If you want customer service that goes above and beyond, go to D&R Autoworks. I recently bought a Groupon for an oil change/comprehensive check/the works, along with a few additional part replacements. I was a bit worried about going to a mechanic I hadnt been referred to by a friend, but Im thankful I found these guys (and didnt mind traveling a bit to get there thanks to their complimentary car loan/shuttle service to the train). Jeff is a great guy - hes friendly, professional, and prompt with calls to update you on your vehicle. After I picked my car up, I noticed a strange sound - immediately, Jeff took care of the situation and got my car back in the shop, inspected by his coworkers and bosses, fixed, and was in communication the entire time. It wasnt from anything they did wrong - I just drive an older vehicle thats a bit more finicky. Jeff and his crew went above and beyond to fix it, apologized for the problem (even though it wasnt from a repair they did) and delivered my car to my house along with coupons for my next visit. What could have been a headache was a breeze, and Im thankful Ive found an honest mechanic who values good customer service fully.

D&R Autoworks has excellent car service. D&R has fixed my cars for a long long time. I have never been unhappy with the quality of their work. Right now my car is over 10 years old and it would not be running if it were not for the conscientious, excellent work they do. They are trustworthly, honest and competent. They are pro-active about my vehicle instead of just fixing what needs to be fixed so that I never have the headaches of getting stuck anywhere. My car just passed the emissions test without a glitch. Their customer service is excellent. You can always get a loaner if you need one. Recently they evaluated a used car for my nephew. Their recommendation was not to purchase it...thank goodness!! We brought a second car to them for evaluation. They gave it a green light. It is a wonderful car and has gone to Eastern Michigan three times already. I can feel confident that it is a good car for my nephew. This has saved us both in $$$ and peace of mind!! I live in Chicago & come all the way out to have D&R do ALL repairs and maintenance for my car - I would not go anywhere else!!

I had two vehicles that I regularly had serviced at D&R for a little over a year. We went there initially because they can handle both domestic and imports. Most of the time, they do good work at reasonable prices. However, if something ever goes wrong, they are reluctant to take any responsibility. We had an alternator go just a few miles after leaving the garage. May have been a coincidence, but more likely was that they got some water in there after powerwashing the engine. They would not own up at all, fortunately, our warranty covered the repair. We also had another service that needed re-repairing a few months later. We had moved by that point, so I had another garage take care of it. D&R offers a warranty on their service, but once again, they were not interested in taking responsibility. The owner actually informed me that I had to get his approval first before I could put in a claim. (Kind of like an HMO for cars I guess) Fortunately, I was able to contact their warranty service directly and the claim was approved. Imagine that.

I figured that it was worth a shot giving somebody besides my dealer a shot at servicing my car. ITS NOT. This company has rude, aggressive salesmen, and they put a defective component in my car. In this case, they put in a battery that failed after only 6 months. When I called to complain the "service" manager started to attack me as being crazy and irrational for listening to the dealer and he basically wanted to pick a fight with me. My experience with this company may be a one-off bad experience, but in my opinion, they treat customers like dirt and I question the part they installed in my car.

Our family has brought our cars to Dan Buss at D&R Autoworks for a number of years. Great response time from Dan and his staff when there are unexpected problems with our cars. Very detailed in explanation of the problems and the solutions. Always feel Dan and his staff are watching out for our best interests. Also, nice to get a complimentary car wash and loaner car when needed. Looking forward to Dans new location at Old Deerfield Rd and Old Skokie Rd in Highland Park. Kudos Dan and continued success!

They are honest and sincere in their every effort to satisfy every customers needs. They will give your auto an entire inspection and make sure that you never are left in the dark about what is and is not needed to keep your vehicle in top shape! DO NOT GO TO D&R HIGHLAND PARK, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A FEMALE. THEY ARE DECEPTIVE. TELL YOU THAT YOU GET A FREE ESTIMATE AND WHEN THEY CALL YOU THAT THEY HAD TO DO ALL THESE TESTS AND THE MINIMUM YOU GET CHARGED IS $600. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLEAGUE. ITS A TRAP. AND THE LOANER YOU GET IS CRAP. i hurt my back so badly, i had to go to therapy. do not get fooled. ITS A CONVENIENTLY LOCATED TRAP.

They WILL rip you off! DO NOT GO HERE! They took advantage of my wife whos in the Navy. She told them not to work on our vehicle until Monday, because we were thinking about getting a second opinion from elsewhere, so instead of waiting they decided to start on Saturday, disregarding my wifes request! So now we owe them. These crooks will be dealing with me later today!

We had a 1975 Mercedes 450SL and needed some work done. Our local repair person referred us to D&R because they specialize in the kind of work we needed done. They were excellent and their pricing was very fair. We recently sold the car to my brother and he is going to continue to use them for his auto repairs. Would definitely recommend them.

We purchased a Groupon when we moved to the area, D&R did a great job, treated us as if we were regular customers, did a very complete inspection, oil change, and vacuumed our vehicle. They sent us reminders of work they felt needed doing, and called when work was complete. They were very professional and I feel you could trust them.

Had to have our car towed in and we received amazing service from the time the tow truck came to the time it was finished being repaired. Excellent customer service and I would recommend D & R Autoworks to everyone I know...They are the best anywhere on the north shore.
