I have a 2004 Acura TL 3.2 and came to them with an engine error code, I already knew exactly what was wrong with the car and gave them the error code left my car and got a diagnostics charge that gave me the same error code I gave them which did nothing for me. I simply wanted an estimate, went into the shop several times, they never gave me an estimate, never called back, and I asked them to refund me the charge. They didnt refund it, and I feel as though I was charged for nothing, I wanted an estimate and wanted to get the car fixed there, but after the sales rep admitted everything was a misunderstanding and apologized he said he would still not refund it even after he had specifically told me he had no issue refunding me that charge at a prior time. I have no worry about $50 diagnostics charge, but the fact that this place deals poorly with issues made me not want to go back, ever again. German auto tech lost several thousands of dollars of business from me. Why would you charge me to tell me what is wrong with my car when I already told you EXACTLY what was wrong with my car and just asked for a damn estimate?

On December 23, my Mercedes broke down. I was driving from North Carolina to New Mexico to see my parents for Christmas. I had my 10 year old daughter with me. The guys at German Auto looked at the car and found that the problem was not my transmission, but a sensor that affected my transmission. While looking under the hood, they noticed that my water pump was broken and would have left me stranded on the side of the road. They took turns working on my car and got it fixed that day so my daughter and I would not be stranded in West Memphis over Christmas. They also helped me find a place to stay where I could keep my dogs with me and gave me a loaner car. Once I got to my parents, they called me to make sure I made it okay. I would recommend this company to anyone. I really appreciate the service I got.

Beemerbuzzer never mentioned that he was former employee....Sounds like beemerbuzzer is trying to sabotage his former employer.....HMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! I personally recommend German Autotech to all my Friends and Family. I give them an A++++ for Service and Customer Service. I diagree with the comment about "Horrible Customer Service‎‎" The so called $3000 dollar quote is exactly what it is A QUOTE.....If you would have the scheduled maintenance done as scheduled then maybe your bill wouldnt overwelm you......sounds like your pocket book was a little small for your vehicle selection....talk about common sense.... and by the way if German Autotech wasnt so busy maybe they could waste their time dealing with a customer who wants something for nothing.

I highly recommend these folks. I was away from my home town, on a roadtrip, experienced engine trouble, and hobbled in to their shop. I drive a 2013 Volkswagon Jetta GLI. They correctly diagnosed the problem and had me back on the road in a couple hours, engine working perfectly. I was shown the faulty part after it was removed from the engine and it was clearly in need of replacement. I liked how the mechanic took me under the hoist after the work was completed and pointed to a few areas around the engine that would need attention at some point in the future. There was no hard sell regarding those and I did see the problems (oil leaks from the main seal and timing cover gaskets). Big thanks to all the friendly staff there.

Fantastic service!!! I really want to thank the whole staff at German Auto Tech!!! They saved my whole family during our car breakdown near West Memphis. We were returning home to south Texas from Missouri when our Mercedes broke down and had to be towed in. They were able to pull in parts and get us back on the road in just a few hours. The young lady at the front counter was especially wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and helped us get comfortable while we waited. Overall, I think theyve got a tremendous operation and would recommend them to all of my friends and family Thank you again GAT for saving our drive home and getting us back on the road!!!

Back in late January 2013. My wife and I were on our way from El Paso Texas. to Southern Indiana to bury my Dad. The water pump went out on our 2007 BMW 335I. We had it towed to GERMAN AUTO TECH late in the day. I was thinking - we would need to make arrangements to stay in West Memphis for the evening...but that was not the case! The Staff stayed after business hours to get my wife and I back on the road...so, that we would be in Indiana to take care of family needs the next morning! Thank you so much GERMAN AUTO TECH for your concern for your out of state customers! May the Lord continue to Bless you all!

I have a 1999 Jetta and Ive been to Memphis German Auto Tech several times. Personal customer service and transparency are strengths of theirs. I had my timing belt and water pump replaced for a lower price than at the dealer, and was very pleased with the result. Ive also had a coolant leak repaired and work done on my AC. Dealing with car repairs are less stressful than usual at MGAT, because Trey takes the time to form good relationships with his customers, knows them by name, listens to their concerns, and explains the situation to them in understandable lay terms. I highly recommend MGAT.

I took my daughters VW Jetta from Jonesboro AR to German Autotech for service because I cant find any VW shop in AR. I need new bushing, timing belt, and oil change plus tire rotation. I had to travel 500 miles from Chicago to bring the car from Jonesboro to West Memphis for the service appointment. Well, I wasnt disappointed at all. The services were performed on-time and professionally. The people at the shop were very knowledgeable of the cars. I am completely satisfied with the service. I like to specially acknowledge Rebecca at the shop. She was just great to work with. Thank you.

My wife and I were traveling from Minneapolis to FL via New Orleans in my 1970 camper. Outside of Memphis master cylinder decided it was having no more of it. We did some searching and found GAT. They were a godsend. Stuck around a little late so we could get our van inside the fence for the night, our part showed up hours early, and they got right to work. Fast, super reasonable, and really friendly. They got us on the road and going again fast and inexpensively. I usually work on all my own stuff, but obviously this was beyond a roadside repair. Cant recommend more highly.

Had my Smart there for some warranty work. Bought an extended warranty from Carmax. The warranty company worked fine, but I warn everyone to stay away from the Memphis Carmax. They kept our car on their lot for 10 weeks. Was told the deductible would be $50 if we brought it in to Carmax and $100 if we took it to any other shop. All that wait and we still got charged $100. GAT did an excellent job for us in a short time. Needed a complete engine replacement. I would recommend them to anyone. We will certainly use them when needed.
