In short: They lie and lie and lie. They have been goimg to my reviews commening on them with more lies. They overfilled my engine with oil, and shortened the life of my spark plugs and catalytic converter. https://youtu.be/I2hrweaCRVg https://youtu.be/IMl0rPnlN_g Detailed: I took my car there to ask them about a ticking noise my engine had started to make. They heard it, and then checked the oil level and claimed it was about 2 quarts of oil low, so I voiced my concern, saying that I had checked it the night before, and it was full. The technician told me that its a hard dipstick to read, but it was in fact 2 quarts low. So, 2 quarts of oil was added. On my way out, before I even hit the main road, my car was making massive amounts of smoke out of the exhaust and the engine would barley rev. I immediately parked it, walked back, and talked to the tech. He got the car back to the service bay and did a completely new oil change. When it was done, the manager told me that my car has bad internal damage and that is why its smoking, telling me I need my entire engine overhauled, or replaced. I suspected that they had over filled the engine with oil, and that was the problem, but they did not admit to this and kept feeding me bs, so I just left. I decided to risk driving my car with its destroyed engine 90 miles back home to the mechanic I trust. After about 10 miles, the smoking had stopped and over 90 miles, the car drove the way it did before handing it to Dobbs. I Told the mechanic what had happened and asked him to check the engine for the original ticking, and to check into the problem Dobbs claims I have. After 1 minute with a stethoscope he pin pointed the original problem to a fuel injector and pretty much said everything Dobbs told me was wrong, that they most likely overfilled the engine with oil. Thanks to Dobbs I can pretty much kiss my Catalytic converter goodbye, and same with my spark plugs.

Unhappy with the service. Had over a $1000 worth of work done on a 98 Ford Taurus a year ago. I had problems with the breaks, steering wheel would shake when breaking, and starter. The starter would sometimes not engage when starting the car. They said the starter needed replaced and this fixed this issue. For the breaks, they apparently just turned the rooters. A couple weeks later I had the same problem with the breaks. I took the car back and they told me I now needed new rooters and break pads. I stressed the fact that I just had the car into their shop for this same problem. They did not care and wanted to charge me another $500 or so. I didnt have them work on the car. I picked up the car and they charged me another $25 diagnostic fee just to get my car back. I was not happy and will never take my car to another Dobbs again. They charge too much and do not care about their customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My wife Maggie and I agree that the Dobbs store in Edwardsville is the best Auto Service Center that we have ever encountered. Zach, Terry, Craig and Mike in particular are the best Customer Service Reps anywhere. They have become good friends and always deliver excellent service and we have learned to trust their advice and depend on them everytime we need something done on our car. From routine oil changes and tire rotations to brakes, tires and anything else that needs replacement. We do not have to shop around we just call Dobbs in Edwardsville. The mechanics there are first rate and we know they go the extra mile to do the job right and as quickly as possible. We would most definitely recommend Dobbs and the Edwardsville store in particular as the best place to go for auto service needs. Sincerely Bill and Maggie Wakeman

First time I took my car was to have the oil change done. Got it back that evening and drove it to dinner that night. When I was leaving the parking lot I got pulled over. Dobbs turned off my automatic lights and never turned them back on. A little frustrating and luckily still had to recept for a believable story for the cop who thankfully just gave me a warning. Now i made an appointment last Tuesday to drop off on Saturday. Dropped it off early this morning. They said that they should have it back by five. Called at 5:30 to find out that they were closed. They never notified me that I would not be getting my car back til sometime after they open at 9 tomorrow. Now scrambling to figure out how I am supposed to get there and what to do in the morning prior to nine without my car. Never going to Dobbs again!

Last visit due to A/C not working. We had taken to the local dealer for recall work and had them review the A/C out of convenience. They recharged the A/C system, said they pressure tested for leaks and called it fixed. The next day, the A/C wasnt working. Took to Dobbs for a 2nd opinion. They performed thorough analysis to show us the root issue vs. what the local GMC dealer mis-diagnosed. They took the time to explain how the components worked and how they had come to their conclusions. We have had numerous other repairs there including repairs done for free under their fixed forever warranty and purchase all tires there as well. Great experience overall.

I came into this location with a unique problem that was caused by a different Dobbs location. When I spoke to them, they jumped to action, fixed the issue, no questions asked. I was floored! I walked into this location an emotional mess due to oil change gone wrong that could have delayed our planned trip and they fixed it for me. Corey was amazing and so was the other gentleman that helped me out (I cant remember his name) Thank you all for such amazing service, professionalism and customer respect!

They 100% worked with her and gave that young lady the best service a mama could hope for. Great staff who must be led by fantastic management. Each time I have had to go there they have been noting but upfront with me on cost and make an effort to ensure I am completely satisfied. 5 stars Edwardsville Dobbs!!!

They broke my tire sensor when repairing a flat, lied and charged over 100$ for a 24$ slow leak. Not only this - they also left my rim filthy and greasy. They put 44 lbs of pressure in my tire instead of 32 and also now there are three errors in my dash mentioning a TPMS malfunction when before there were none. Dont go here unless you want to be ripped off.
