I was involved in an accident where major repair work was needed. I scheduled my appointment with B&L to bring my car in the following week. The day after I scheduled my appointment, crazy enough my car got broken into and the passenger side glass was shattered. Very upset, I called back B&L to see if they could possibly get me in sooner. Without hesitation - after expressing their apologies about my latest situation - they told me to bring my car in right away. I was so relieved and appreciative that they cared about my situation, told me not to worry and said they will take great care of me. And did they ever! When I took my car in the next morning, Gino (one of the owners) looked at my car and gave me his assurance that my car – which was in need of a great deal of body repair - would look like new. My car had taken quite a beating from the accident and from having to park on the street, so I really didn’t think that was possible. Pete & Kim, the other co-owners, were so kind and took time to introduce themselves to me as well. I really felt like I took my car to the right place. Kimmie, the office manager, handled all of the paperwork and coordinated my rental car pick-up & delivery with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I didn’t have to do a thing. And she was so pleasant an accommodating. During the time my car was in the shop, I received frequent repair status update calls from Agata and Kimmie letting me know what stage my car repairs were in. The level of communication, friendliness and service at this point was phenomenal. It gets better. Only 10 days later, on a Friday, I get a call from Agata saying my car was ready. I couldn’t believe it. The work wasn’t supposed to be completed for three weeks. I was excited but told them I couldn’t get there from my downtown office until 6pm (they close at 5:00pm). They said they would wait for me and insisted it was not going to be an inconvenience. So I arrive at B&L at just before 6p and my car is waiting for me in their customer parking lot. There it was, shined & waxed, absolutely perfect! I walked around the car it seemed like 10 times. It really was perfect. Then I got inside my car…. They did a complete detail and even shampooed the carpet! My car was truly brand new inside and out! I couldn’t wait to drive it. Pete & Gino were there with me as I gushed and insisted I get pictures with the both of them so I can put them on my Facebook page. What they did for me was ‘that’ special. I met with Kimmie to complete the repair paperwork (she was still there after 6pm!) and then Pete came over and gave me a gift bag with some really cool stuff in it. What a great touch! I would unequivocally recommend B&L to anyone who has Collision Repair needs. They do amazing body repair work (they have a Lifetime Warranty) and have people who provide superior communication and customer service. Love these guys!!!! Thank you B&L!

So I just had service done here because of a a little accident with our our front bumper/fender and the garage. It was too much damage just too leave alone but not enough to replace the whole front bumper. Plus lets face it living in Chicago no point in getting bumpers fixed as it will get dinged the next week. I got a few quotes and B&L were not the most expensive nor the cheapest. I had Brian provide me the quote for both a full replacement and a fix. I decided to go with the fix vs replacement and the bumper look like new! I am pretty particular with my car service and quality (not stupid but want affordable, quality service & luckily I have friends in the business to run things by to determine if I am being ripped off or not). What I liked: 1. The quote was fair and in line with what it should have cost (I double check EVERYTHING). 2. Brian was extremely polite and helpful. Very professional. 3. I dropped it off the day i got the quote (Monday) and it was ready by Wednesday. 4. They did a $80-$100 detail job on my car, which included an inside and outside clean up & touch up paint for dings etc. The inside of the car was horrendous from this past winter and I was going to get it detailed anyway but now I do not have to. It was cleaner than I would have ever expected and really nice of them to do. 5. He pointed out a spot on the bumper that was cracked. I did not ask him to work on it and they touched it up. 6. I looked at the seams of how the bumper was attached. Sometimes body shops are sloppy with the tolerances and B&L put the bumper on back to factory condition. 7. CarWise. That is just my techno-geek. Follow repairs on the phone? Yes please. What I did not like about my experience? 1. Well this is going to sound pretty crazy but I have no complaints, not even minor ones. I try to be pretty objective. As always though I read 5, 2 & 1 star reviews (I suggest you do the same). I always get different quotes too (have to be smart). It gives me a pretty good idea of what my experience will be like. I hope I do not have to get any more body work completed but if I do I know where to go. Great Job B&L!!!!! Amit

When I drove my poor, sad, damaged old car to B & L, I was on the verge of tears when I explained to the workers that someone had smashed my front bumper cover off while my car was parked on the street near my apartment. Of course no one left a note and my insurance was not going to cover a dime. Lovely, just fabulous. My bumper cover was dragging so far down that it couldnt be driven without a silly rigging system my boyfriend and I did just to keep it from scraping the road while en route to B & L. After telling my story to the workers, they told me not to worry and to just go inside, warm up and have a cup of coffee if I wanted. I was anticipating having to spend a few hundred dollars just to get a decent patch-up job done. They told me that we had 2 options: to do a patch-up and reattach the current bumper cover, which had a few scrapes but was still functional, or to buy a new bumper cover, paint it, and attach it. I opted for the first because hey, my car is old and its just not worth it to buy a new bumper cover and go through the whole shebang. About 10 minutes later, the repairman came back inside and said "Well, as much as we liked the job you did (my bright yellow rope rigging system), we think youll like this even better." I went outside and couldnt believe my eyes: my car looked awesome! Theyd driven bolts up through the bumper cover and patched it up so nicely that you had to look closely to note the damage. And when I asked how much I owed, they said I didnt owe them a cent. Zip, zero, nada. Can you believe that? I hugged the repairman and, with tremendous relief, drove my car back home. On the way back I actually did cry, but this time it was because I couldnt even believe there are still such caring people in the world. OK, now I sound like an emotional wreck. No worries, Im not. ;-) B & L, I am eternally grateful for your help, and Im telling everyone I know to come to you in their time of need like I did in mine. Thank you so, so much! Im bringing baked goods this week as a small token of appreciation. You guys are the BEST!
