1.0 star rating 1/18/2014 First to Review So I came here the other day to pick up a package for my brother in law. They refused to release it to me even though I had all the proper paper work from usps to pick up the package in his place. (He was out of town and he had asked me to do him this favor of picking the package up) When I spoke to the female manager she told me that someone with a valid ID of that address must pick up the package because of insurance liability. It didnt make much sense to me since I had all the paper work signed off on. Paper work that was through usps when they tried to drop the package off at his house. My brother in law was coming back in a few weeks and I knew that usps would only hold the package for 10 days which was the reason why I came to pick his package up in the first place. So I told her the situation and made sure that when he came back past that deadline that the package would still be there waiting for him. She said it would be waiting for him so I said "fine" and left. So he came back and picked up his package. When the employee handed him the package, which was a 50" LCD tv, they mentioned that it was a good thing that he came that day because if he waited another day they were going to give it away. Mind you that I told the manager he would be back in town on the 17th. He picked the package up on the 18th. Thank god he didnt wait because I wouldve never heard the end of it..... I have picked up packages like this at fedex and ups the same exact way and have never had issues. This particular post office is just another reminder of my hard earned tax dollars being thrown into a black hole. I do hope that the manager realizes that you have to run this place like an actual business. You guys arent the DMV and there are other choices out there. With all the trouble that usps has had with the increasing competition I have some advice for you guys! Provide customer service by listening to your customers, use your critical thinking skills, and maybe... just maybe, you will still be around in the next 5 years.

Was very disappointed when a couple of days ago my husband and I went to file and get pictures taken for our sons passport, First of all he is an infant and they had a hard time taking his passport picture, we started the process with a very nice lady and continued with a different-very rude lady. She printed a picture of our son crying and she said "this picture is no good , you can keep it" .... then she told us they might not accept any of the pictures they took of my son and I said... well cant you take another one?... I mean we are paying for it... She said No! We cant waste our time! She spoke very poor English and was very rude and not helpful at all. We made an appointment and got there 15min earlier cuz we knew the picture was going to take time. Im not saying all the people working here are rude, but better costumer service is much appreciated. Now we are just hoping we get the passport picture accepted. It was very frustrating.

Horrible!!! Our attorney send us important documents Certified Mail and the package wasnt even attempted to be delivered. After talking with manager after manager and numerous phone calls they said that they are unable to gaurantee packages...way to go USPS. FedEx and UPS are more expensive, but at least they deliver. The reason the Crystal Lake post office said our package was not delivered and sent back to attorney was adressee unknown....then why do I get junk mail? It took nearly a month before our attorney received the package back aa it was lost by USPS. If you can avoid this office do and if you avoid USPS as much as possible, there are better alternatives!

They never want to help. I had a package that went out for delivery and never arrived. Called in three times and left my info three times. Went into the Post Office twice and left my info twice. Never got a call back about any information regarding my package. So, I watched the package through the tracking number online, ended up at the Chicago Hub. Then finally a week later I go my package. One month after the estimated delivery date. So, I talked to 5 different people and left my info 5 different times and no one reached out about my package. They just kept telling me to check my mail box and house to see if it was delivered. No help.

Disappointed by lack of effort. I received a postage due notice in my mailbox for an item that I had been waiting for. It was left in the mailbox outside of my business during normal business hours. Its very obvious that we were open during that time. Carrier chose to just leave the notice rather than bring it in and collect the money. He/She did not fill out any of the important info such as when and how to pick it up at the post office. Made a visit there and was told Id have to come back at another time since he/she was still out on route. Just plain lazy.

So I called this number and one of two things happened. I called and asked if this was the post office because I got an aggravated "hello?. The guy said no this is not the post office and hung up. Or two its actually not the post office number. Either way this is crap. Im sticking to UPS. I havent received my packages I ordered 2 weeks ago and it should have been here already.

I am so upset as to why the mail man has not delivered any mail to me at all sine May 20,2015 only to find out I have a package waiting for me at post office since 5/20/15. Which I found about by tracking number. He never once said anything to me .I see him every day around 2:30pm to 3:00pm delivering mail.

Everyone is so knowledgeable, kind and get you in and out and on with your life. It is a very popular post office so they can get long lines but the people there really try to move you in and out fast and are kind while doing so.
