This is the absolutely best, honest, friendliest mechanic around! Ive been going here for 8 years and they only expand more. They have to much work to find things to fix on your car. Jesse and Pete are "The Man." Ive gotten statements such as "we could put new brake pads on but you still have another 20K miles. They cleaned them for $50 and I drove another 30K on them. Ive brought my car in for what I thought was major things and they told me they did not need to be fixed. Others would have fixed the things I questioned. I dont do chains places! Again, they have lines 12 deep of people waiting to get inside at 7AM just to get their work done. They have expanded 3x and get to much business to find things to fix. Just call them the night before, tell them whats wrong and drop the keys off. They do all the rest. They know my cars needs and the history of my car. I have warranties on all the work done which "IS" the most important in continuing with them. Plus, they are very quick.

We really wanted to have Casey be our trusted repair place because we live walking distance from the shop, and it would be very convenient to drop off the vehicles when needed. Unfortunately our experience was terrible. We brought the first vehicle in for an oil change with the coupon. They said it would be a 30 min turnaround, but it ended up being 2 hours, and the employee would not give us any info nor let us have the car back on our request after the first hour. The next morning we discovered the puddle of oil on the garage floor and brought it back right when they opened. They said they would have the drain plug fixed right away, then after another 2 hour wait, with me standing at the counter asking every 15 minutes where it was, they apologized for stripping our oil drain plug, but the "repair" was to use a rubber stopper in the drain hole. Huh? Imagine that falling out while driving down the Kennedy.

I appreciate the free oil change received as a result of "GOODWILL FOR INCONVENIENCE / POOR SERVICE" but you still lost a customer. Had you simply set the proper expectations up front when I dropped my vehicle off at 8:00am with how long it was going to take to perform an estimate along with complete the repair I would have probably rescheduled the brake repair and only had the oil change performed. 5.5 hours to perform an estimate and then to be told the brakes were going to cost $800 and will likely not be completed before you closed in 30 mins (and after I had to call YOU for a status update at 1:30pm) is completely ridiculous! Thanks but no thanks. Anyone looking for service beyond a simply oil change beware, they care more about turning and burning customers than taking care of one looking to have services performed that will take more than 30 mins.

The customer service at this location cant be beat! They didnt just explain what was wrong, but showed me, in addition to helping me understand why it was in disrepair before they fixed it. They had it done in just a couple hours, gave me a loaner car to run errands while they were working on it so I could go about my normal day, and when I got back, not only did I find out that the parts they replaced were still under warranty, but didnt charge me for labor because they were fixing something that they had already fixed in the past. So, I HIGHLY recommend Casey Automotive in Palatine. Especially if you get to work directly with the shop manager, Mike. He treats you right and is probably the most forthcoming mechanic Ive ever met! Definitely worth the drive there, and I WILL be going back for all my car service needs!

Well, I wanted to take this time out and give my feedback about Casey automotive in Palatine, IL. I admit that I had my doubts about their expansive services but I was totally surprised that they didnt even charge me for anything. I had a failed emission testing and I took my car to them. Usually they charge $69+ taxes for diagnostics. They ran diagnostics and didnt find anything wrong with the car. They told me that I should drive the car for few days and bring it back to them to run the diagnostics again. For both the times they didnt charge me anything. I was totally impressed by their professional and honest services. I would like to thank Jessie for spending time on my car and giving his honest opinions. I will be taking all my cars to them moving forward. Thanks for reading!

As always, very professional & courteous service. I come here for all my car maintainance and oil changes. I was in for two new fornt tires and they recommended new struts for my caravan based on the mileage and how it handled on a test drive. I had them replaced and did the rear also. Made a very big difference. The brakes even seem to work better and the van doesnt bounce anymore after hitting bumps. Didnt notice this before. They discounted the alignment and provided me a Monroe sponsored rebate coupon for $50 ! Cant thank them enough for pointing out this service. I would have never thought that it could make that much difference. My van has 85K miles on it and the ride feels like new againI I will be driving it for another few years thanks to casey auto in palatine.

I dont usually take the time to write reviews, but something needs to be said about the terrible customer service at Caseys in Palatine. I tried on multiple occasions to bring my car in for a simple oil change. Each time I was rudely told that they "didnt have time"...this happened on 3 separate occasions, even though the shop closes at 6:00 on weekdays and I brought my car in as early as 3-3:15. The attitude was the worst - "Jesse" was the employee that I mainly dealt with. I finally gave up and went elsewhere - while I cant say anything about the quality of work (because they clearly didnt want to work on my car!), I can say that their arrogance and rudeness was completely unwarranted.

I dont feel that I was treated honestly at this repair shop. Even though they came recommended by my family and they have been using this place for years - I felt that not only was the price that was quoted higher than other shops in the area but they also "found" many other problems that needed to be fixed. I didnt have the work done there at the time, one is because the estimate was so high, and two was because I felt that I have a fairly good understanding of vehicle maintenance and the items that were quoted didnt seem to make sense. I dont like feeling that I am not able to trust the person or persons that will be working on my car - I will be going elsewhere.

Fuel injection part was broken and my check engine light came on, right when I needed to get the emissions test done, to renew my registration. Cant drive around IL with expired plates for very long, Murphys Law right? So, for a very competitive price, Casey fixed my car, turned off the light and WENT TO THE IL EMISSIONS FACILITY AND GOT THE EMISSIONS TEST CERTIFICATION FOR ME SO I COULD JUST GO TO THE DMV FOR MY PLATE REGISTRATION. This place has beyond great customer service. I have never been treated in a discourteous manner by any employee. Both my brother and husband have had great service done on their cars here too.
