2 reviews 1.0 star rating 6/18/2016 update 6/20 - I just leased a unit from Extra Space Storage right accross the road that is twice the size for less than I was paying here. Extra Space storage has almost 50 5-star reviews! Dont go to Next Door! Extra Space prides themselves on good customer service and is less expensive when you book online. 6/18 - I was having difficulty remembering my access code, I had left my card in my other vehicle. I thought the place was closed and I was trying differenct codes seeing if I could remember it. I couldnt remember it so I pulled back and parked in front of the building for a while looking for anything with my unit number written on it. I tried calling my husband but he didnt answer. I thought Id try it one more way so I pulled up again. This whole process I was probably sitting out there for ten minutes clearly having trouble getting in. A large (and apparently angry) woman finally opened the window and screeched at me that I would have to come inside. I smiled at the woman inside and tried to tell her how glad I was that she was there because I couldnt remember my unit number. She immediately interrupted me, and in a hostile tone informed me that I couldnt keep putting in incorrect codes or I would crash their entire system. The rest of the conversation followed along these lines; Our conversation was longer, but she was extremely rude to me throughout. -Me Thats weird. -Angry woman, expressionless "Whats weird?" -Me That I could crash your whole system by putting in an incorrect code -Angry woman (raising her voice, almost yelling) "You put in the wrong code 8 times!!!" -Me I dont know why you are being rude to me. There is no reason for that -Angry woman "Why didnt you come in?" -Me (wondering why she waited so long to screech out the window at me if she had been sitting in there seething with rage because I was putting in wrong codes) "I didnt think you were open. Your light isnt on" -Angry woman "It should be! You can see the car there!" I looked off into the distance and saw a parked vehicle. It could have belonged to anyone. -Me "I didnt know. Your lack of professionalism is astounding and I will be writing a negative review for this place" -Angry woman "Thats fine" -Me "What do I have to do to end my contract here. Do I need to give you a 30 day notice?" -Angry woman who doesnt care at all about common decency, let alone customer service "Just have your things out by the first and leave it clean" -Me "Of course I would leave it clean (laughing). You know, there is a way to communicate with people without being rude" -Angry woman in annoyed tone "Good bye" -Me "Im sorry that you are unhappy in your life" I encourage everyone to not give their money to businesses like this. So, I am sorry if your system is designed such that it can be destroyed with the input of incorrect access codes, but realistically, how am I supposed to know that? I tried to be polite, even while this woman was openly hostile, rude, and completely dismissive. I have overlooked the frequently broken gate, the lack of snow removal, and even when a corpse had somehow ended up in their secure facillity, but I will not overlook this. I will find another facility that will not simply tolerate my presence while cashing my checks, but also has the capacity to maintain a basic level of civility when speaking. I dont expect to be pampered by service workers, Im even okay with indifference, but this was over-the-top unacceptable.

Not too happy. They have no problem taking your money, but dont stay to long. There is a nosey old lady at mine. One day she blew past our storage in her golf cart with it floored. She almost hit my car. Im glad my special needs son didnt step out of the storage and get hit. The lane was full of moving vehicles, so she angrily and defiantly squeezed in between my car and the storage door. She wanted to see what we were doing. She did this several times to spy on us.we were simply organizing our stuff and looking for things. Then one day she told us to leave. I explained that I was looking for some important court papers. She said if I didnt leave in 15 minutes that she would call the police. She might as well of been riding a broom.
