These guys are THE best!! I had a 2002 Cadillac DeVille that i had come upon. I knew it needed new brakes and tires (and had a sneaking suspicion that there were other issues.) I took it into Matt and the team at Pit Stop. They itemized everything I needed to get done and sent me a detailed report electronically. Then they called and discussed each issue in depth over the phone and gave me the estimate for each issue. The total was about $2,800. I couldnt afford to get everything done. Matt reviewed the issues again and advised me what were critical safety issues that should be resolved asap and then we could work on the other issues as time and money allowed. Everything was done very professionally. I had taken my car to another place and they had the issues priced at over $4,000. I will be taking my car and my wifes car only to Matt and his team at The Pit Stop Garage!! I highly recommend them as a trustworthy shop for auto repairs!!!

Ive been to many dealerships and locally owned mechanic shops but I have never gone to anyone else since I went to Drews shop first. Ive been going there for about a year now for all 3 cars I own, regardless if its for regular maintenance or major repair. Drew is excellent mechanic, knows his job and is the most honest person I have ever seen in this business. He always takes the time to explain everything, what work is going to be done, why and how and if its really necessary or not. Every time I call him, he is available same or next day and I have never waited more then 5 minutes for service. I strongly recommend this shop for all your car needs, regardless of what kind of car you own. I have Honda, Acura and Ford and all work I have done is excellent on all three.

Drew Burmeister, who is the owner of the shop, is an amazing guy. He knows how to take care of his customers. He will give honest advice. He is everything a mechanic should be: Knowledgeable, Intuitive, Honest ,Hard Working and Ethical. I had a 105 k mile service and a remote starter for my 2004 Acura TL installed in 2010. It was worth every penny and a professional install. The car now has 150k miles. I didnt have the receipt for the work done so when I went to sell my car in Dec 2013, drew sent the receipt to the prospective buyer. I would have never thought that he would go above and beyond to help out his customer. He has won me as a customer for any future repairs. Thanks Drew, you are the best.

Had my 2004 TL in for a number of repairs. One item was the, Honda recommended, 90K timing belt service. Was quoted $1200 by a different shop, but Drew and his team did it for a little over $900. This service included the timing belt, water pump, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, hydraulic tensioner and serpentine belt... dont think the other shop included all that! One other for sure savings - had the broken stabilizer bar links replaced for only $157 - was quoted over $300 by other shop! Drew really takes the time to explain stuff and is friendly. Check this out - they actually replaced a power steering o-ring for no charge!!!!

One of the best dealerships around. I just purchased a new ILX and couldnt be happier. I had nothing but the most professional service from Luigi, Charlie and the dealership in general. I really appreciate the approach they took in selling me the vehicle. I didnt feel pressured at any time or deceived like alot of the other dealers I visited. They sold the vehicle to me based on my needs and the vehicles merits, but it was really the service that made the deal. If you are in the market for a new Acura (or anything used they have on their lot), I would highly recommend stopping by.

I brought my car in prepared to shell out money for a new muffler/exhaust system. I was so shocked when, after taking a look at my car, I was informed that all that needed to be done was tighten a few loose parts! The guys there took care of everything in under a half hour and I wasn’t charged anything for their time/services! I left there almost in tears of joy because I am broke grad student who thought she was going to have to put hundreds of dollars into an already crappy car. It was the best surprise I had in a long time. Thank you so much! I couldn’t recommend them enough!!!

Took my newly acquired MDX to Drew. He diagnosed it for free and gave me estimates for all items; compared to $169 plus tax at the acura dealer in libertyville which included a lousy oil change- no thanks. Drew was very knowledgeable and professional. I told him of a few problems it had, performed a valve adjustment and sure enough, my mileage is back and my car has never run better. Very knowledgeable and ethical mechanics at the pit shop. Drew is a reasonable mechanic and will never have you fix something you dont need. Ben P has been working on my 1999 Ford Ranger since it has had 125,000 miles. I now have 226,450 miles and it is running better than ever. The quality of work that Ben does is top notch. Never take your car or truck anywhere else except THE PIT SHOP!!!Both these guys are very clean mechanics.They will always go above and beyond to service your car/truck. I will NEVER take my Ranger anywhere else

First time using these guys and it will not be the last, have found myself my local mechanic. Car needed some work, I knew I was in for a bit of a bill but these guys kept me informed all the way through. They actually send pictures of repairs that need to be done and I was given multiple options on pricing for parts. I had just moved back home after 30 years in the city and was hoping for the best my first time out in the car repair business. These guys hit a home run, like I said my cars have found themselves a garage.

My car trunk latch broke. Before being able to bring my car in, the battery gave out because of the winter weather, leaving me stranded at my house. Drew, the owner, came by my house and gave me a jump, and fixed my car to perfection while I sat in a new and well-furnished waiting room, drinking some hot coffee at the shop. It is great to have a shop that I not only trust, but that goes the extra mile. You cant find service like this at another garage- theyre great! Thank you to the Pit Shop staff.

Found this awesome place on craigslist. Spoke with Drew before coming in. Told him what i need. He was more knowledgeable on what needed to be done, then 4 other shops i talked to. He accommodated my schedule, opening for me at 7 am instead of 8. The job was done very fast, no hassle, no problems, clean shop. Drew is very knowledgeable. Gave me some nice pointers. Even though this place is about 30 miles from my house will do business again with them. Thank you. Good Luck
