timely fashion and have no time to worry about when your not home 75% of the time to receive a package. Once again adapt or give the carrier the code. For the record I do not work the government or USPS.

Just to give everyone LOCAL an idea of how badly this business runs. Long story short, my local carrier who made a delivery out of this exact facility, ends up "misdelivering" a package of mine to a different address. I also received the confirmation of the "misdelivery" from the local area 2 supervisor when I had called. Basically what ended up happening is that the USPS folks were quick to realize that my package was from Amazon (you can tell by the box) and so they urged me to contact Amazon directly for a request of refund. This is already bad business that a company is telling you to contact another company to cover for their own faults. Can you imagine if it were personal goods that were being shipped? In summary, Amazon was quick to help me in finding the right solution but USPS on the other hand, not so much.

I have nothing good to say about our federal post office. Most of the federal employees are nothing but a bunch of lazy individuals who seem to be tired of what they do. Ive had several items lost in the past and today I have a delivery that was left at my front door when there is a sign that clearly states "deliveries are to be left at the back" . If they are unable to leave the delivery at the back door then at least have the courtesy to ring the doorbell or knock, which I am at home and they did not . If the post office is to be in service then the federal government should do something about hiring competent individuals who care about what they do. But then I guess that would be too much work for them. Our federal post office really sucks!

This is the worst place to get mail delivered from!! I ordered save the dates for my wedding and they were being sent USPS out of bridgeview so I checked online and it said it was delivered. Got home, no package. Turns out they delivered it to the wrong house and when someone who lived there wrote in big black letter WRONG ADDRESS it sat there for another week until the resident drove to my house to drop it off!! Trying to talk to someone on the phone is impossible!! I just placed an online order for something else and it said that the package couldnt be delivered because the postal carrier didnt have access to my home?! Well then how did I my fiancé still get his mail??? This freaking place sucks!!

In the last month I have had three letters with cash in them and one with a paycheck never get delivered to my address. They total over$600. Somehow my junk mail is delivered without issue but anything that has money does not. I went to the office to report the situation but of course the manager was unavailable and I was told they would call me. Three days later I received a call but I was working so I asked if I could call them back. The phone numbers are all disconnected and I havent received another call back from them. I am now contacting the postmaster in hope that maybe they will find out the cause. I assume its theft but will be updating this post when I find out. Pretty sad.

My carrier works out of this office. Missed a scheduled pick up two days in a row this week. Spent 40 minutes on the phone yesterday to raise a complaint. Supervisor called today from that office and assured me my items would be picked up today 09-26-2017, they were not. Now spending another 50 minutes on phone with USPS. Meanwhile, my 3 Priority mail packages have been delayed 48 hours due to negligence with my carrier and this supervisor that called me back today. Rick Goldschmidt RANKIN/BASS Biographer/Historian

This post office is garbage. I have had 3 packages returned to sender because "address was undeliverable" I live in a condo with 12 other units and have had no problem receiving any other mail except my freaking packages. I am beyond disgusted with their service. The number for them is a lie it doesnt call the location but a call center who gives you the exact same number. Clearly these employees are fully incompetent when it comes to the basic is of reading a name and dropping mail.

A Five star service for years, recent bid cost us two of the best Letter Carriers ever. Complaints fall on deaf ears, carrier now only delivers packages that fit into a mailbox, leaves notices for all others even if residents are home. Being a career employee, ashamed to admit UPS has to deliver my large parcels because I have a business dependent on timely deliveries. Two thumbs down, and thats because I only have two of them.
